I wonder if the similarity between these two songs (and, to an extent, videos) is intentional...

Spoiler:
Yes, the Rollins video was supposed to be tongue-in-cheek.

Got to see MuteMath and Jaymes Reunion in concert. I felt really bad for Jaymes Reunion--they were on first, and about 99% of the crowd just wanted them to leave, even though they did an amazing job. MuteMath was amazing as well, and did some incredible stunts during the songs (for example, Paul Meany playing the keyboard while standing on his head, as well as all four members of the band playing drums on the same drumkit simultaneously). I just wish their songs consisted of a beginning, middle, and end, as opposed to a beginning, middle, and fifteen-minute jam session.

Silver Crusade

Chopin - the ballades, in honor of his 200th birthday.

Went to my first live music show in a looong time last night (not counting a live MST3K show and Eddie Izzard over the cold winter).

Dropkick Murphys tore up the Beaumont Club!

They brought a SoCal punk/metal band that I hadnt heard in a while Strung Out. Lots of riffage! Loved it!

And starting it off was a super-goddang-energetic band Larry and his Flask. Bass player (and horns) Jeshua Marshall was all over the place. The band put out a tremendous amount of energy.

Pretty impressive night all around!

Apparently Im getting in touch with my Irish roots, because in a couple weeks Im going to see Flogging Molly!
