Welcome guests, the Count is waiting for you with eager... or thirst?
The vampire castle is an ancient building that sits upon a gloomy rocky stake. An old gatehouse stands before the entrance. A tall stone wall surrounds the whole castle and many towers connected through walkways seem to be randomly distributed on the ground inside. Opposite the gatehouse, there is a splendid overlook, which allows guests to admire the whole landscape surrounding the castle. Inside, the castle is a true labyrinth, featuring more than 120 rooms! There are eight levels including the crypts beneath.
This castle is perfect for horror-based adventures as well as for any adventure that includes a manor or a castle. This blueprint is special, featuring 10 maps (for the same price!). The castle structure is so complex that the staircases that connect the various levels have been labeled with letters; same letter means same staircase. If a staircase appears on a level but there is no letter, it means that staircase do not have an exit on that level.
Some hints to use the Vampire Castle follow:
- "I am Ancient, I am the Land": you can play your favorite vampire chase here. The count hides in the rooms of his castle and the PC must find and destroy him. Not an easy task, though.
- A vampire has begun to terrorize the land after centuries of silence. Corpses of bloodless people are found each day. The PC must set to the castle and destroy the monster. The truth is that a sly bandit has made his hideout in the castle and kills people draining their blood in order to keep intruders at bay.
- The PCs take shelter in the castle in order to avoid an incoming snowstorm. The count welcomes them and asks, in return for his hospitality, a task: they must bring a coffin with one of his parents in a great city... The count has been abandoned by his servants and wants to set a new base of operations in a great city. If the PCs do so, they should return to the castle and meet its challenges to find an ancient artifact to destroy the monster.

Welcome to your favorite base of operations: the Citadel. This small citadel is a perfect headquarters for your party; also, within its walls, it may offer many opportunities to adventures who take home here.
The citadel flanks a river (or sea) and features a small port. Two gates lead the travelers into the walls of the citadel. Inside the citadel, you can found everything a small community needs: stables, forges, inns, a large temple area, a lord's house, gardens, wells and more.
The citadel could be the keep of a larger city surrounding it or simply a small town, perhaps an extension of the lord's keep. The citadel features two levels (ground level and first level) and a roof level is also provided. Below the ground level, you can found a cavern complex that links with the manor's dungeons and a small sewer system.
Please note the citadel is very large so the grid square should measure 20 feet.
Some hints to use the Citadel follow:
- Upon the party arrival at the citadel some mysterious murders begin to happen. One of the PCs was spotted on the murder place and the entire party is caged in the dungeon. The PCs must escape and found the true assassin to prove their innocence.
- A gang of smugglers use the caverns north of the citadel as base for their illegal activities. The lord is too weak to fight them and asks the party to deal with the bandits.
- A band of thieves visit regularly all the rich merchant's houses, leaving no traces or signs. The merchants offer a reward to the group who will capture the thieves and retrieve their wealth.
- During the night Kuo-Toas emerge from the murky river water; they seek something in the temple of the citadel, something was stolen from them centuries ago. The local cleric hides a terrible secret linked to this item. The party is hired to protect the item.

The Vale of the Mages houses four wizard's towers. A river forms a "Y" through the vale's cliffs and woods. The first tower is a classic old and cozy round wizard tower; a small three-storey building constructed with smooth river rocks. The tower features all the necessary for a wizard and an apprentice; a small laboratory, a kitchen, and bedrooms. The second one is a larger square tower, it's perhaps a tower built to house more than one apprentice and for a more ambitious sorcerer. The third one is the largest tower of the vale; perhaps it is an archmage's tower. It features a large garden surrounding the main building, stables, a small dungeon and a central six-levels tower. The last tower is a ruined one; few things remains of this ancient round tower, but adventurers will find for sure something for them!
You can use the vale as it is, with all the four towers together or use each tower singularly, as best fit in your ongoing campaign. Some hints to use the vale follow:
- The four wizards dwelling in the vale are battling each other from centuries for a magic items buried somewhere in the vale, they eventually slew one of them blasting his tower with fiery magic; the PCs enter the vale and meet the ghost of the dead wizard who has discovered the magic items and asks to the PCs to retrieve the item in order to prevent the other wizards from finding it.
- The PCs receive a letter for an old friend wizard inviting them in the vale. When arrive they find the tower destroyed and their friend dead. The last annotation in the old wizard journal says one of the wizards dwelling in the vale was arriving in visit. The PCs must find their friend's murderer.
- Four wizards were researching a powerful magical item for their king, but from weeks, nobody receives news from the vale. The PCs are sent to investigate; once in the vale, they find the towers empty, and one of them destroyed.

Welcome to the Way Inn, travelers! Let the inn's renowned stew satisfy your hunger and its red-ruby wine quench your thirst. If your horse needs iron for its hooves, you can go straight to the smith and to the stables. Instead if you need equipment head to the emporium, just right to the inn. For any trouble you can meet in this place, you can knock at the door of the guardpost where some guards will hear you. The Way Inn is a small complex rose around a major caravan route; it includes a very large inn, which can house dozens of travelers, a well-furnished emporium, a smith and stables, a guardpost and a large square to accommodate the caravans for the night. The Way Inn could be the backstage for many adventures, here are some hints to use the Way Inn:
- While resting in a room of the inn the PCs hear a bustling sound downstairs; a high elf ambassador is complaining loudly with the owner of the inn. The following morning the owner is found dead and the ambassador disappeared, only a strange, shining object shaped like a small bear is found on the murder place.
- The PC arrive at the Way Inn and found all the guards and the other inhabitants of the Inn besieging the smith, calling him monster and aberration and asking for his immediate death. The smith is barred inside his shop and menacing all of the people with his heavy crossbow. Actually all the inhabitants of the way inn have been infected with werewolf disease, except for the smith. If the PCs help the watchmen to capture the smith they will be rewarded during the night which will be, of course, a full moon night.
- When the PCs arrive at the inn escorting a caravan they find, in the middle of the caravans' square, a gigantic troll who is challenging a stout, bearded, woodcutter. Many people, including other escorts, are betting upon the fight. In the meantime a band of thieves, obviously allied with the troll, are stealing goods from the caravansE

