This is a weird one

i think you're on to something here, but that would be a long name for a ship, (that i dont have a name for) just for now we'll call it "Jenny" (yay forest gump)

jenny the vampire-lycanthrope-half-dragon... ship

and not to mention my ship would also be virtually invincible, but if it died it would turn into gas and we would all fall into the ocean.

I think that if we are sailing around on a vampiric lycanthropic half-dragon ship named Jenny..... 8675309.... *twitch*.... we have a lot bigger problems to deal with than the fact that we will fall into the ocean if the ship dies..... however, it does give me an interesting idea for a plot hook, a living vampiric pirate ship would actually be pretty cool, and it drains the life from its crew to survive, so it has a crew of undead pirates that sails the seas not to simply plunder other ships of their valuables but of their sailors as well.... think about combining both villains and their crews/ships from the first two Pirates of the Caribbean movies into one person... could be a kinda fun back story to give to a villain.

The Exchange

yes but that brings up the question. How do you get a vampire-lycanhrope Half-dragon ship. does a vampire have to gnaw on it for a while, and then the lycanthrope gnaws on it for a while, and then explain to me how you make it a half-dragon? and would it get a breath weapon?

but besides the impossibility of the whole thing... yeah, it would be cool.

also are you ready for the one shot?

Magic!!! WoooowoooooOOOooOOoooohhhhhhh! <------- my attempt at spooky noises in writing XP

and I think I am ready for the one shot, I have a character made, but I dunno if he will be any good or if I'm really all that excited about playing him..... we'll see, it may change by the time the one-shot gets here on Thursday, I have the feeling that I should have been the one running the one shot though.... ah well, maybe it won't be so bad.....

The Exchange

your right, maybe it wont be so bad...

maybe there wont be blood rain, and hordes of undead, and vampires, and undead killing tounge things, and skeletens, and ogre zombies...

maybe if we're lucky we wont be as boned as we were last time.

by the way, what kind of character are you making, i'm making a knight.
and for once, i'm going to be human, because i need bonuses.

Hahahahahahahahahahahaha! Lawful Good Party all the way, how often does that happen?! I'm playing a Paladin/Ranger and Martin is playing a pure Pally, so that makes two Pally's and a Knight, we should work together beautifully! Martin is apparently using the same character he did for the last one shot that was run, and mine is a variant of the Shining Blade of Heironious, cept its the ranged version that worships the elf god Larethain. I took all the mounted feats and a few archery feats so that I can fly around above the battlefield raining down arrows of holy death. Oh, and I bought a Force Bow, so that I can ignore damage reduction :)

Dark Archive

I would kinda dig running that party. Put in Amanda as a LG cleric of some sort, but I'm sure Abe would want to play a necromancer.

Yeah, I can't wait to walk into a town....
Martin: Worship the strength of Pelor!
Me: No you must honor Corellon Larethain!
Amanda (if she played a cleric): All glory to Yondalla!!
Bradley: Don't listen to any of them, you must simply live with honor!

Villagers: WTF! I'm so confused!

Martin: If you continue your evil ways we will be forced to smite thee!
Me: Yay smiting! Off with their heads!
Bradley: F#@k it, kill em all!

10 minutes later and an entire village laid to waste..... Abe the necromancer wanders into town...

Abe: Sweet, more bodies for Zombies, where do they keep coming from?... (starts raising an army)

at which point we all wander out of the tavern having completed our well earned respite...

Amanda: AHHHHHH! Zombies!
Martin: (fails a spot check since he's pure Paladin) what, zombies? where?
Me: In front of you idiot!
Martin: Oh, thanks, DIE UNHOLY BLIGHTS!!!!

Zombie Villagers: Oh god, any of your gods it hurts, why are you killing us again!

Me: Because you won't stay dead, it was obviously right and just for us to kill unholy abominations like you in the first place.

Villagers: But we weren't abominations until after you killed us the first time, we were just farmers.

