Celebrate the big game with everybody here at Paizo!

It's no surprise that we like games here at Paizo, but we're not just talking about roleplaying games. Skirmish miniature games, a bout of Dominion over lunch, Munchkin in the conference room—all games have a fan among someone on the staff. What some of you may not know is that there a lot of football fans here at Paizo, and when the home team heads to the Biggest Game of the Year, we gotta show our love! For the entire month of February, you can get 12% off a single order when you use the 12thMan discount code during checkout. If you're already receiving your Pathfinder Advantage discount for being a Pathfinder Adventure Path subscriber, you'll get the benefits of both discounts for one order. There are some restrictions for this offer (don't worry, we won't send you to sit by the cooler for the rest of the game), as this offer does not apply to subscriptions, backorders, preorders, and downloads or print releases from third-party publishers. Thousands of products await to go from our warehouse crew to your gaming library—but remember, you can use the 12thMan discount only once!

Not sure where to start shopping? Check out our huge selection of card and board games like the Pathfinder Adventure Card Game or Channel A, find the perfect adventure for your Pathfinder game, grab a t-shirt—and that's just a sample of what you can do with your discount code!

Update: We've fixed some confusing language in the post. The 12thMan discount code does not apply to subscription items. You can use it to place an order for qualifying items that ship with a subscription shipment, but the subscription items themselves will not be discounted.

Oh, it's not the dress-ups and the tailgate parties. That's all within the realm of understanding. It's the loyalty to the point of self-sacrifice and stress that I don't get. It's getting offended at jokes or not taking advantage of a sale because it's dressed in the colors of an opposing team. Basically making your life more difficult because of lines of brand loyalty. That's what I don't get.
It's similar to science fiction and fantasy fans that get upset or stress out by changes that are made in a movie. I heard no end of the gnashing of teeth of Superman killing the bad guy in the newest movie, or the new Star Trek movies being different than the original, or which Doctor Who is the "real one" and which is the "fake one", or whatever. At least football fans are passionate about something that happens in real life. Many football fans, and others who aren't particularly interested in the fantasy or science fiction genres, don't get why people get why people get so worked up and stressed out about fictional characters and what those fictional characters do.

I'll accept that level of equivalency as soon as a mob of nerds riots and busts up their town when they are either angry or elated over the release of the next movie in a sci-fi/fantasy franchise. ;-)

There was none of that in Seattle nor Denver last night. There was civil partying in the streets of Seattle until 4 am. On the other hand, just watch what happens on May Day. Also, I guess you haven't seen some of the reactions when I ban something in PFS ;-)

There was a bit of confusion with some of the wording in the blog post and I've asked Liz to clarify it a bit. The 12thMan discount code does not apply to subscription items. You can use it to place an order for qualifying items that ship with a subscription shipment, but the subscription items themselves will not be discounted. It should work just like the Holiday14 code.

thanks!

In Cricket the 12th man is a player who misses selection in the final 11 but is still part of the team. Can replace one of the playing 11 as a fielder but cannot bat or bowl. Traditionally the 12th man serves the drinks and relays messages from the captain or coach.

If you say somebody is always a twelfth man, instead always a bridesmaid.

It's is also the stage name of a sports comedian and that's just Marvellous!

I thought it was a tradition that the twelfth man for the national team was whichever South Australian player is the biggest threat in the Shield competition, so as to remove him from contention...

Or you are poor old Stuart McGill, the second best spin bowler in the universe and you have the misfortune to have Shane Warne the best spin bowler in the universe in the same team as you... Sadly gone are the days when we had such depth in our team.

True. Both cities were very polite in their rioting, from what I've heard.

And no, I'm firmly in the camp of disorganized play. I've seen some of the PFS threads on this board. I wouldn't touch those arguments with a 10 foot pole and nothing longer than that is listed in any of the equipment lists.

Liberty's Edge

Damn I wish my Pathfinder Advantage was active already. By the time Mummy's Mask 1 ships this is over. :(

Hmm, if I changed my sub to start with WotR 6, then it ships in Feb, and I'd have time to use this code...is 12% discount bigger than the price of one AP...have to do some spreadsheeting now...later!

Liberty's Edge

...but, then, once you have WotR 6, you'll find that you want to buy the first 5. :)

(My subscription started with volume 6 of Shattered Star. I'm now running a Shattered Star PBEM....)

Liberty's Edge

Argh! Don't scare me!
