Alice Cooper in Dungeon!

Dungeon Magazine General Discussion

I was looking through some issues of Dungeon recently, and noticed that "The Last Hunt" (from issue 94, which was wrongly labelled 92) has a Lawful Good aristocrat called (Lord) Vincent Fernier. I'm sure that's Alice's real name.
I wonder if other musicians or real people's names have appeared in Dungeon?

Actually, it's Vincent Furnier, according to Allmusic. Alice Cooper was the 17th century witch the band communed with via Ouija. I still have a copy of ythe old 70s Marvel Premiere that featured an "Alice Cooper" adventure. Something about rescuing a snake from an insane asylum.

Nice! I thought I was the only one that actually cared enough to own that comic. Nurse Rozetta even makes an appearance. Alice has "retold" the seance story many times in his career, but the version he gave to Geraldo Rivera is my favorite variation of all time.

edit: is the Marvel Premier a short story? I have the full length marvel Alice comic.

Marvel Premiere was a title that showed limited series and one shots that they presented for various reasons. The Alice Cooper comic was a humorous version of Alice/Vincent's brief stay in a mental institution when he had a minor breakdown and felt he needed a rest. Due to a miscommunication, he ended up spending some time in a ward that housed people with much more serious conditions, and he found it a bit traumatic, not the least of which was the fact that he felt that the difference between staff and patient wasn't as clear as he wanted it to be.

He wrote a suite of songs about the instance, and released the album 'from the inside' with these songs and themes. The comic tied into the song.

This is the story that was released at the time. If this was a press release to make the album seem more viable or if this is complete truth....well, that is something that has blurred a bit over the years, and i think Alice himself may be one of the few who knows for certain
