Tricky--"Black Steel"
I love this, actually like it more than the original, but part of that is due to the original... possibly the finest cover ever.

"There was a table upside down with no legs and a funny coloured Pink!
There wasn't any chairs, so I sat on the edge of a sink!
I had tea in a clock and I ate a piece of green rock!
It was strange! In his house!"
"I went up to the cellar, which was on the top floor!
I went down to the attic, which was on the floor before!
I landed in the garden, how I did was a mystery to me!
It was strange! In his house!"
Which predicts the arrival of the 'I'm coming up' hitmaker several years before she was even born ZOMGZOMGZOMG.

I swear there's video of this band where the song ends in a pie fight. I think the keyboard player tries to stay straight and not join in the fight?
EDIT: Found it! All You Ever Think About is Sex

From Sparks' 80s New Wave period.
If I remember correctly, the singer and the keyboard player (the only two consistent members of the band) are brothers, and their schtick is that the singer does all sorts of wild dance moves while the keyboardist stands perfectly still and glares out at the audience over his ridiculous mustache.