Bradley: Well becoming zombies was kind of a bad career move then wasn't it. You should have thought about that before you became the living dead.

Villagers: But we didn't want to be zombies, we were just fine being farmers. You made us like this.

Martin: Too late now, you must be destroyed!

Villagers: Fine just get it over with, were tired of this BS! Anything is better than listening to you idiots...

Then a half dragon shows up and saves everyone....

By the way Jason, when are you gonna start up a thread for your campaign, we need to get the board goin...... I have so much love to share.... :)

Dark Archive

Consider it done--find it under kikai13's Greyhawk Campaign!

Dark Archive

BTW, I can so picture everyone saying and doing exactly what you posted above. That's brilliant!

You missed out Jason, the game went really well tonight. The DM is getting much Much better, you can really tell that he's settling down and getting used to running a game. Although we did fight about 350 half-dragons and I am really kicking myself for making a ranger in his world and NOT taking dragon as my favored enemy, I shoulda known better. He definitely used it to Amanda's advantage though cuz he had made her character for her and went straight ranger so that she was crazy good against everything we fought, but it was not a big deal. The funniest part though was that they were half black dragons and at one point Bradley's horse melted out from underneath him when he got hit with 5 breath attacks in one round! Then as he fell off his horse he fell into a spiked pit trap, pretty funny. Oh, and of course we met a gold dragon and saw a gargantuan black dragon. Really good session though, a lot of fun for a one shot, and on top of that we made it through the entire one shot so he's getting a better grasp of how much content we can make it through in one sitting, also we had more than just one encounter in a day so kudo's to the dm. Things are looking up!

The Exchange

I too enjoyed the game, you know exept for the part where my horse got melted. but abram said he was going to kill me and he didn't. if 30 d8 wont do it i dont know what will. abe did piss me off though when he denied me all of my attacks of oppertunity. he started to move his troops and and let him know that it provokes an attack from me because of my reach and because of my ability that makes my threat area half movement. so he say fine and puts all of his people back and tells me he's going to kill me. (I dont know if the DM can metagame but that definetly seemed like it) besides that it was definetly fun, and withing our time range. now we have acually finished a one-shot, thats a first for abram.

Dark Archive

Yeah, it can be kinda harsh when a DM decides to punish you for being ready for his challenges. You probably should have just let him move his monsters one at a time, and each time one moved through your threatened area, rolled your attack of opportunity. After a few of these, he might have figured things out, but by then, hopefully, he wouldn't move everyone back to where they were and return their lost hps to them.

I can tell that he gets better with every session.

Also, don't forget that with a one shot, the DM really isn't going to know your character very well, or know your characters abilities. It would have been a lot bigger problem if he was changing moves in the campaign, however doing it in the one shot doesn't bother me that much. I mean, the creatures were intelligent and would have known better than to try and run past the giant guy with a fifteen foot spiked chain....

Hey, Bradley, I just got done seeing the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie, and while I was watching it I got to thinking.... Have you designed you flag yet? I know that Abe wanted you to, and I think the ship definitely needs something for when we strike our colors!

The Exchange

I haven't really thought of a flag yet. but the way i'm going to start playing my character... i better have four or five flags

I think that i am incapable of playing a nongood character. i wanted Hyllian to be a neutral character, but i keep steering towards good and helping people. i need help, if i'm to be a respected sailor... i mean, who ever heard of a captain thats good-aligned.

and dont say that William Turner was a good captain... he wasnt ever a captain, and Jack Sparrow is neutral, it says so in the complete scoundrel.

i need to become less affiliateed with shiptown, and start working for personnal gain.

I was also wondering, if my character was a smooth talker that got himself out of sticky situations, would that be based on my character's scores or my ability to role-play? I need to be able to speak more intelligently... and learn how to spell.

