That would be a really cool article. We will be doing a series on the core pantheon, and I would like to extend the series to include members of the "extended" pantheon with strong pedigree (Tharizdun, Iuz, Rao, Pholtus, and perhaps Stern Alia and Stratis), but I don't think I can get the gears moving on a Tharizdun article by then, as I wouldn't want to launch the series with a god who has appeared rarely in 3e outside of "Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil."
A Tharizdun article would be great, and it will happen eventually. The novelty of the 333 tie is really smart, but I suspect the final article will stand up without it. :)

I thought I would point out that Tharizdun has been featured in a number of 3.x Dungeon adventures. The one that stands out in my mind is issue #87 "I'm Carrying Tharizdun's Love Child". He also is dealt with in the D&D module "The Speaker in Dreams", part of the line beginning with Sunless Citadel.
So, I would say he should certainly be considered. He is also mentioned in the Book of Vile Deeds (mature content, I know). Can't remember about Deities & Demigods. I could check.... Another time.

Awww, come on! When will you ever have another opportunity for this again?! Personally, I think kicking off the Greyhawk Pantheon series with Tharizdun in Dragon #333 would be a fun thing to do. Even a one-page article with a new monster or something would be worth it.

I must say, you finding Tharizdun something so small in passing is mind blowing. Dragon issue 300 was no small issue, in fact Dragon made a big deal about it. How about Dungeon issue 100?
Tharizdun marks 2 spots in your top 30 adventures in Dungeon issue 116. There is a column in every issue of Dragon that you can do what you wish with I would think, it is called "From the Editor", perhaps you have heard of it. Why not take a moment and explain the novelty of 333 or something else.

I had the pleasure of running "I'm Carrying Tharizdun's Love Child" in a Silver Marches campaign I ran a year or so again it is one of dungeon magazines best adventures in recent years, with a spectacular ending. In my game the CG priestess of Selune ran right up to the alter and thrust her dagger into the babies chest to prevent Tharizdun from gaining the opportunity to make an appearance in the realms. The entire party was shocked both by the action, the incestuous union, and disassociation between the family members involved. I and my players loved it.

I read an article from a few years ago that detailed Tharizdun. It was great that someone had the BRASS and went down to the black cyst to ask him for his stats... however, I think Tharizdun was being modest. Will you publish more gods and EPIC heroes, say Vainamoinen & the Finnish pantheon or even the Celts (pls don't water them down, I mean if people can believe the FR mortal character levels). I don't want to make it an arms race, but those guys must be on the D&D juice! - btw, thanks Erik for the great work! ;)
