Oh, that song. I honestly had no idea that was its title. Now for something very different - it is time to fire up those drum machines:
No Devotion
Revolting Cocks
Huh... for some reason, I had always thought that Revolting Cocks were punk, rather than industrial. Thanks for my "learn something new every day" moment, Vattnisse!
Rest in Pieces
Mesh
I had an idea you might like RevCo! I like Stainless Steel Providers a lot, and their version of Do Ya Think I'm Sexy is hillarious. Finally, though Crackin Up isn't very industrial-sounding, it is probably the finest ode to crack cocaine ever penned. The original video is completely nuts; too bad I couldn't find it anywhere.
Now, once again, we go to something completely different:
Military Man
Gary Moore and Phil Lynott
And now for something partially similar....
Men In Tights
Hummie Mann
I love that movie!
More Human Than Human
Rob Zombie
Kiss
Art Of Noise and Tom Jones
Better than the original. So there.
Agreed, Vatnisse
Jesus Built My Hotrod
Ministry
Mistral Wind
Heart
BTW, the concert video this is taken from is absolutely amazing.
Heaven On Their Minds
Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber
Ring Ring
ABBA
The outfits the band are wearing in the video are so '70s; they look like refugee circus performers.
Apache
Incredible Bongo Band
Speaking of 70s outfits - Dave Hill (he's the guitarist that doesn't sing) is actually kinda understated in this clip by his standards. Ponder that for a bit.
Bangin Man
Slade
Bullet The Blue Sky
a U2 original, covered very nicely here by Sepultura
Pathfinder Battles Case Subscriber; Pathfinder Maps, Pathfinder Accessories Subscriber; Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber
Black Mass
Electric Wizard
Mr. Ed Theme Song
Jay Livingston and Ray Evans
Let Me Blow Ya Mind
Eve feat. Gwen Stefani
Superheroes
Richard O'Brien
Vega's Theme
Yoko Shimomura
Saturday Night
Whigfield
Some British music publication (probably New Musical Express, but I forget) argued some years back that this is the worst song to ever top the English charts. I don't disagree.
Wybie
Bruno Coulais
WWWWW.C-C-COMBO BREAKER!!!
Dhalsim's Theme
Yoko Shimomura
Solitude
Candlemass
Amazing song, amazing album.
Closer
Nine Inch Nails
If I remember correctly, MTV only aired the video in the late slot because it was considered too ooky... so, maybe NSFW, depending on how persnickety your workplace is.
Altogether ooky, even! I could see all sorts of reasons people would have been likely to complain about that just from watching the first minute or so, but I could actually see concerns about animal cruelty being a legitimate one. On the other hand, it was a kick to recognize those lyrics from the Weird Al Yankovic medley!
Moving on: I have my fair and filling portion of complaints vis-a-vis what Ubisoft has done with Might & Magic, but not too much regarding the music (and it's easy to see why - they kept the composer)!
Necropolis Theme from Heroes of Might & Magic V
Rob King and Paul Romero
I played Heroes of Might and Magic III and Master of Orion for days on end. For some reason, I haven't even looked at their followups.
Winnebago Warrior
Dead Kennedys
Other Father's Song
Bruno Coulais (and John Hodgeman)
Big Bottom
Spinal Tap featuring every bass player in the world
Kings Of Metal
Manowar
I always thought Manowar was some sort of elaborate prank, or at the very least heavily ironic. Frighteningly, it turned out they are totally serious.