Well, have you seen the third pirates movie yet? I don't want to spoil it for you or anyone else, anyways, being a smooth talker comes both from diplomacy/bluff as well as your ability to role-play, either one can make up for a lack in the other. Obviously roleplay is the much more fun way to go about it. However, if you don't feel confident in your play, then its always good to have diplomacy and/or bluff as a backup. Also, I wouldn't necessarily consider your character a good character. You're definitely neutral since you have killed people, the book of exalted deedsalso helping others doesn't automatically cause you to be good. Neutral is a balance between good acts and evil acts, meaning that you do what the situation demands, without always being selfless or always being selfish. I hope that makes some kind of sense.... Also, it can be argued that the pirates in Pirates of the Caribbean are Lawful since they live by a code of honor, however, Jack would be Chaotic since he often ignores the code... being lawful doesn't mean that you obey the Laws of every society, that would be impossible.

Dark Archive

Well then, where to begin? There were no half-dragons last night, which was good, but it did feel a bit like we were back to the "ooh-that monster looks cool! They should fight that!" campaign. I'm reminded of the old Knights of the Dinner Table cartoon where the substitute DM is taking the player through a dungeon and the player is encountering all of the monsters in the Monster Manual in alphabetical order.

There was a totally new map, but he did come right out at the very beginning (probably to pre-empt our finding out later) and say that he got it from another video game. In fact, he offered to turn on the TV, get the game to the right point, and just let us look at that map instead. It was of a canyon area, and he asked me to describe it to the rest of the party because he didn't have time (only two weeks) to write out descriptive narration.

I guess it does make sense that we would fight a Mountain Troll in the mountains, but we are grossly underpowered in our magic items and he kept using the troll's highest attack bonus (+16) to hit. The toughest tanks in the party could, at best, take two shots before being killed--not just going down, mind you, but being completely smashed to jell-o. At one point in time, the troll scored a 32 to hit on his third swing--an impossible feat, because its 3rd swing only has a +6 to hit! I only realized these facts later, because I never refer to the Monster Manuals while playing. We were, once again, saved by an NPC.

After the Mountain Troll totally whacked the party, we searched it and found a whopping 60 s.p. We wanted to track it back to its lair and find its treasure, but were told by the DM that this would be impossible. I guess it was too small to leave footprints. We also needed to camp--badly--and recouperate, but were told that we could not because there was a better campsite up ahead.

So on the way to the better campsite, we were attacked by a Large Storm Elemental (which we dubbed the mini-hurricane) and a Huge Earth Elemental working together. They killed two members of the party, very quickly, and the rest of the group pretty much had to flee. These two would have been relatively easy for us to defeat, if we hadn't already had our asses handed to us by the Mountain Troll.

Like I have said before, he is getting better every time he runs. However, he is still making some new DM goofs (like the +16 on every swing for the Mountain Troll.) And I wouldn't mind finding some treasure or magic items every now and again.

Dark Archive

By the way, did any of us ever happen to mention that, until last night, Clerics weren't allowed in the campaign?

