I've given the PDF a quick look through - I quite like it as a short standalone product, but I already have a couple of rule questions:

pg7, 8, 10, 12: "The energy shield doesn’t recharge if [Protoframe] takes damage or while [they are] dying."

This is poorly worded in my opinion. Does this mean if they took damage during the turn they would have regenerated? As it is, it could refer to the entire combat... or ever. Is taking damage to energy shields included in this? Should the second half of the statement be written as '... or while they have the Dying condition.'?

pg9: "Aoi and all allies within 20 feet rejuvenate their energy shields as if they began turn."

Ignoring the gramatical error of not saying 'their turn', the meaning of 'rejuvenate' isn't clear (Increase by the Recharge value? Restore to full?) and Energy Shield specifies that recharge happens at the end of a turn, so quite what this is meant to do is unclear.

And no tokens for the premade protoframes or enemies...

Right, but do I need to photocopy them out of the book or do I need to purchase the PDF to print off clean copies of the character sheets?

They are not distributed for free anywhere. A limit of the 3rd party license I woould assume. Non-Paizo comanies have a tendency to be WAY more protectives of their IP. That's the downside of these collabs. They are fun, but it will be surprising if any would ever be as "open" as Paizo's usual stuff.
