Message Board Usage Question

How do people get only a portion of a previous message in grey in their post? I only seem to get the whole message in grey or nothing.

When you click "reply" the text you're quoting appears in the text box you type your message in -- just delete the bits in between the {QUOTE} and {/QUOTE} tags that you don't want.