Eh, Clerics are allowed, they are just at a -2 spellcasting level, which basically means that they aren't allowed :) I was one of the two characters to die, however, in all fairness to the dm it was through roleplaying that I died not just the monsters, I could have survived unfortunately my story would not allow it. When I started this character I got with one of the other players and we wrote a backstory where he was the heir to a clan of information gatherers who worked behind the scenes of many kingdoms. However, with the disappearance of the god we worshipped (because all of the gods have vanished to be replaced by dragons) our family had fallen into disrepute, and lost connection between the many cities we served. The heir to the clan was also my cousin and we worked out a system to where their were shadowcasters in the clan and each had one of their cousins as a bodyguard. Thus, I was his guard, upon his death I was required to attempt to avenge it, then if I should succeed without dying myself I had to commit sepuku to retain my honor. Well, the last thing my character remembered seeing as the earth elemental knocked me unconscious, was it using another of its attacks to kill my cousin. Thus, when I regained consciousness I then waited for it to surface again so that I could fight it. Here, I thought the DM would do something cool like have one of the npc's buff me and then let me roll the fight even though I knew I was gonna die, but instead he just kinda said I died and one of the npc's watched... and then he only did so because he wanted my character to come back as an npc even though I had explained several times that he would never do so because it was in their code of honor not too... that whole thing kinda pissed me off. Furthermore, he just randomly attacked my cousin who hadn't attacked the earth elemental at all, while I had been purposely attacking it to try and draw its attention. Ah well, as for the +32 on his third attacks, I think you might have some of the rounds confused, I think when he rolled that it was on his first attack on the round. I don't recall any of his rolls where it seemed he was off on his calculations, I had pretty much figured out what its attack bonus was after the first round since he rolled everything out in the open, and the numbers seemed right to me as I watched each of his rolls. He did seem a little too happy about killing your character though. It was definitely a good thing that he gave us the Revivify once a day, cuz otherwise it would have been 3 dead characters rather than two. Which means that it would have been a TPK, cuz I doubt that Amanda and Bradley could have killed the air elemental on their own. Which reminds me, didn't an NPC kill it too, or did you have the last blow? Anyways, I think that his running of the sessions is going much smoother, now what he needs to work on is planning. He's trying to rush us along to 10th level so that he can start his "real" story, but he's not actually taking the time to figure everything out. Now that I have had to restart two characters in the past 4? sessions, I don't really think that this is helping us achieve the party unity that was his excuse for us not starting at 10th level or him not starting the campaign at 1st level for that matter. He's getting better, yes, but the planning is still sorely lacking.

Oh yeah, the new characters we're bringing in are broken goodness, I'm tired of dying so now I just cheesed this bad boy out.... to put it one way.... don't ever forget to bring the critical deck because I'm two weapon fighting and my line is +8/+8 1d12+7 18-20 x2 soon to be 15-20 x2 with my next feat and I'm only 6th level :), as for Martin, he's made a psion so yeah, it's all sorts of goodness cuz none of the DM's monsters will have power resistance! Oh yeah, if you can guess what weapon I'm using that gives 18-20 x2 and 1d12 damage, as well as figuring out how I'm dual wielding it then I will give you a cookie. Oh, and I'm not a fighter either, but your gonna have to figure out what class I am in game! Don't worry its not the broken Duskblade/Enlightened Fist that I told you about last time, though I might have to bring that in if this character dies. :)

hanDofthEwrAiTH wrote:
Ah well, as for the +32 on his third attacks, I think you might have some of the rounds confused, I...

On the last round that the Mountian Troll attacked me, he rolled a 1 against me, a second 1 against someone else (Bradley, maybe?) and then a 16. The third roll should have been a total of 22 because of the +6, but he said that it was a 32. Instant jell-o. However, I'm actually a little disappointed that I was brought back.

Hmmmmmmm, maybe I have some of the rounds confused, I thought he hit at like a 24 after rolling an 18 on the last round, and that the 32 was on a previous round that he hit, cuz you had thought that your ac should have been 2 higher from him missing, either way he should have missed I think, but who knows, probably more of a clerical error than him fudging the rolls I think, anyways you still have plenty of chances to die! :) By the way, Martin doesn't have his monster manual around cuz he lent it to Steve, do you know the CR for a large air elemental and a huge earth elemental, the DM said 5 and 7, but I don't really think that's right. It felt a lot harder than that, but maybe that's because my MAX damage was equal to their DR.....

I googled the CR on a huge earth elemental and a large air elemental, and they were 5 and 7! WOW, that felt like a much MUCH harder fight, maybe it was because I was so useless without sudden strike, but it seemed like we were all having a hard time. I mean it doesn't seem like it should have been that bad since you had all of your maneuvers and stances back, and Martin really hadn't used many of his spells, jeez guess we just got our butts handed to us. I mean, I know that we are underpowered on magic items, but still, I didn't think we were that far behind, although, I guess that the rest of the party was even further behind than Martin and I since we had 4th level gold to work with at least. I guess that is one good thing about making a new character every two levels, we make it back to average character wealth. :) I think that the worst part is that you all got extra xp since we weren't around, which means that you got even closer to leveling without gaining any more loot. Well, who knows, maybe everyone will die in the tower. I really think we need to kick the npc's out of the party, he's been increasing the CR of our group by one for each of them which means that we are fighting stuff way above our level and then the creatures are focusing most of their attacks on us, which is just brutal. Ah well, we just have to come up with a good plan of action, I really do enjoy his game overall as well as being with everyone, we have a lot of fun, but there are just those few small moments that get aggravating and then I obsess over them rather over the good parts, it's a bad habit that I need to stop :)