0one's Blueprints: Dwarven Stronghold PDF

"We must cross the mountain!" cried the fighter.
"We must go through the dwarven stronghold in the belly of the mountain," stated the old wizard firmly. "We have no choice."
The dwarven stronghold is a multi-level fortified dungeon. It was undoubtedly built to defend one side of the mountain; the other side faces friendly people and has no need of strong defenses. The dwarven engineers built the stronghold near a subterranean river in order to exploit the power of water to build a dwarven wonder: a raising underwater bridge. The bridge is the major defense of the west side of the stronghold. The entire bridge, due to a gigantic dam-like device, can disappear under the waves of a mountain lake, thus preventing access to the main portal of the stronghold. Should enemies manage to get through the portal, they would find a formidable line of defense made of ballistae, murder holes, arrowslits and stone guardians.
The stronghold consists of five levels interconnected by a number of heavily guarded staircases. Each level has its own purpose: Level 0 houses soldiers and jails, as well as forges and shrines. Level 1 houses more soldiers (these two levels are self-sufficient, including kitchens and larders). Level 2 is dedicated to the nobles, with great halls of statues, an arena and nobles' quarters. Level 3, the topmost one, is the main temple area complete with crypts for the dwarven heroes. The last level (-1) is the dam level. The dwarven engineers work and maintain their devices here; the bridge control room is also here.
Some hints to use the stronghold follow:
- The adventurers must cross the mountain. The sole way is through the friendly stronghold of the dwarves. Unfortunately the stronghold has fallen into the hands of orcs and the PCs will have to run through the fortress avoiding warbands of bloodthirsty orcs.
- The PCs are crossing the stronghold, and must exit from the west side, but something terrible has happened: an unnamed evil has risen from the depths of the underground river, killing everything at the dam level. The dwarves are frightened and will not dare to descend below. The PCs must descend and find out what has happened while trying to operate the bridge device in order to exit from the stronghold.
- The PCs believe they are honored guests of the dwarven commander in the stronghold; the dwarves set up a feast for them. Actually, a vampire lord took residence in the stronghold more than a year ago and he is now lacking food, having infected the entire dwarven garrison. Therefore, the PCs are for dinner!

"The old guy said the village was here!" cried the fighter glancing in the woods around him. "So where in the hell is the damn village?". "We absolutely need a cleric for our wounded companion" shouted the wizard.
The ranger stared toward the sky and smiledE
The treetop village is suspended between huge trees. Many crawlways link various buildings of the village, snaking around the branches and spiraling around the gigantic plants. Some well-hidden stairs lead to the village and an elevator provides a more comfortable way to climb up. The village has everything it needs: a villa, a meeting hall, a council hall, a great inn with detached bedrooms and some shops.
Some hints to use the village follow:
- The adventurers are walking in the wood when a couple of arrows drop over them. The arrows bear a distinctive mark. The PCs discover the village over their heads and climb up to investigate. The treetop village dwellers are elves and the PCs discover that the arrows belong to the son of the elf king who was spending the night at the village. The young elf claim his innocence but all seems against himE.
- The PCs stumble into the treetop village and spend the night at the inn. During the night an elf PC (or NPC) disappears. If the PCs investigate, they find that during the last month 30 elves disappeared. A doppelganger took the identity of the innkeeper and, using some drugs, he sells elves to the drow who dwell in the underground near the village.
- A small community of men and elves have built the treetop village in order to defend themselves from the orcs and other monsters. Suddenly, while the PCs are visiting the village, the druid discovers that the huge trees are dying. An unknown plant disease is found within each of the village's trees. The PCs must unmask the orc shaman, polymorphed and disguised as good druid who pretends to "heal" the plants with his magic.

