Ooooo... I quite like this.

I'm gonna see how many pages in a row I can make this the top post for.

Hey, so I was reading the story behind this record and then somebody in a comments section was all like "Bullshiznit! This record was made in 2003 by a bunch of Bevis Frond-listening hippies at Terrastock!" (which they held in Boston once, and I narrowly avoided being propositioned by a pretty hawt older woman and her much, much older husband--I know, I know "what about 'goblins do it in the streets'?", leave me alone).

Either way, it's still badass.

(I'll make a Bevis Frond post later, maybe.)

At the time I bought the comp I first heard 'Orion Awakes' by Golem on (Unknown Deutschland vol 1), whoever reviewed in The Wire (not the TV show) seemed to think that the whole thing had been concocted by Genesis P. Orrige. Maybe, maybe not - even if so, well done Genesis.

My other favourite track on that CD was 'Black Light' by Temple.

Over the past fortnight, I've been listening to Echoes by AR and Machines over and over - Ooh, we love you Achim! - in between digging DA/The Black Goblin's stoner rock finds.

To make the loop more self-contained, I think The Black Goblin is finding them by clicking on other WPZO links and following the youtube recommendations. Huzzah!