Oh, I did put one very nice thing on my new character that should help out a lot.... a belt of healing :) I think that has become one of my favorite items ever since you gave one to Martin in your game, so sweet!

Dark Archive

I never actually thought that he was attempting to fudge rolls, but in retrospect I do think that in the "heat of battle" he was applying +16 to most of his rolls. I don't think in any way, shape, or form that he was trying to cheat, I just think he kinda screwed up.

Yeah, its possible, but we all make mistakes, as much as we hate to admit it as dm's :) I just wish we could actually get him to read this thread for use as constructive feedback, I mean I usually try to talk to him for a bit after each session cuz he's very self conscious about his game and I know how badly he wants it to go well. I really think that it would do him good to get on here to discuss all this. I mean I'm not posting on here to bash his game, I have fun it, I just want to get some of this stuff ironed out, ya know.

Why are you going easy on this guy? If he sucks, he sucks. He's a wuss anyway for not killing you all with a half-dragon Illithid! now that would be sweet.

That's simple enough, cuz he's my friend and it's his first time running a campaign. Plus, amazingly enough, there is more to life than gaming and I am trying not to obsess over his game.

The Exchange

your absolutely right, there is more to life than abe's game... like other people's games.

but back on subject, it's my turn to vent about the game. we are in the mountains, with rocky cliffs and jagged edges everywhere, so what do i want to do... I want to use the climb skill i was given and climb some stuff only to find out that these walls are nearly impossible to climb. so I appologize for trying to add some flare and cool stuff to the game. I personnaly think thats its boring to play a fighter that just attacks things, i dont want to spend every round saying, I attack the troll, and i attack the troll again.(rinse and repeat) thats boring, thats what i did with my last character (illiden) i want to play a character who does cool and daring stuff like jumps down on people and adds some exitement and panache to the game.

but i think that abe just wants me to take the little escalators that he provides me and act generic and boring.

how would you feel if in Pirates of the carribean 3 jack and the crew just went around the whole movie and pirated and plundered and never did anything exiting. my character isn't just some run of the mill pirate man damn it!

but besides the fact that we were out CR'ed again the game was really fun, i wouldnt stop playing for anything, and darn it, my character wil do something cool one of these days you just wait.

but you know whatever...

Don't worry, we're only 6th level, you will have a much easier time climbing stuff like that at higher levels, heck, I was impressed that you could climb a slippery rock face at all at 6th level, I mean it was a DC 30 check, granted the DM may not have handled your character in the best way when he was telling you that you couldn't make the climb, since he really only tried to allude to the fact that it was uber difficult without actually telling you that it was nearly impossible, but at the same time his description wasn't bad either, I was able to tell from it that it would be difficult to climb, and with my 8 strength I decided the little easy spot was the best place for me to be. As for your failure, at least you tried, and it was better than getting squished along with Jason. Plus, it was what your character would try to do, staying in character is always the best course of action. So don't get discouraged, you did fine, and I don't think that he was trying to cut out the dramatic elements of the game, he may have been railroading us a bit, but not horribly, and in all fairness, that is a nearly impossible check for a 6th level character, the fact that you were able to roll a nat 20 and climb a little bit on it was impressive in itself. Not to mention that Martin rolling two nat 20's in a row right after you had said that it was possible to roll two in a row and that you needed another one to make it to the top was priceless.