0one's Blueprints: Cairns PDF

Our Price:
$1.65

Built under mounds of stone, these ancient structures stand as memorial or burial grounds for great kings, emperors or legendary warriors of the past. Perhaps the cairn is the most fascinating fantasy location ever, and certainly it is the most played in fantasy RPGs. Traditionally, cairns are filled with
precious treasures, ancient belongings of defunct heroes and, of course, sleepless monsters. Undead roam the silent underhalls and guard the forgotten crypts, waiting eagerly for some fools who dare to descend in the darkness of their domains. In this product, you will find five different cairns you can use in your adventures. The cairns may be used individually or as part of a greater complex
Here are some adventure hooks:
Round Cairn: While in another dungeon, the PCs find themselves transported to this cairn, appearing on one of the Gate Rooms. The gates of the cairn begin to produce monsters at constant rate, and the PCs must find a way out before being overwhelmed. Perhaps the key for opening the entrance portal lies in the central room, but some riddles must be overcome as well.
Emperor's Cairn: The good emperor has lain in his death slumber for a thousand years. It is said he was put to sleep by magic for an unknown reason. Now, a young scholar has found the key to awaken the man and bring a good ruler to the world. The forces of evil will try to destroy the remains of the king by awakening dreaded undead from their graves in the cairn. The PCs are hired to retrieve the remains of the emperor and perform the ritual to awaken him but they must confront the undead rising into the tomb.
King's Cairn: The PCs are searching for the crown of an ancient king in the cairn. They find it in the sepulcher, but if worn, the crown turns the PC into a powerful lich, who awakens all the undead in the cairn. The only way for the PCs to escape is to spark the loyalty in the undead that had been the King's Guard and persuade them to fight for their king.
Ruined Cairn: The PCs venture into a ruined cairn, which is infested by goblins. They discover ancient memorials of a vanished race. When they arrive to battle with the goblin leader, they discover he is a strange crossbreed. The PCs will be able to defeat him only if they have gathered enough clues from the ancient cairn.
Multilevel Cairn: A strange spell has been cast on this cairn: it influences the alignment of the undead who guard the ancient treasures. The PCs are caught in a war erupting in the cairn. The key is an evil necromancer who seeks a lost artifact kept in the cairn and who found an unusual way to destroy the guarding undead.

$1.65

Towering, gloomy and impressive, the orc fortress stands on top of a bare
rocky platform. A sloped ramp connects the gateway of the fortress. Orc kings
and shamans of the past built the fortress over a conquered dwarven
settlement. Nothing remains of the settlement but the crypt level, far
beneath the ground. The orc fortress consists of three levels plus two
underground levels. The ground level hosts barracks and troop lodgings as
well as a defensive system made of arrow slits and other devices. Two
sturdy portcullises protect the main courtyard. On level one, more barracks
are found and a great number of catapults defend the fortress from all sides.
Level two houses the warlord's apartments and a great balcony overlooking
the entire area. Below the ground level, there is the temple area. The Temple
of the Eye dominates the area and the clerics' lodgings surround the temple.
A secret way connects this level with an underground cavern
complex. Deeper is found the old dwarven crypt complex, now converted to
orcs' crypts.
Some suggestions for using the fortress follow.
- A princess has been kidnapped by an orc warlord and taken to the
fortress. The PCs are charged with the duty to rescue her. An old shaman
shows the party a secret entrance below the fortress.
- An army of the good has besieged the fortress for months. The war is at a
stalemate. In order to solve the problem, the commander of the good army
sends the PCs through a secret passage underground with orders to kill
the orc warlord. The PCs are betrayed and captured, and the army of good
is blackmailed with the PCs lives. The PCs must flee and perhaps kill the warlord.
- The fortress has been abandoned for centuries, after falling under the armies of
good. The PCs find shelter in the fortress during a stormy night. The fortress
is cursed and shifts into a demiplane where the ghosts of the orcs fight their last
battle forever. The PCs must find a way to exit the demiplane.
- The PCs are captured and taken to the fortress. While inside, they learn about a
wicked orc shaman who plans to extend the orcs' domain over the
surrounding regions using a powerful magic device. The PCs must find and
destroy the device.

0one's Blueprints: Hamlet of Wodfeld PDF
0one Games
Our Price:
$1.65

The hamlet of Wodfeld is a rural settlement that rises near a river. The village is surrounded by wood and is linked to the rest of the world by a main road. Wodfeld is small but has everything a good group of adventures may need: a general store, a blacksmith, an inn, a very small temple, a watermill and a cemetery plus some farm houses. Wodfeld is the perfect place to restart a campaign and the best place to put on the adventurers' path.
Some hints to use the hamlet follows:
- The PCs arrive in Wodfeld, where weird things are happening. They witness sand and stones falling from the sky, accompanied by a mild earthquake. The local druid claims it is the work of Mother Nature, who wants the loggers gone. The PCs are asked to investigate the disappearance of two lumberjacks... (This hook leads to the Earth Unleashed adventure, set in Wodfeld.)
- A vampire plagues the hamlet of Wodfeld. During the night, the inhabitants of Wodfeld bar their doors and windows. The PCs are hired to hunt down the monster. The vampire was, in life, a ranger; he is very sly and leaves false traces leading to the nearby wood, toward many monsters' lairs. The vampire sleeps in the cemetery in a tomb that bears no name.
- A group of bandits harass the hamlet of Wodfeld. They make raids and plunder at least every 15 days. One of the villagers, tired of this harassment, leaves the hamlet for a distant and ancient temple, asking the solitary god to help him. The god gave the villager the power to defeat the bandits: a shapechanging amulet that would turn him into a fierce beast, but unfortunately the beast is utterly evil. The man returns to the hamlet and arrives just as the PCs and the bandits enter the hamlet...
- While resting in the hamlet, the PCs witness a kidnapping: a dark, looming figure snatches a child and flies away. The villagers refuse to speak about the fact and ignore it completely. A dark cult, with members among the most prominent villagers, makes human sacrifices to a dark deity. The cult hideout is found in forgotten catacombs below the House of Prayers.

