Kenzer takes a look at one of the GM's favorite tools—the trap!
Ever since Flying Buffalo released the original Grimtooth's Traps and Grimtooth's Traps Too in the early days of roleplaying games, GMs everywhere have clamored for more traps to vex their players! There's just something visceral about watching a well-planned trap come together is some sort of bone-crushing, soul-sapping, character-churning, blood-squishing, body-dropping, limb-impaling sort of way. Well, the folks at Kenzer & Co. have decided that it's time for GMs to add some new tricks to their aresenal, so they've launched Deadly Trappings on unsuspecting players everywhere. Now you know why GMs across the world are smiling those wicked grins!
Deadly Trappings features over 75 twisted traps easily adaptable to a variety of campaign settings and levels of difficulty, all thoroughly researched and finely detailed, complete with purpose of design, mechanisms used, lethality, suggested damage and/or damage substitution rules, intended outcome, ideas for variant traps, and a wealth of additional information. Furthermore, explanatory illustrations throughout provide an awesome visual representation to both players and Game Masters.
So whether you're a new GM facing seasoned players who think they've seen it all, or an experienced GM looking to perk up the game, Deadly Trappings is an essential resource for your arsenal!

What edition is this for?
Callous Jack wrote: What edition is this for? Edition neutral, according to the word on the street.
I'm eager to see how it works out.
Sounds very Grimtooth especially if its system neutral.
I like it.
I haven't had a subscription in a while, but the Traps they publish occasionally the Knights of the Dinner Table comic are usually very interesting, and easily adapted to whichever system you like.
Very excited!

Is the cover a reference to Dragon's Lair?
@Ryan.Costello - It certainly has that feel.
Actually it looks like a colored version of the hero they always have fall victim in their Knights of the Dinner Table Magazine article related to traps. Whether his original design was a shout out to Dragon's Lair I'm not certain. It might be intentional or it might be happenstance. I can see the resemblance though.
I'd love it if they produced a set of Gamemastery Cards with traps on them - it'd take all the work out of randomising them for me.
