Whether you need an old-growth forest, a perilous glacier, an arid desert, or the open prairies, set the scene for nearly any adventure with the Pathfinder Flip-Mat: Basic Environments Multi-Pack! Cover your ground in any situation with four different full-color environments: deep forest, grassy plain, rocky desert, and a polar landscape! Usable by experienced GMs and novices alike for a vast variety of games, Pathfinder Flip-Mats fit perfectly into any Game Master’s arsenal, giving you vibrant playspaces you can customize however you like!
With the Pathfinder Flip-Mat: Basic Environments Multi-Pack, you can focus on what matters the most: the action in your game. A special coating on each Flip-Mat allows you to use wet erase, dry erase, AND permanent markers with ease! Removing permanent ink is easy—simply trace over any permanent mark with a dry erase marker, wait 10 seconds, then wipe off both marks with a dry cloth or paper towel. This set includes two flip mats, each measuring 24" × 30" unfolded, and 8" x 10" folded.
I'm glad to see Paizo taking another shot at the "basic terrain" idea. I loved the idea of the basic terrain multipack, but the execution wound up too dark to show most pens.
I assume these are locked in this close to release, but in my opinion having a dungeon/stone map would be a better choice than a forest, as the grassy plain map can easily do double duty as forest. Of course, the holy grail of flip mat for me has always been grassy on one side, light stone/dungeon on the other, so I might be biased.
OK, could these maps be done in a size? Full cobblestone for those of use who use buildings, also a large ocean map and perhaps a large full grasslands/hills map?
Also, I don't remember seeing preview images before, so if they got added, bravo! More of this, please. (Alternatively, if they've always been there and I just don't remember, blame it on me being old :P ).
