I was rereading some of the recent Dragons and in Issue 318, I came across the city of Balefire. Has this city been in any other source? Thank you for your help.
Im the author of that particular article, and I haven't done anything with it since. A city like it is briefly mentioned in my Dungeon adventure "The Sinkhole" but that's about it from my end. it has been used in the new Tome of Magic book, as the authors used one of the organizations in my article as the basis for one of the power groups in the book. The city is also mentioned, as is Nightcrawler Canyon (though they renamed it Nightcrawler Chasm for some reason).
