You sold me! One more backer at the $15 level!

(And I don't even play MMOs...)

Liberty's Edge

I put down the money for the MMO and was very pleased when the Emerald Spire was announced. I look forward to having it in print. 15 for the PDF is a good deal as well, trying to get a few of my friends in on it.

The Exchange

Is the Emerald Spire a location we heard of before? where is it in Golarion? what's special enough about it to warrant it the title of superdungeon?

Paizo Employee Publisher, Chief Creative Officer

1 person marked this as a favorite.

It's an Azlanti ruin created by exiled wizards in the region now known as the River Kingdoms. It's detailed in about a column of text in the Thornkeep sourcebook.

I remember reading somewhere that this would be made available somewhere in may or june. Is that still the case?

Just wondering: how's this coming along?

Paizo Employee Publisher, Chief Creative Officer

It's in layout at the moment. All of the levels are written and edited, and we've seen drafts of all the maps (they look great!). Coming along nicely.

Dark Archive

How about art lot of new stuff? (Hoping for some Iconic action art Lini perticularly)

Thanks, Erik.

Paizo Employee Publisher, Chief Creative Officer

I haven't seen any of the art, yet, as I think it's still trickling in.

Dark Archive

Has the starting lvl and lvl range been decided on this yet? (Like could I transport a character from doing the dungeons of thornekeep straight into this or is the starting lvl lower?)

It's designed for characters starting at first level who should make it to thirteenth, by the looks, if they play through the whole thing.

I would love to see some updates on the Emerald Spire project. How's it coming? Anything exciting? Project still on time?

Is it a general June release or is that when backers get it? Also any updates on the art?

Paizo Employee Publisher, Chief Creative Officer

I believe the plan is for a worldwide release in June. The art is mostly done. We've seen sketches for just about everything, and some of those have moved to finals. The maps are all done, barring last-minute changes during final editing passes. It has not yet been laid out.

The Exchange

Sweet, thanks Erik. I hope they get around to sanctioning this for PFS before the end of the summer. Would be really excited to play it over my break from university. Been waiting for this one ever since I set foot into thornkeep.

Lantern Lodge

Does anyone know what monster packs would be useful in running Emerald Spire yet? I want to get a headstart by getting some of the prepainted miniatures... if I can. :)

Liberty's Edge

Are there going to be any map packs that correlate to the superdungeon?

- Fid

Yes - a flip mat for each level.

They went through the themes in the Gencon Panel last year... I think the first level was goblins by Lisa....

How did GM's handle obtaining the Letter of Warrant? It really doesn't detail how players go about getting the Letter. Any ideas? I am thinking of making a little mini quest to get the Letter of Warrant and introduce them so some of the characters in Town.

It's awesome having bought it.

Another question about the Letter of Warrant.

It seems really tedious to deal with. I'm probably just going to not use it, but does the wealth in the dungeon account for being taxed? If I don't make the PC's do math every time they leave the dungeon will they end up with 15% more wealth than the book is balanced for?
