I'm gonna see how many pages in a row I can make this the top post for.
Hey, so I was reading the story behind this record and then somebody in a comments section was all like "Bullshiznit! This record was made in 2003 by a bunch of Bevis Frond-listening hippies at Terrastock!" (which they held in Boston once, and I narrowly avoided being propositioned by a pretty hawt older woman and her much, much older husband--I know, I know "what about 'goblins do it in the streets'?", leave me alone).
Either way, it's still badass.
(I'll make a Bevis Frond post later, maybe.)

Pontic Hemshin Music (I'm not exactly certain what that means, although I did gather that "Hemshin" means Turkish Armenian.)

At the time I bought the comp I first heard 'Orion Awakes' by Golem on (Unknown Deutschland vol 1), whoever reviewed in The Wire (not the TV show) seemed to think that the whole thing had been concocted by Genesis P. Orrige. Maybe, maybe not - even if so, well done Genesis.
My other favourite track on that CD was 'Black Light' by Temple.
Over the past fortnight, I've been listening to Echoes by AR and Machines over and over - Ooh, we love you Achim! - in between digging DA/The Black Goblin's stoner rock finds.

To make the loop more self-contained, I think The Black Goblin is finding them by clicking on other WPZO links and following the youtube recommendations. Huzzah!

I like Flogging Molly. They not so punky anymore tis true. *sniff*
Doodlebugs link is the bomb tho. Those first three songs on that album gets me blood flowin. Missed the band this version of the 'Green 17' tour, maybe next year. Watched the Dropkick Murphys this time. her kids all belong to the State of Massachusetts

Awesome! I just saw these guys last week. They did about 15 more songs for their set in Springfield. Thanks for the link...and thanks to the guy for posting it, my phone cant take video for crap. They did not do 'PLUH!' or the side project song that got me first - the dumb song

Also, though I'm not *listening* to it right now, my second demo EP just dropped this morning. Both of them sound like s@~~. Very punk rock.

Metallica covering Dio! the best thing theyve done since the Maiden cover. Their version of 'Kill the King' is BEAST!