Thinking about our party a little, I do think that we could have planned the group a bit better. Perhaps on our next campaign, all the players could have a session in which we all make characters that compliment each other. That way, we won't have to depend on a supporting-role character to be the tank, a bard to be the healer, or an NPC to be the leader.

Kosivo0121 wrote:

I think it is time for your character to step up and become the leader of the group. You should start to be our spokesperson, help us to strategically deploy, etc. You know that my character will completely back up whatever your orders are.

Dammit, it is time for you to become YOUR version of Jack Sparrow.

Could be worse.

When I joined my gaming group and they let me DM for the first time, I wasn't ready for their level of...skill isn't quite the right word...trickery? Cunning? Deceit? Well, they're just a pain in the ass to DM for, so my first campaign went from an airship crash to searching for a portal beneath Cthulhu's bed to takeover of the world just because I couldn't handle it all.

Luckily, I've improved greatly since then. And that was only three or four years ago.

Yeah, maybe we should just ask for a quickie reset so that we can work better together, or at least figure out what we need. Abe seemed pretty stoked about me playin a Gnoll, but I can always change if it seems like three melee characters is too much. Martin is goin psion so he will pretty much function as our caster, but I dunno how happy everyone else is with their characters. I mean I know that you have pretty much been our only offensive option so far, but it doesn't seem like you are getting into the rp a whole lot since your character is a bit of a loner, or at least very quiet, and I dunno how Amanda or Bradley feel either, guess that would really be up to you all if you want a reset, cuz Martin and I already have to make new characters, it's just that if there are any misgivings about your characters, now is the time to bring it up before we get into his "main" story line.

Dark Archive

hanDofthEwrAiTH wrote:

I thought we still had, like, four more levels or something until that happened.

I do like playing my character, but he was never meant to be the tank. He is just supporting cast. Yes, he can do some cool stuff, but there definately needs to be somebody in the party tougher than him. He is also supposed to kinda be a loner, but deep down he doesn't really want to be. But for my character concept, I probably have been talking way too much lately. If Bradley would talk a little more, I wouldn't have to.

Dark Archive

You know, DM has kinda painted himself into a corner. He has told us that the story really starts at level 10 and everything we have done so far is just build up to that. Now, if something earth shattering doesn't happen, its gonna be kinda anti-climactic. I hope he has something good planned and wasn't just saying, "Wait to see what will happen--its gonna be COOOOOL!" as a stalling tactic.

I talked to him about the game for a bit today when I was at his place to play a little guitar with him, and it seemed like he was really dissatisfied with his game and had really gotten down on himself about it. He offered a few suggestions on what he wants to do about it, and I think that he's gonna bring it up at your game tomorrow. I told him not to worry about it too much, and that the most important thing is that he has to have fun running the game too, not just that we have to enjoy it, cuz he's obviously been stressing over it. I have actually had a lot of fun at times playing in it, and he has had some really creative parts that I really liked. Really, I've just been using this board to vent my frustrations once in awhile, but they are a small part of the game, or little irony's that I find amusing (like everything being a half dragon) more than aggravating. Also some of his own stuff has been really cool, such as the dungeon underneath the castle at Nina's home town where we had multiple levels with lots of traps to navigate that could send us between levels. It was a really good puzzle type dungeon and really well thought out. I really think that he has potential as a DM and will do well with time, we all have growing pains, but we'll see. It sounds like he wants to take a little time off at least though, so I hope you have content ready for a few weeks.

The Exchange

well folks it looks like this thread may be on it's last legs

our DM say's that he needs a little time to re-approach the story and make it better to we'll probably be playing kikai13's game for a while.

oh well... i thought we were doing pretty good with the thread too, not so much with the campaign but we nearly hit 140 posts. i'll try to keep it going (the thread that is, not the campaign) but i guess we'll just have to wait and see.

