JILL VALENTINE IS WALKING ON MY SCREEN! YAHOO!

1. Did over 6 hours of SCAP research/prep.
2. Argument issues are (hopefully) behind us for now.
3. Awaze Tibbs for dinner from Red Sea tonight
4. Wonderful spouse-creature. :)

I'm watching the cats hunt moths. What more can I say? Its miller time!

Scarab Sages

The Philadelphia concert by The Police is only 4 days away!

I'm going to game today - either Age of Worms, or Shattered Gates of Slaughtergarde.

You. Need. Help. Now.

1. Braylon Edwards (NFL Player) and Mike Hart (All American College FB Player) showed up at the bowling alley tonight and I got to bowl only a couple of lanes away for a couple of hours. That was cool.
2. Bowled well...too bad it was only practice and I didn't do well in leagues.
3. First SCAP meeting tomorrow night and then the campaign will be rolling either next week or the week after

I would have squealed like it was the Beatles! You are too lucky, did you ask for an autograph?

Can you tell us how it goes? I've had Shattered Gates for a while and not a chance to run it.

Having my Finland vacation with my fianceé as a fond memory now, and looking forward to

1. The end of my workday (wellll, ~ 5 hours to go, but still...)
2. reading KoboldQuarterly1
3. reading Dragon 357 and Dungeon 148 (which waited for me when we came back from Finland)
4. Playing AD&D2 the whole weekend, with two new characters for me: A real kick-ass Half-Orc (STR and CON both at 19), and a summoner specialist wizard from Glantri (Mystara setting), who is from the "Scots" family of this crazy country.
5. Going to the Mythodea LARP from 1st to 5th August - a really huge affair, with literally thousands of players.
6. Starting to prepare my Knights Campaign again - and updating the Campaign Journal with the last few sessions.

That´s enough goodness for now, I think :-)

The Police Concert here in Philly is now slightly less than 36 hours away.

Well, as long you don´t make an hourly countdown now :-))

I wish I could hear them live. Tell us about it afterwards.

Heh. I'm not so much into autographs, so no. I did want to challenge them and their friends to bowl against my friends and I but I was outvoted. I thought that would have been fun. The owner of the bowling alley had one of his employees go out and buy a poster of Braylon and had them sign it and he hung it up though. They seemed to be pretty cool guys. Living on U-Michigan's campus I have a nice opportunity to run into some pretty cool people at times, but usually not for that long of a period (2 hours+ in this case). It was definitely fun.

The Police concert here in Philly is now less than 12 hours away. Huzzah!

Went to Assateague Island and got to frolic on the beach with real wild horses! They come right up to you and everything. You see them running on the beach (which is ranked as one of the top 10 beaches on the east coast) and playing in the surf. Very artistically motivating and majestic. Not my pics but something to show what I am talking about.

Now just set the hook! They NEED you but you can't be cocky about it. You want to HELP them to be great by supplying them with your greatness!

Employers don't do 2nd interviews without a good reason.
Good luck, brother!

I am in a good position because I am working, making good money... I jsut hate my boring arse job, so I am patiently looking for better not desperately flailing around

This place would add another 5 minutes or so to my commute, and they want me to work 8-5 instead of 7:30 to 4... we'll see what we can come up with...

Oh yeah and MORE MONEY

The tv is playing the movie "Die! Die! My Darling!" and now I have the Misfits song of the same name stuck in my head. A sedentary unemployed lifestyle has changed my interpretation of the word "good".

I just faxed my application to adopt a puppy from a local no kill shelter! I'm really nervous they're going to see I have three cats without a fenced in yard and think I'm nuts for wanting a puppy. But, I do. It would make me really sad if I get denied because of that. I really want to support no kill shelters and try to help them out the best I can, so that would make it sting even more.

Plus side: I faxed something for the first time!! Whoo! Go me! And I should be getting a puppy soon! Whoo! Yaaay!

Get one of those Petsafe underground fences, if you train him/her right they work great and are pretty cheat ($120 on ebay). That might help this the adoption. Good Luck.

Dreamweaver and I got one for our puppy and basically you dig along the outline of your yard with an edger you can buy from Home Depot for 20 bucks and stick the wire in the ground. It doesn't take a rocket scientist and it does work. FYI don't drive over the line with the dogs head out the window while you are holding on to him, it does sting a bit. We got ours on ebay for 120 including shipping, at petsmart they were almost 300

Good Luck!

Hey Nani, can I come to visit you and Dreamweaver when I go take my vacation at Yellowstone in about 2 years? (It will have to be in 2 years, because I can't afford to go for at least another year or so.)

I have a really awesome purebred Siberian cat and I really enjoy being sassy to Erik and Cosmo at work but that's okay they are jerks they deserve it!!!!! (j/k!)

My brother is taking all my kids back to Washington with him to visit grandparents, my other siblings and their older sister (college girl that she is) I am going to be kidless for two weeks! I think I'm having an anxiety attack! What the heck am I, me, supposed to do without kids for that long? I think I need to go breath into a paperbag for a few minutes, if you'll excuse me...

With the empty house and school probably starting for you in about a month, I'd say get in some quality R&R time for yourself & with your husband. Without having to feed the kids for a couple weeks, you should have some extra money for going out and doing things you've not done for awhile or never done : )

Thanks! I checked it out and will talk about it with my family to see what they think. And cause they're the ones with the money. ^^;

I like sweaters.

Lucky for you Lena! I recommend watching a lot of movies and eating food you love but never get to have.

Just keep in touch with us and I don't see why that would be a problem. We do have two little girls, three cats, one dog, one hamster, one lizard and several fish that you would have to deal with but we would be more than happy to show you around here and the park.

I get to go river rafting for the first time ever! For cheap! :D

(I also get to go camping, get drunk around a fire with good friends, and howl at the moon. ^ ^)

We have a no kid weekend and we are planning on reading Harry Potter all day Saturday since that is what we never get to do.

Sleep in

Get to watch what you want to watch on tv

Have sex in random places in your house that you never get to with kids

walk around naked (its very liberating)

Cook fancy dinners for just the two of you

Remember why you fell in love

Go to as many movies as you can (kid free) buy snacks!

These are a few ideas for you, Breath and remember that you have been a mom everyday for what seems like forever, enjoy being yourself in the quietness of your own home. Good Luck

1. Decent phone interview out of the blue for a position I would love to have. (Though I suspect I will get past the phone interviews only to be denied in the final interview once again.)
2. Another consulting phone call=a little bit more money. Man I wish I could do more of those.
3. Sunny and beautful forecast for the next week.
4. Rereading the Bio of a Space Tyrant series by Piers Anthony that meant so much to me as a kid.
