Knowledge check to ID Brown Mold?

Age of Worms Adventure Path

I fear that he Brown Mold encounter in the Lair of the Architect could be devastating to my party. I want to allow a Knowledge roll to identify the mold, but I'm unsure as to wether to make it Dungeoneering or Nature. Thoughts?

Why choose? How about either? You can skew the information that you feed to the PC based on whether it's from Dungeoneering or Nature...

I was very verbose in my description of the dramatic temperature drop. Describing the orange vomit material with brown hair growing on it that smells strangely of chicken was enough to give the party pause...initially. Later boredom of one PC while the Nadroc's room was checked resulted in close-shave. While that PC suffered the shivers/chatters, the dwarf PC was allowed a general INT check at a DC of 17 to remember his "Molds/Oozes/Jellies" education as a lad at Greysmere. I'd expect a Know (Dungeoneering) to do the trick at a DC of 10 though (Nature) works too if the PC has a reasonable reason to know about molds. Otherwise, I'd notch the DC higher (15). The dwarf's solution for the endothermic effects of the mold was to go back outside and gather eight sacks of snow (benefit of starting the game in Fireseek). I thought that was fairly clever way of reproducing a ray of frost effect and it did the trick.

Knowledge Dungeoneering

DC 12 to ID it as Brown mold
DC 15 to know the danger it presents (heat is bad)
DC 20 to know how to kill it (cold is good)
