Given the comments in this thread, when should I stop waiting for the AoW Hardback Compilation to be released and just buy all the back issues instead?

Well, the most recent reply in thread you linked to is from 9/11/6: "Once it's approved, it'll take close to a year to get it out on shelves (we might be able to pull it of in 9 months... MAYBE)."
I don't see any reason for that to have changed in two months, and certainly no reason for it to have changed for the better without their telling us, so if you want to run AoW within the next year, start buying magazines. If you're not planning on starting before next fall, you might want to wait a few more months.

You do realize, of course, that no Age of Worms hardcover is even being planned? Nobody (nobody who actually works for Paizo or Wizards, that is) has ever said there was even going to be a hardcover. They said they'd like there to be one, but it's never been approved. So I would suggest rather than waiting a few more years in the hope that it gets approved, you should just go ahead and get the issues. After all, they definitely exist, whereas the hardcover doesn't.

Oh please..Oh please..Oh please..Oh please..
Hardcover..Hardcover..Hardcover..
Seriously, I have all the issues and would still want to buy a hardcover compilation if it ever came out. The adventure path is that good! I know it means little in the grand scheme of marketing, but this lone purchaser gives his vote.. Here's to hope!

I second that sentiment.

I'd LOVE to do a Hardcover AoW book. But we can't start production on it without approval from Wizards of the Coast. In the meantime, issues #124–#135 continue to sell, and once they're out, they're out. Magazines don't get reprinted.
OK, let's go on a different tack. At what point are Paizo likely to stop lobbying Wizards for permission to put together the Hardcover AoW book? 'Cos if we get near that, that's when I'm heading for the Back Issue Counter

I have all the issues of the magazine, but I will not give up hope to have this gem of a campaign (bundled together with some Wormfood and Ecolgy articles) in my hands in a shiny hardcover.