The City of the Black Sun is one of the oldest cities in the known world; it is a fortified city that stands in a semi-desert area of a violent and dangerous world.
Its history is thousands of years old and incredible secrets are hidden within its walls.
The city, which stands adjacent to a great river, is divided into districts each identified by an animal. The districts are bounded by the network of elevated aqueducts that distributes water to all places in the city, water that is completely controlled by the Lion-King who thus holds all the city's inhabitants in his grip.
The city is ruled by the Lion-King, a ruthless and cruel monarch who many believe is the personification of Roarrkush, the god who has the appearance of a winged lion made all of fire. In fact, the Lion-King has ruled the city for more than 3,000 years and is therefore believed to be immortal.
Immediately behind it is visible "The Black Sun" the geodesic dome of luminescent black crystal that covers the mysterious device that purifies the water of the Red River.
A very peculiar city but, at the same time very flexible
The City of the Black Sun is a city with a strong personality and many peculiarities but can be very easily adapted for any kind of fantasy setting. The Ziggurat can become the king's palace and the Black Sun can become a simple system to supply water to the city.

0one's Blueprints: Caverns of Chaos PDF

Return to the most famous cave complex in RPG history!
Caverns of Chaos is an expanded version of the dungeon where many of us cut our teeth in the early days of Dungeons & Dragons. The Caverns of Chaos contain 19 different dungeons divided into six sheets. These maps can be used individually, or assembled to form a huge 25.5x22-inch map. Each sheet contains one or more dungeons which can extend to other dungeons and to other sheets (secret doors divide the dungeons, so it’s up to you to decide if these doors exist in your world or not).
Some hints for adventuring in the dungeon follow:
- A. Den of Kobolds: A dangerous tribe of kobolds is said to dwell in these caves. It is rumored that the kobolds worship some sort of monster hiding in a pool of murky water within their caves.
- B. Abandoned Tomb: This is an undead-infested old tomb. It is said that a strange water-driven mechanism is the sole way to open the ancient sarcophagus in the tomb.
- C. Troll’s Lair: A fierce couple of trolls dwell in this dungeon. Adventurers report that the trolls have found some magical item that made them smarter than usual. Other magical items might be found in the dangerous caves.
- D. Ogre’s Lair: A single old-looking ogre lives in this small dungeon. People report he’s not hostile, and will provide helpful information about the caverns.
- E. Goblin’s Lair: Dangerous goblins calling themselves “the cracked skull tribe” dwell in these caverns. They are well-organized and always on guard.
- F. Hobgoblin’s Caves: This large complex houses a powerful hobgoblin clan. It’s rumored that their leader, a muscled white-haired hobgoblin, draws his power from a mysterious giant statue found in their caverns.
- G. Stalactites Caves: These caves are mostly empty, but an old adventurer swore to have seen a stalactite encrusted by precious gemstones protected by a huge serpent with a woman’s head.
- H. Lair of the Summoner: It is said that these caves are home of Umanus, an old wizard who turned to evil and found refuge in the caverns when the people of the keep banished him. Rumors report that the evil mage has gathered (or summoned) many monsters that now dwell with him.
- The product contains the complete list from A to U!

0one's Blueprints: Shrine of the Frogmen PDF

People whisper their names and fear their kind. These monsters dwell in the depth of the earth within murky and muddy caves and worship a deity with an unspeakable name; they are the frogmen, or the “ones who dwell deep.” Will your adventurers dare to take a journey to reach the frogmen fortress and punish them for the evil they brought upon the surface world?
Shrine of the Frogmen is a large underground complex inhabited by strange and mysterious beings said to be half men and half frogs. This large complex is situated deep beneath the surface of the earth and features three known levels. The complex is a nightmare for those who want conquer it.
Note that two of the maps of this product are double maps, divided into west and east sections. The numeric progression belongs to the two joined maps of each level.
Level 0 is where the common frogmen live along with their king and their priests. Many pools for breeding and living are scattered on this level, along with more common sleeping rooms and common rooms. Also, the king's seraglio and royal guard are found here. The dread shrine to the frogmen deity occupies a central position in this level and it is probably the first thing an adventurer will see upon arriving in this place. A great corridor runs all around the complex, like a ring. This corridor is actually the main defense system of the whole complex, since it has twice the height of the other rooms and, on the highest part of it, rows of deadly arrowslits are set.
Level 1 is where the main armed force of the frogmen is detached. They have the duty to defend the lower and upper levels of the complex. Arrowslits corridors allow the guards to fire deadly missiles over unaware intruders walking around the corridors of the lower level. The arrowslits corridors are flanked by dozens of armories containing every sort of missile weapon. Nearby storage rooms host peach and other throw-down materials that can be used when in need. Furthermore, murder holes are scattered everywhere on this level allowing defenders to fire into any room and corridor below.
Level 3 is the uppermost level. This was the first dwelling of the frogmen, now abandoned. Mostly a cave complex, this level has become the home of all sorts of underground predators. In a large cavern you can find a pit overlooking the very shrine of the frogmen, although it is nearly 300 feet down. A small outpost of the frogmen guards this area, reachable through a spiral staircase which crawls from level 1 below.

