They're actually cheaper than a lot of the good art schools out there.

My newborn son, (Kaden Joseph(for his grandfather)). Whom we just had to coax into breastfeeding by giving him breast milk via a syringe. There are no words to say just how satisfying and perfect this feels. I always thought it wouldn't be this big a deal. I have been a "stepdad" on and off (through various gf's and now my wife who had a little girl when we met) for almost 10 years now. Needless to say it did very little to prepare me for seeing him for the first time. I think I am going to be on a sleep deprived cloud nine for at least a week or quite possibly the rest of my life. Nothing can compare with this. High school graduation... ha. Not even graduation from Marine Corps Boot Camp (which made my grandfather cry, when no one in my family can even remember having ever seen him cry). Getting my bachelors yeah right. Even getting married pales in comparison. That such a small thing could have such an impact on my life is amazing.
There is nothing I am more proud of and I hope I feel that way for the rest of my life. Goodnight everyone. I think I will try to catch some sleep. (I so hope he sleeps good)

Hey Mr. Shiney. Even though I really do not want a room mate, I do have a spare room available if you need to use it. ~shrugs~ I have also been a colledge student, so I understand how much everything costs.

While in Iraq, I "broke" my Mac. I had gotten the power cord wrapped around my leg, and when I stood up I pulled it onto the floor. Fortunately I didn't crack the screen or anything. The machine would power up, the screen would backlight, but no video.
I started working through the homeowner's insurance, but that started to be ugly. Decided just to call Apple.
The DHL guys picked up my Apple yesterday noon. I checked the computer status, it's ALREADY repaired, ALREADY on its way back to me, and it's all COVERED by warranty!
Just in time for Pathfinder 3 GOODNESS.
Yummm.

I just had to share this news.
When I asked about introducing my 6yo twin daughters to gaming in another thread, a few of the other board members pointed me in the direction of Firefly Games' Faery's Tale. It definitely struck me as a good game to start the girls off. But that's not even the best part!
In the process of starting up this game of Faery's Tale for my daughters, my wife has agreed to join in! We've been married for 8 years, and she has never expressed an interest in gaming at all. (It's always been "I'm glad you enjoy it, but it's not my thing.") But since it's with the girls, she's decided to give it a try. I finally get to game with my best friend and teach my kids gaming at the same time!
We start this weekend, and I can't wait!

That's awesome, keep us updated on how it goes. I was so nervous when I explained to my wife(then my girlfriend) about D&D. She had thought it was a boardgame but said she'd give it try. That was three years ago and she still loves to play!

Thanks, Jack! I ran the game on Sunday. My wife wasn't feeling well and couldn't play, but the girls and I played and had a lot of fun. I've posted an annoyingly long recap in this thread.
My wife will likely be playing the next time (hopefully this weekend). I didn't have to explain too much to her about RPGs when we met. She knew people from school who played and she always had a positive impression of the game, though she didn't really understand what it was all about. She always says that all she really knows about gaming is that people who play RPGs are almost always really smart.
She has a tendency to downplay her own intelligence and also isn't really big into the fantasy genre, so she's never been interested in playing. Now that the girls are playing, though, she says she's willing to give it a try. I doubt it will ever be a big thing for her, but it'll be fun for us to play as a whole family, I think.

My exams are finally over- yay (at least until December)!
So for now, I can finally relax, and hope the months of revision have been worth it.
YAY! Hope you did well! :)
Maybe I'll go and see Indy Jones 4 in the next week.
NOOOooooooooo! Don't do it! Save yourself! :O
