D8... seriously, spell it that way too. Our cat is named 6e after the cat 6e ethernet cable. The vet just laughed... using numbers in names turns heads and is easily remembered.
That's awesome...only a gamer and a technogeek would name their pets after networking cabling and dice. I may have to name my next pet in the same fashion...
But I named my pet after a muffin (Spunkmeyer, in case anyone's curious). Spunky for short. Yep...good name, that....
Spunkmeyer practices a form of martial arts called Spunk-fu - he sits on his hind legs and proceeds to smack his little sister around ("Wee One"...we're convinced Spunky beat the growth out of her).

All of my herps are named after dragons from Forgotten Realms novels:
Mergandevinisander (Merg) Salvatore's Sojourn
Arameg (GamerA spelled backward?) Lowder's Ring of Winter
Curaigh Turcai (Turc) the gaelic translation of the 'untranslatable-in-the-human-tongue' Dragonbait Grubb and Novak's Azure Bonds And yes they are names that get remembered O:)

Cool! My female pit named "6" is always called "sixee(6e)" and other variations of the word..er..number..
Let's hope she doesn't crush little Meepo as "six" weighs 120lbs. and is grossly overweight for a pit :( I named her after the girl "six" on that old show "blossom" and I also thought it would be funny to hear my mom and other relatives shouting 6.....6....6....at random in the neighborhood.
