Reading through D0, I noticed that Falcon's Hollow is supposed to be home to 1,400 persons. Is that correct? It seems a lot for a wild lumber outpost/town.
Also, the map seem to show buildings that could host maybe half of that figure, at most (IMHO).
As way of comparison, Diamond Lake was just above 1,000 inhabitants. The way I picture Falcon's Hollow from the module, it should probably be less, isn't it?
Any official or unofficial comments?
Thanks in advance!

I have to agree. I thought the same thing when I saw the map of the town. The only recourse would be to have most of those lumberjacks living outside of town.

I downloaded the module and I do not see a map of the town. Am I missing something?
The map is in today's Blog post.

Unless . . . you guys have already downloaded D1 and there is a map in there.
It's HERE.
I suspect that some of the bigger buildings in the middle are boarding houses and factory dormitory buildings. Still not sure how many people would fit in there.
EDIT: Zaister beat me to it.

I believe D1 addresses this. Basically, Falcon's Hollow is a community surrounded by farms and lumber camps. Farmers live on their farms, lumberjacks live in the lumber camps. The people who actually live in the town is a fraction of this number. Most of the town's "inhabitants" don't actually live in the town.

I can hear 'em now ...
I'm a lumberjack and I'm okay
I sleep all night and I work all day
He's a lumberjack and he's okay
He sleeps all night and he works all day
I cut down trees, I eat my lunch
I go to the lavat'ry
On Wednesdays I go shopping
And have buttered scones for tea
He cuts down trees...
He's a lumberjack...
I cut down trees, I skip and jump
I love to press wild flow'rs
I put on women's clothing
And hang around in bars
He cuts down trees...
He's a lumberjack...
I cut down trees, I wear high heels
Suspendies and a bra
I wish I'd been a girlie
Just like my dear papa
He cuts down trees...
He's a lumberjack...

That may or may not fit in here, but:
I don't seem to find any information (neither in D0 nor in D1) about "Vade's Tower" (Number 13 on the Town's Map).
Has that part of my brain just vanished, or is it just a tower everybody in Falcon's Hollow calls so for no reason whatsoever?
You will find that we will include marks on all (or at least, most) of our overland maps that we don't talk about at all in the text. Many of these we'll never, ever touch on, and are included to help spur your imagination as the GM. "Vade's Tower, eh? There must be some guy named Vade. Let's see, what did this Vade fellow do to need a tower..."
This is yet another way we're looking at the old way of doing things. Lots of places in Greyhawk started out like that. :)

Thank you, Mr. McArtor.
...
But: Yesterday afternoon I read through my newly arrived print-copy of D1 (I live in Austria) and I found what I was searching for just a few paragraphs below where I originaly searched.
Sharvaros Vade: This odd hermit lives in a small shack just outside of the town proper, only a stone’s throw from the local cemetery. Most know Vade is a strange man but few are aware of his expertise at necromancy.
Vade conducts vile experiments on corpses unearthed from the graveyard in the deep gloom of night, forcing his son to assist him. Vade is bony and thin, with gray eyes and an unkempt black beard.
That description doesn't really fit to the map, but I don't have to tell that to my players.
Anyway, Thanks again, I like the Idea.

True that.
But no Cookie. Would you like a "Mozartkugel" instead?(Yeah, I had trouble with the Spoiler-Code... Damn Safari)

These strange practices are maybe why Vade lost his tower and now lives in a shack. But who has appropriated his tower now?? ;-)
So: not necessarily conflicting info. We can make it fit together.
