Has anyone thought of using Ghostwalk?

Shackled City Adventure Path

Just curious here on this. I picked up SCAP, finished reading it, and was struck by the estimated difficulty I saw throughout the Adventure Path.

Has anyone used ideas from Ghostwalk as a way to help lessen that (i.e. allowing dead PCs to continue adventuring as ghosts until enough gold could be raised to bring the character back to life)?

Any thoughts on this matter would be appreciated.

Don't know if Ghostwalk is very much used since his release, I don't have it and you can end with more ghost than living character in the SCAP.
It's a good point however.

I've been considering using Ghostwalk myself. I consider it a side-effect of the Tree of Caged Souls. Basically, as the artifact 'powers up', it will basically act as a gravity sink, and the souls of the dead will not be allowed to leave Cauldron.

What do you think?

Liberty's Edge

It could be interesting to use Ghostwalk and Magic of Incarnum in a SCAP campaign....would be ....INTERESTING to say the least....lol.

Hmm. Well, that would be a great reason to explain a "Forced Manifestation" for the newly-"ghosted" PC, but I'd worry about having too many NPC Ghosts walking around, especially after the Foundations of Flame adventure. I think that would change the "face/feel" of SCAP too much, at least for my game.
