While I make more than my fair share of purchases directly from Paizo, I cannot see the reason for listing this miniature at nearly double the market price. I advise all gamers to shop smartly and compare market prices online.

We don't really look at what the rest of the market is selling miniatures for when we set prices. Instead, we let the market here on paizo.com dictate the prices. If something doesn't sell, then we lower the price. If it is flying off the shelf, then the price rises a little bit. I have to admit, we haven't taken a look at our prices in a while and we probably need to make some adjustments. Like you said, feel free to shop around.

Btw, I adjusted the price of the Beholder down quite a bit along with some of the other Deathknell figures.

Thanks also for the link to that website. I spot checked a number of our other minis and we regularly came in at the middle of the pack. I think that Beholder was a relic of the days when the prices for D&D minis were through the roof. We had trouble keeping them in stock at that price back then. Then we never had them in stock for a while, so when they came back in stock, the price was still high.

I think we are going to find a way to use that site to make sure our prices are more in the average range going forward. Not sure how we are going to do that, but we will figure something out. :)

Ms. Stevens, you are amazing

(seriously, the humility demonstrated by this is remarkable)

Holy crap, that is impressive Lisa,

And that's why I feel comfortable in buying things sight unseen from this company.

I love Paizo.

Liz Courts is now tasked with checking our singles prices on a fairly regular basis with those on abprices.com. It might take a while for her to get through everything for the first time, so be patient. :)

Agreed with both Matthew and Terquem, it's impressive for a company to actually look at pricing policies as well as been open and honest with their strategy - especially in the volatile miniatures market. Many other companies would say that they are 'competatively priced', or just discount this individual one (calling it an aberration :P

PS. Good for the Gninja, with the extra tasking.
