Old gun article in dragon?

Dragon Magazine General Discussion

I vaguely remember in an old dragon issue an article about introducing primitive guns into a campaign. Been going through my old magazines looking for it. But as you can imagine its a daunting task. Does anyone happen to remember any gun articles? In particular the actual article title or a dragon mag number?

Thanks.

Dragon 321 had "The Way of the Gun" and Dragon d20 Special had Firearms of Freeport. Both were good if you're looking to add firearms to your fantasy.

The DMG also has a section on firearms, too.

Liberty's Edge

"Sixguns and Sesheyans" by Rich Baker issue #249 page 54 for Alternity.

"Armed & Dangerous" by Bruce R. Cordell issue #259 page 96 for Alternity.

"Arms Race" by Owen K.C. Stephens issue #273 page 103 for Alternity

"Pull the Pin and Throw" by Kevin Marzahl issue #111 page 66 for Top Secret

"Swashbucklers" by Travis Stout issue #301 page 38 for D&D 3.0

"Way of the Gun, The" by Michael Shortt issue #321 page 38 for D&D 3.0

If none of those are the one you're looking for, I'll try to find some more.

"A Second Volley" by Ed Greenwood in #70

"Firearms" in #60 I believe that's the one you're looking for, because it discusses the first generation firearms, such has the "handgun," which was essentially a smooth barrel with a hole cut in it for ignition with an open flame.

i can only moderately stand guns in D&D
in some games, yeah, it would be cool to do a The Good, the Bad, the Ugly-like story, but i don't get that excited by guns often.

You just gave me an idea for an adventure in Lantan.
