I, too, wish to thank you for all your hard work. I have enjoyed Dungeon and Dragon for seven years now and am most sorry to see them go.

Where do we have further information on the Infamous Seven on the Isle of Dread?

Baaragrauth

Burbalarg

Cerattakatha

Chakaranka

Emraag
Details on Emraag can be found in The Lightless Depths (Dungeon 144, 34)

Temauhti-tecuani
Temauhti-tecuani is detailed in Tides of Dread (Dungeon 143, 46)

Xiureksor

Have I missed any of the other Infamous Seven?

Now, aging and learning. Is a dog retarded since it can't speak? Is a gorilla an idiot because it can't drive a car? No, it's a racial limit on their mental abilities. Elves develop slowly. This is the same thing, a racial trait. An elf might act like and eight year old for a decade. Why is this a problem? Why is this considered retardation? Is it something other races, like humans, would laugh about and chide them over? Yes, but the elves would most likely take this in stride since humans are whacko anyway, and if they want, the elf can be at their harasser's grand-child's grand-child's funeral and laugh all he wants.

You are comparing two different things. Animals not being able to speak has nothing to do with the animal's rate of development. It is a limit on the animals ability. Since retarded means slowed, delayed, or impeded. Compared to a human, yes an elf's development is retarded. Retardation has to do with the rate rather than the maximum.

I was rereading some of the recent Dragons and in Issue 318, I came across the city of Balefire. Has this city been in any other source? Thank you for your help.

#3: "Fane of Scales" striking the earth. Was this the Epic Level Adventure?
Matt

The Fane of Scales was in the January 2004 Issue (106). The adventure was titled The Black Egg for 12th-level characters.

I use the article, Guild Secrets: Using and Designing Guilds, Secret Societies, and Cults from Dragon 296 a great deal of the time. It is very useful in helping to build societies in my campaign.

Although I am relatively new to Dungeon, I do not like Wil Save either. The first column was not so bad, so I thought that we ought to give Mr. Wheaton a chance. I have read five of the columns, and each one, in my opinion, was worse than the prior. While something different on the last page might increase sales, I should like the article to give me some form of enjoyment, which Wil Save is decreasingly doing.