0one's Blueprints: Church on Skull Hill PDF

Our Price:
$1.95

In a desolate region, avoided by most of the people, lies the Skull Hill, a place said to be haunted. On top of the hill, shaped like a human skull, lies a crumbling desecrated church. The place is eerie and gloom, and the cemetery surrounding the church makes the place even scarier. The eye sockets and the nose of the Skull Hill are actually entrances of caverns that lie beneath the hill. East of the hill, a farm abandoned by a daring man who tried to live in that haunted place crumbles into ruin.
The Church: The church lies in ruin, but most of its furniture is still present among the fallen walls. A great main hall, flanked by shrines, leads to a blood-covered altar before a great statue of an unknown hellish creature. East and west, two alcoves show the shattered remains of two more dark statues. Beyond the altar, two rooms seem to have hosted living beings recently. In the westernmost one, the remains of a camp can be found, while in the easternmost a complete study has been built. Two spiral staircases lead to a balcony overlooking the entire church. From the balcony, one can look outside the church through the shattered gothic windows.
The Catacombs: Beneath the church lie the catacombs—a dark, damp corridor littered with smashed and shattered coffins, hiding the remains of unknown people. Bones and bricks litter the floor of the catacombs, as they have been plundered many times. A crumbled wall connects the catacombs to the goblin caves beneath the hill. The main crypt of the catacombs lies untouched, protected by secret doors and undead guardians. The crypt is said to hold the remains of a high priest.
The Abandoned Farm: Someone, in the recent past, dared to live in this dread place. He or she didn’t last long, because the farm now crumbles in ruin. An old well can be found within a fallen fence surrounding the farm. Shattered furniture can be found everywhere in the house, but no personal effects are visible. Through a trapdoor in the stable’s floor, the cellar can be reached. The big cellar’s ceiling is sustained by two rows of sturdy pillars. A secret door leads to a mysterious hidden section of the cellar. The purpose of this section is unknown. The bottom of the well can be reached through a trapped corridor and beyond a cave of stalactites, the goblins' caves can be found.

0one's Blueprints: Town of Fourwell (d20) PDF

Our Price:
$1.95

Fourwell is a small town of a thousand inhabitants situated in an area of vast grassy plains. The land is rich and fertile, and the area’s wealth lies in agriculture. Though the area features no large lakes or major rivers, rainfall and underground water are abundant. The northern part of the territory rises to low hills, while the south turns to sparse forest. The town and its inhabitants are fully described in the adventure module The House Under the Hill.
This Blueprint presents five maps:
- Town of Fourwell: an overview map
- Magic Guild: The Magic Guild is situated in the southwest corner of Fourwell. The guild’s seat is a large longhouse whose trees were felled in the nearby woods a century ago. In the years since, the building has been reinforced with wall of stone and wall of iron spells from the scroll collection of guildmaster Nyrd.
- Twin’s Theatre: This building featuring a large open-space area, provides common citizens and merchants alike with excitement and entertainment. It is run by the gnome twins Flix and Trist Paddler (both CN male gnome bard 1). Flix is a jovial fellow always ready to play comedies or exciting but trivial plays. By contrast, Trist is often sad and worried, and prefers tragedies and plays of great intellectual value (but sometimes questionable entertainment). The Theatre offers one or two shows during the week, with tickets starting at 1 cp. Popular recent productions include Invorath’s Ten Lunches, The Death of Bor Greybottle, The Fat Dwarf in Love, and The Monster of the Woods.
- Militia Barracks: A local militia was founded twenty-five years ago to protect Fourwell from external threats (mostly wandering monsters and bandits) and respond to internal emergencies (thieves, fire, and so on). The militia currently has forty members who live in the barracks, a group of five buildings within a 10-foot-high stone wall.
- The House Under the Hill: The House Under the Hill is a dungeon built by halflings. It is clear that the place was once a residence, but today it is claimed by giant ants and haunted by undead. The dungeon is composed of several rooms excavated beneath the hill. Though the entire structure is just one level, the giant ant tunnels could easily lead to new adventure sites.

0one's Blueprints: Haunted Manor PDF

Rising near the dangerous cliffs of Darkwood, the haunted manor is an old building made of dark rock with crimson rooftops. It is said it was inhabited by a long-dead noble family rumored to have a relationship with obscure deities of the past. People of the nearby town say the family unearthed something from the ancient circle of monoliths—something that changed their lives. No one dares to approach the manor, though a strange woodcutter named Isaac lives near the manor. Some say that smugglers make their hideout beneath the manor, in the underground dock; this rumour might be confirmed by the strange dancing lights one can see during the night around and in the manor.
The manor is said to be haunted because it lies empty. But, oddly, all its contents are perfectly preserved. A thick layer of dust covers everything, but no part of the building shows signs of damage. No one trying to claim the manor has sucessfully passed the first night inside the dark walls.
Maps include:
- Darkwood Cliffs: An area map depicting the manor, the Darkwood cliffs, the circle of monoliths and the woodcutter’s cottage.
- Haunted Manor—Ground Floor: The ground floor belongs to servants’ apartments, guard barracks, kitchen and warehouses. A small courtyard featuring a well and a portico is located in the middle of the building. From the courtyard you can access to a small chapel and the dining room, as well as to the stables. Four spiral staircases lead up to the first floor and down to the dungeon. A couple of marble-finished large staircases lead to the first floor from the foyer.
- Haunted Manor—First floor: The first floor was the “noble” floor, housing nobles’ apartments featuring rich, marble-covered bathrooms and lush furnishings. A wide hallway, flanked by grim-looking stone statues of strange men, leads to the nobles’ wing as well as to the library and dining wings. The library remains absolutely untouched, with even some open books on the tables.
- Haunted Manor—Dungeon: Part of the dungeon is now a warehouse and a dock serving daring smugglers who don’t believe the rumours floating around the manor. Still they don’t dare to venture far into the dungeon or the manor, using only a small part of the dungeon as dock and storage. The rest of the dungeon features three crypts and some secret rooms where secrets too horrible to be revealed lie hidden.
- Woodcutter’s Cottage and Circle of Monoliths: The woodcutter’s cottage is a large wooden building consisting of one large room and a wood storage area. Isaac the woodcutter dwells in the large room, which features a fireplace, a workbench, and tables and beds. The circle of monoliths is an ancient monument of unknown origins. It features a large area encircled by ancient standing stones, and a blood-spattered altar. The blood on the altar doesn’t seem very old.

