As per one of the posts above, do you think that Jane Foster's assistant (older guy and younger lady) are Hank and Janet Pym with an undercover ID?
I don't think so. I was doing the math and he's too young to really be in Captain America. And she didn't really feel 'right' for Janet. Plus wouldn't she have dropped cover when the warriors [four] were getting their heads handed to them by the Destroyer?
And did I mention just how awesome it was to see the Destroyer in the big screen?
Edit: I mean he's too young to be a character in Captain America. He might be a '1960's' Hank Pym. But that would be too much of a coincicence for me. I think he's a well connected scientist, but not Hank.

in the movie the character is named "Professor Erik Selvig" which sounds Norse a bit; furthermore, he's the character in the movie that tips Jane Foster on the whole Norse mythology.
I agree he's prob not Hank Pym. However, I have a growing suspicion that for the reasons I listed above, he's just the mortal avatar/meat suit of Loki (and through him he will come to possess the Cosmic Cube)

Is it weird I really wish Thor would get more respect to the point that he could readily kick the Hulk's face up and down the block? I don't mind a fight or anything but to think that some science experiment gone wrong (or right depending) is going to be a friggen god ... I dunno. I know it's be stated that sometimes Thor can be considered stronger but it seems like when you need the big guns, you break out The Hulk instead of a god!
Plus ... I just think Thor's cooler.

Think suggestion not Dominate or magic jar
Remember, he tried to walk out with Mjolnier, standing in plain sight, and no one noticed.

In the post-credits scene he was standing beside the professor or maybe on the other side of the mirror as it were.
Like I said, I think he might be able to influence people, not outright control them.
