Anybody here got any game related tattoos?
a mate of mine has the Dark Angel Death wing insignia ( GW's WH40K )on his upper right arm. It's a broken sword framed with wings. He had done years ago ( early ninties ) so it's a bit faded and he's getting it "touched up" shortly.
Funnily enough most people assume it's a "biker" tatt - even funnier as my friend has never owned a bike or a license for that matter:)

I have been going back and forth about getting a small d20 behind each ear(for those who don't know much about tats that means "on the skull" behind your ears). If not, I still see a d20 in my future as I think that would be a great good luck charm. The fighter in our group is a tattoo artist in RL and when he saw the "froghemoth" from AoW he immediately wanted to work it in to my sleeve. The only spot we have left to fill is around the elbow, but I don't think I want the big frog right out there on my elbow for life. :) Someone on these boards has to have a d20 on them already!! right??!!

One of these days I'm getting a d20 on each palm, 1 up on the left, 20 on the right. Don't know whether or not I'll get the opposites on the backs to go with them, though.
Good luck finding a place that will tattoo your palms. :( Last I heard, it's illegal in most places, along with any neck & above tattoos.
Mmm...tattoos. :) Don't have any, but it's on my list of things to do.
Wolf's Head Torc Armband. Personal meaning, as I think all tattoos should have.
Lilith. In Hebrew. Still figuring out precisely how/where I want this one, as well as details of the tattoo. Probably an armband design as well.
Coolest game tattoo evar. Although it is video game-related, it's still good.

I don't think neck or hand tattoos are illegal as such, but most artists refuse to do them as they have a tendency to doom your job interviews. I considered having my arm/chest tattoo stretch up the neck and end behing the ear, but changed my mind as the artist explained just that. Good decision, I think...

I think palm tattoos ARE actually illegal because they ruin fingerprinting. But that could be an urban myth, I wouldn't know; In accordance with Leviticus 19:28 I do not have any tattoos. (Just kidding, I'm really just indecisive. And life is pain enough without paying some guy to deliberately stab me with an electric needle).
I once met a guy who had Megaman tattooed on his calf, which I guess counts as game-related.

I have a parrot tattooed on my calf, in a cartoon style. The joke was "Hey, if ya wanna see my bird I'll have to pull down my sock". God, 18 is a stoopid age. I have a dragon (self done)on my left bicep and two dragons(red and blue) intertwined in carnal bliss while hurtling towards the ground on my right bicep.
Sorta game related.... it IS Dungeons and DRAGONS.

I was on the verge of getting a tattoo that was a skull and crossbones and said "I'm a F***ING PIRATE!". But I was thankfully talked out of it. But not by my idiot friends, who were all,"Talk is cheap, dude. Just go do it. It'll be awesome."
It's funny how "friends" will be the first ones to let you do something permanently stoopid to yourself. Then they would probably give you a nickname of "James the Fu@#ing pirate" that they would use at every most inopportune time (like when flirting with a girl at the bar or something). Thats why I have very few friends. That and the gods awful smell, that's why my avatar has his arms raised. It's like an aura effect...think Trogs.

Representing with the Wastit tats me and two of my battle buddies got in EP. They're a monster from HoL, a bizzare game/spoof from Dirt Merchant Games. Basically predatory pudding bears ...
Twin Agate Dragons |
Two tattoos I am going to get; the sign of the gemini on my inside right wrist and the yeart of the dragon emblem on my inside left wrist.
There are others I'd like to get as well, 3E Realms Mystra and Shar on my upper arms, two oriental dragons in the shape of a 'W' across my back and a flaming d20 on my outer left ankle.

Pudding bears?
Anyway, this one isn't game-related, but it's all I've got.

Yeah, I highly endorse the game books as a hilarious read. Its a sci-fi game, crafted as if Kurt Vonnegut, Thomas Pynchon and Hannibal Lecter smoked a lot of meth and scribbled down their ideas in a Someville MA IHoP at 3am in the morning. They lampoon every gamer foible and munchin trait. Priceless.

A faerie of fire mourning the loss of her forbidden love, a prince of the watery depths. Romantic death scene. So... not gamer related per se, but fey are close enough, eh?
Based on a recommendation I went to an artist named Samantha Bliss. I walked in asking for a $150 tattoo based on a Romeo and Juliet/Pyramus and Thisbe derived anime from 1982 called Shiriusu no densetsu aka Sea Prince and the Fire Child. She refused to do a small $150 tattoo on my arm and then gave me all this ink for the same price. Gotta love a professional who still believes in the art of her craft with such conviction.

Only some states and counties have laws against getting tattoos on palms and above the neck, some also have laws against tattoo/piercing shops in general.
Most tattooists don't do palms or bottoms of the feet because the skin in those areas get worn down so fast the any tattoo you would get would breakup and disappear within a year or two.
Tattoos on your palm and finger tips won't mess up fingerprinting by the police unless the tattooist was really bad and scars you badly. Even then your new scared up fingerprints would be entered in your record and any further fingerprints taken will be accurate.
The physical pain of getting a tattoo is minor. The pain is like someone snapping you with a rubber band over and over again and it only hurts while you're getting one. Once the tattooist stops the tattoo will throb like a bruise for a day or two.
The only time you might dread the pain of a tattoo is if you're getting a large and detailed one that takes 6 or more hours to do or you get one on a very sensitive area.

My only tat.
That's weird. The only pic I see is the snapping turtle I took a shot of in the creek behind my house.
TriOmegaZero |
My first character was a monk using a modified spiked chain.
And I had this before that game came out.

For real? Do you not see the tat photo? If this was a joke and I missed it, I do apologize. I'm in a daze.