“Say, old boy, why ships do not sail through these islands?”
“Because they fear this sea, they fear to sight a black sail, and when you sight a black sail across this sea then you can not do anything else but start to pray as it means you’ve sighted The Black Whale: the most feared pirate ship across the seven seas!”
The Pirate Ship Blueprint presents a detailed pirate ship you can easily use in any fantasy campaign setting. You'll find floor plans for all of the main decks plus a side view and a cross section.
The uppermost level of the ship shows two castles: the forecastle and the poop deck, where the wheel is located. The main deck features two lifeboats and the main cabins. The captain’s cabin, along with the first officer’s, is placed just under the poop deck. The captain’s cabin is by far the biggest and most luxurious cabin on the ship; it features a four-poster bed, a dining table, and a desk. Under the forecastle we find the crew bedroom, the kitchen, the cookhouse, the larder and the boatswain cabin.
Going further down we find the main hold level. In this hold are stored the common tools of the seas such as sails, ropes, anchors, wood for repairs, and a small workroom. Under this level is the bilge, which usually is used for storage of food, wine and spirits, and the like. The captain usually keeps the keys to this deck.

Nobody knows where the pirate island is. Some old seawolves tell that the island is permanently surrounded by a dense fog allowing only ships provided with a special, magical, compass to sail to it.
The island itself is very small and it has been home to pirates for centuries. Only one bay is suitable for large ships and it has a very small entrance. Moreover, one who doesn’t know the underwater surface may hit dangerous dry ends. Just beside the bay is the most renowned inn of the seven seas: the Drunken Skull Inn, where a colorful crowd of pirates, buccaneers, and all sorts of sea scum get together late at night.
Just above the inn looms the house of the pirate chief. Sea tales tell that only one pirate over all has the right to dwell in that house. Some also tell that a secret bloodline of pirates does exist, as the Shrine of the Old Blood witnesses. The Shrine is a very small shrine on top of a small mound overlooking the Black Bay. Old buccaneers whisper of a secret crypt under the shrine, which hosts all the tombs of the Secret Bloodline.
The island has many other features such as a Treasure Cave, a smugglers hideout and a small wood on top of the sole hill that dominates the island.
In this blueprint you will find the following maps:
- The Pirate Island
- The Drunken Skull Inn
- The Shrine of the Old Blood
- The House of the Pirate Chief
- The Treasure Cave
Features:
- "Rule the Dungeon" feature implemented

Welcome to the kobolds warrens.
This blueprint offers five fantasy locations that may house our little dirty friends: the kobolds. You may also use these locations as lairs for other kinds of monsters, since kobolds “haunt” existing locations. Short adventure ideas are included for each location.
Lair of the Necromancer
An old lair of a long-dead necromancer has been discovered by an ambitious kobold who wants to be a necromancer. He also found an old artifact which may allow him to create undead....
Old Cemetery
An old, abandoned cemetery has been infested by kobolds. They desecrated the tombs and made their warren in the crypts. But the dead do not like this invasion...
Ruined Keep
The ruined keep has been home to various monsters in the past. While wandering monster dwell for a while in the outside ruins, kobolds dug deep into the mountain at the rear of the keep and established their warren there. The dirty little monsters use a secret passage to sneak outside during the night and steal goodies from adventurers...
Abandoned Tower
Kobold bandits have claimed this ruined tower as their hideout. The leaders of the kobolds are a sly shaman and a mighty warrior. These brothers raid the wagons of poor villagers in the vale below. The villagers are tired of the kobolds, but do not dare venture into the tower because they think it is haunted...
Dwarven Burial Chamber
The dwarven burial chamber remained untouched for centuries because two mighty stone golems guarded its entrance. Recently, an evil wizard gained control of the stone golems and led them away. The curious kobolds entered the burial chamber and desecrated the old resting place...

Ancient people living in the Dim Forest area tell of the Demon’s Head—a high rock that jutted from the ground in the very center of a star-shaped crevice. The rock is said to contain a demon from hell which lay dormant, at least until the Black Mage entered the Demon’s Head. An obscure pact was forged, and the Black Mage left the rock with a giant warding sigil engraved on the ground.
From that moment, evil forces gathered and six evil lords built a windowless fortress around the Demon’s Head; they called the structure Hell Gate Keep. The six evil lords are a death knight, a lich, a fire giant, a half-orc, a vampire and a half-fiend; it is said the others recently murdered the half-fiend.
Legions of orcs, goblins and bugbears live in the fortress and raid the countryside in the name of their evil lords, bringing thousands of slaves into the keep.

Here is another set of naval maps for use in your own campaigns. The Dragon Ship, also known as Drekar, is, perhaps, one of the most fascinating ancient vessels.
Drekar are known from historical sources, such as the 13th century Göngu-Hrólfs Saga (the Saga of Rollo). Here, the ships are described as elegant and ornately decorated, and used by those who went raiding and plundering. According to the historical sources the ships’ prows carried carvings of menacing beasts, such as dragons and snakes, allegedly to protect the ship and crew, and to ward off the terrible sea monsters of Norse mythology. It is however likely that the carvings, like those on the Oseberg ship, might have had a ritual purpose, or that the purported effect was to frighten enemies and townspeople. No true dragon, as defined by the sagas, has been found by archaeological excavation.