So is this thread about weird campaigns? Because my first campaign was a good one... I started playing D&D when I was 12 in 2nd ed. My friend and I didn't have the monster manual, but we did have the monster compendium (2?) The one with Loxo in it. Anyways shooting from the hip, we made a good campaign world. We had a Loxo city and a human city named Loxotown and Humantown. They fought, made up, and ... intermingled... creating loxohumantown. Other ideas, were the town of Nestle, I think it had the copyright symbol next to it too, which had the big wizard guy. And his fathers tower who was a bigger wizard guy and was really based off of Elminster's Tower with the "Turn Back!" and "No Trespassing" signs out front. The main god was named Bob, he lived in the main city, he liked just messing with the PC's who were a goblin were-yak and human fighter. The goblins cohort was a three legged bunny rabbit with a vorpal(sp?) bite. Even though it was heavily influenced by Monty Python, an online creature compendium, and our own twisted 12 year old minds... I still think it was the best (as in most fun) campaign I've ever run.

Is Tekken 54 about to be released so he can get the 'inspiration' for a whole group of NPCs? Watch out for those Octorocks!

I guess you could start pointing out weird things in kikai13's game, but he might not appreciate that so much. ;D

To the contrary, I would love it if you pointed out wierdnesses in my game. I might throw in some added kookiness just to see if everyone is paying attention!

The Exchange

I could probably think up some wierd stuff about kikai13's game, you have to give me a couple of sessions though. he let me borrow the book about greyhawk and the world so i'll see if i can come up with something.

as long as you dont strap us to rocks and toss uss off of cliffs, that would suck.

Hahaha, well I dunno about weird, but the look on Kikai's face when we solved his riddle was priceless! He had a whole enormous battle planned out in an alchemical lab where the multitude of vials and alchemical substances would create random affects as we stumbled into them during the battle. However, the battle was supposed to be triggered by us failing the riddle and unleashing an owlbear. When Kikai realized that we now had all of the alchemical substances at our disposal he had a look of befuddlement that I will never forget. To his credit, he did have all of the written out just in case we got the riddle correct, but seeing his face as we spoiled his plans was priceless! Oh, and you can't forget the random lightning javelin throwing ogre who had a paladins breastplate and healing belt.

The Exchange

unfourtunatly i wasn't there for the riddle so no... i didnt see his face. any way, in a few weeks from now or mabey a few months, abe is going to be starting again, but we're going to be 6th level were we left off but were going to be at hometown again, i hope he changed enough stuff to make it awsome.

and i did some research hanDofthEwrAiTH, and i will have enough feats to get all of my stuff done for my crossbow sniper IF... the fighter gets a bonus feat at first level. do they? I dont have my PHB because either you or martin has it so i can't check, and i dont remember.

Dark Archive

After a near TPK in my campaign by a very mean-spirited Spirit of the Wild (that DR 10 / cold iron is a killer!), my campaign might have to take up the spot over here.

This is the story of a group of siblings: at one time they were all human. Now they are one human, one dwarf, one elf, and one troglodyte. Thanks, reincarnation! How the heck are we going to get that trog back into the city of Greyhawk?

Uh huh, uh huh, I see I see, yes, it all makes sense now.... just one thing.... why haven't you put up our deaths on the DM kill board yet? Hmmmmm? OH, and sorry for writing another friggin book on the other thread, one of these days I'll keep it short and concise...... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I saw Kikai and Primadonna posted on another thread about creating our adventuring party together and kinda having a cram session to get everything worked out backstory wise and all. Since, it is for this campaign I thought I would throw this up here. Does anyone want to meet early before Kikai's game on Thursday to do this, or try and get together some other time? I think that having an adventuring company would be cool, Martin and I had been planning on having a mercenary unit that he was the leader of, but that could easily be amended. Any day this week works fine for me so just let me know. And I would be happy to help out with your character Primadonna, I'll be over on Wednesday to play around on the guitar with your husband so then would work well if you would like. :)

I will try to be there early on Thursday if I can, but don't hold me to any specific time.

For the fans of this thread: our DM has decided to re-start this campaign, with brand new 6th level characters, after he has had some time to do a little tweaking. Game to resume in about four weeks--we'll keep you posted.