This Blueprint presents a overview of Vladimir Drake's Domain.
The Drake’s Castle overlooks the vale, standing atop a impossibly high pinnacle, like a crow sitting on a banner pole. A long and scary road leads to the castle going through the Ghostwood spectral forest. Although it’s an impressive building, the castle it is not the sole feature of the vale.
The Ghostwood Forest occupies most of the domain and it's largely unexplored, at least by the inhabitants of the nearby village. It is said that Count Vladimir knows the forest perfectly even if no one saw him outside his fortress.
The Crimson River cuts the vale in half. A couple of bridges cross it, but few people use them because they both lead to Drake’s Castle, and no one is so crazy to go there.
People of the vale do not like intruders so the sole inn of the region is located far from Blackraven Village, on the shores of the Crimson River. Blackraven Village is a gloomy bunch of houses sitting at the feet of the Raven’s Hill. This small community do their best to survive in such a dreaded land.

This is a redesign of the 2005 Blueprint Vampire Castle. We have heavily revised the castle by correcting some issues, adding legends, furniture and expanding the dungeon levels.
This is an oversized Blueprint containing fourteen maps, roughly three times a normal Blueprint!
This fortress was built as a defensive bastion against barbaric invasions from the north. It’s a very ancient castle built by Count Vladimir Drake’s ancestors, or so the legend tells. Few of the (un)lucky people who visited the castle claim that, through its halls, there are no signs of ancestors at all. The sole male portrait visible through the castle, is Drake’s himself one...

The oldest building of the village is the church. It sits atop Blackraven Hill. The legend tells that an older church did exist, even before the Castle was built, but this one was burned down by one of Lord Drakes’ ancestors. It is said that the old remains of the church still lie in the belly of the hill.
The cemetery is also very old, maybe it was built just after the church. It never increased in size, remaining exactly as it was. People of the village say that the don’t need more tombs because dead men often walk away on their own.
Other relevant buildings include the town hall and the jail which is also the sheriff’s house and office.
Small farms are scattered all around the village. On the northeast border the Merchants’ Square can be found, here merchants caravans are allowed to stay for one night or two, the time they need to sell their goods.

By far the smallest island of the Crimson Sea, this is perhaps the most dangerous one. The island is no more than a rock featuring a dock, a lighthouse, and a temple. The lighthouse’s lamp is forever lit, in an attempt to lure unwary sailors to visit the island. Legend says, in fact, that the temple is a sacred place and that worshiping into its halls brings great luck and blessings. Old sea wolves know, however, the truth behind these tales. The mermaids lure the sailors into the temple, then drag them into the underground submerged caverns and eat them.

Just east of Demon Hill is the Pilgrim Inn. The inn got its name because, in the past, it was the stopping point for pilgrims going to the nearby Swords Abbey. The abbey is now in ruins but the inn is still (oddly enough) in business. The inn is a one-story building with a few bedrooms for pilgrim clients, a large stable and is overall quite comfortable. The inn also has a small brewery and a wine cellar located underground. However, the innkeeper is hiding a sinister secret....
A well outside the inn hides an entrance to the Dungeon of Swords. Here a newly formed Cult of Swords runs its dark affairs. The cult is an evil twist on the original (good) Cult of Swords that was located in the nearby Abbey of Swords. The cult has very few members living in the dungeon. Most of them live in the inn disguised as customers. The cult only uses the dungeon for rituals when cult brothers come from nearby regions.
The dungeon is well guarded by undead guardians created and commanded by a powerful necromancer who lives in the inn. A large crack separates the Church of the Sword from the rest of the dungeon. Only faithful cult members know how to cross the crevasse and reach the church where the darkest rituals take place.

This product features the small town of Waterbridge.
This town, perfect as a base of operations for adventurers, was built across a river. A large waterfall on the north side of the town carries the frozen waters born in the Northern Mountains to the town of Waterbridge. The town has three bridges (hence the name) that allow people to move easily from one bank to the other.
The Lord Protector of Waterbridge lives in Waterbridge Manor, just east of the Falls. The manor is a two-story building that features a large balcony from which you can see the entire town. The Lord Protector is not the governor of the town, that is a task left to the town council, but his words carry considerable weight in the council’s decisions.
Just south of the manor is a small tower that has three levels plus a small dungeon. The wizard (known as “Mr. W”) who lives in this tower is a reclusive individual and no one can tell what his agenda is. However, he is known to have helped the people of the city more than once in the past.

On the west side of the waterfall, behind a small wood called “the Gravewood” is the small Waterbridge Cemetery. A wall surrounds the quiet cemetery which features two very small family graves and a mausoleum. A small private cemetery is partially hidden behind the impressive mausoleum, it belongs to the family of the Lord of Waterbridge. A strange giant dead tree stands among the graves, for some reason it was left untouched by the townspeople. Through the main mausoleum you can enter the catacombs, which house many graves and store the remains of long-dead citizens. Dead tree roots sprout from the ceiling of one of the chambers of the catacombs.

By far the largest building in the town, the town hall has offices, a council chamber and a courthouse, plus the archives that hold most of the information about Waterbridge. Next to the main entrance, citizens erected a large statue in honor of the town’s founder.
The Emporium is the only place in Waterbridge where you can buy all kinds of things. It is said that its owner got rid of other store owners by less than legal means, but no one has yet been able to prove it.
The blacksmith acts as a locksmith, armorer, wheelwright and any other metal-related trade.
The Misty Waterfall Inn is located in the town’s main square and is renowned throughout the region because it serves the unique Misty Ale, a delicious dark beer for which no one knows the recipe. Many suspect that “Mr. W.” had something to do with it. The inn has a separate building with bedrooms and another for stables.

Behind the Waterfall in Waterbridge, daring adventurers can find the famous Waterfall Dungeon. The underground complex is far older than Waterbridge. Mr. W. sealed the entrance to the dungeon with magic, preventing monsters from swarming over the peaceful town. People can enter the dungeon as they wish, but few do, because the complex is filled with strange undead and fearsome traps.
Beyond the first section, near a small underground lake, lies another section of the dungeon that is now claimed by a small tribe of kobolds. They were fascinated by a large room with an ancient dragon statue of unknown origin. The shaman of the tribe, using ventriloquism, made the statue “speak”, bending the kobold tribe to his will with this trick.
Across the lake was claimed by bugbears bandits. They discovered a cave connected to the surface by an underground stream that is virtually undetectable. Thus, they plunder the countryside and then retreat to their intact hideout.

The Black Wall is the only bastion defending the country from the icy army of the Dark Druid. The fortified line runs from east to west for miles. The wall is dotted with numerous watchtowers, but only the Main Gate allows entry into Inkwood, the realm of the Dark Druid. The Main Gate is also the training ground for the Grey Defenders, primarily cutthroats and convicts who seek a path to redemption by fighting the darkness.
On the ground floor, double portcullises defend the door on both sides, and the massive iron-studded oak doors are always closed before the portcullises. The only well is located in the center of the courtyard. On the ground floor are the forge, storehouse, stables, kitchen and refectory.
The barracks and the officers’ quarters are on the second floor, as well as the armory and the chart room.
On the roof are many siege machines and two fortified areas in case the enemy should break through the walls.

Away from the main road, a large building with a high dome can be seen in the distance. A brass plaque on its door reads “Mansion of Monsters.”
This unique place was built at the behest of a magician who also dabbled in alchemy and mechanism building. He created the Palace to create an exhibit of the strangest creatures he could find.
The wizard lives almost alone in the palace with only a couple of guards and a series of mechanical golems he calls “Automatons”. The golems take care of the creatures, brought in by well-paid bounty hunters, and prepare them for the process that will turn them frozen but still alive. Once the creature has been prepared, they take it to one of the exhibit rooms under the dome.

In a natural cave in the southeast region of Buccaneer’s Bay is Smuggler’s Cove. There are two ways to access the cove. The first is from the sea, by far the most dangerous, because you have to cross the Devil’s Teeth, razor-sharp rocks just below the water level. The second way is through an abandoned lighthouse that is said to be haunted.
Not far from the lighthouse is the home of the lighthouse keeper. The house is still inhabited by the old keeper, a scary old man who has more than one story to tell.
Smugglers Bay is an underground complex run by a mysterious woman known only as “The Redhead” most likely because of her flowing red hair, the only thing you can see since she always wears a squid mask. The bay is studded with doors and secret passages known only to the leader of the smugglers.

The Mary Blue is a mystery. The ship was found stranded on a shore in Buccaneer Bay, near the so-called Skull Rock. The ship was found empty, as if all the crew had suddenly left the ship. Most people think that the monstrous squid-faced devil statue emerging from the waters not far away is the reason for such disappearance.
Because of the fear for the statue, the Mary Blue was not completely plundered, however strange lights can be seen during the night around the wreck. Some say that priests of an unnamed deity make human sacrifices inside the Skull Rock.
All of the Mary Blue’s masts have fallen to the ground near the ship. The ship itself has a huge gash on the right side and bow. It could float but could not sail without sails.

At ground level, inside the flooded chamber of the ancient temple, there is a large chamber with a strange mosaic on the floor.

Some tell that the prison was hit by some kind of plague and that many prisoners found a horrible death locked in their cells. Others tell that a non-human prisoner went out of control and began slaughtering both guards and prisoners.
The prison lies abandoned. Skeletons of murdered people still litter the floor.
The ground floor was originally built with facilities for prisoners, such as a refectory, laundry room, chapel, and library. The courtyards were filled with exercise machines and other such tools.

Legend tells that centuries ago a powerful king came from the stars, carried by a dragon-headed ship, to wisely rule the region. Under his reign the people were at peace and grew prosperous and rich. One day a stranger, dressed in dark clothes, came from nowhere and without warning killed the king. Then he disappeared in a swirl of dark fog, never to be seen again. People were sad and infuriated by this event, but there was nothing they could do.
The court wizard gained much knowledge from the king himself during his reign, so he ordered a tomb to be built that resembled a dragon-headed ship; he told the people that one day their king would return to the stars. He also personally supervised the construction of a mysterious dungeon, the purpose of which remains a mystery to this day.
As time passed, the legend became distorted, and a king who reigned centuries after the Star King ordered the dragon head to be replaced with a ram’s head, the symbol of his dynasty.
The king soon fell into disgrace and his castle on the lake was submerged and the people quickly forgot him.
Today all that remains is a sunken castle and a tomb that resembles a ship with a ram’s head.
