I may have stolen a sentient item that can do the next best thing. There may be an awful lot of running involved, however. And I have a habit of leaving the parking brake on.

Not sure I'll really like this as part of a fantasy campaign, but it might come in handy for finally putting together my long-hedged plan to turn Green Ronin's city of Freeport into a space fantasy space station. Hmm.

Y'know, besides the obvious Iron Gods/OMG SPACE expectations, there may be quite a bit here for Final Fantasy/magitek fans too, eh?
...hrng....imagining hard-light winged angeltech armor/full-body conversions of Vercite design, letting an augmented paladin soar through the skies at jet-like speed.... WANT

This is a perfect way to bring the magitech back to my magitech home campaign setting.

Oh yeah. I knew we'd get some info, but I thought it would mostly be buried in an article or two in Iron Gods...definitely looking forward to this. Not only for Iron Gods, but for people who want to run something involving Vercites, more fun with other kinds of aliens in general, advanced magitech settings...and, of course, Hellworlds and the possibility of cyborg devil troops attacking after Hell's plan for the subtle approach goes under...

Am now imagining a marilith weilding an ammo-replicating flaming SMG, a vicious monofilament wire whip, a wounding chainsaw arm, a vorpal lightsaber, a shock-stick, and a gravity gun. And she has a plasma-lance "stinger" cybernetically implanted in her tail.
Damn.

I'm just curious whether we're going to discover that before devolving to their current level of technology, space-going Grippli established the first civilizations on Golarion along with huge energy generators at the poles that have now caused dimensional rifts allowing Things from Beyond to cross over... ;)

Well, since outsiders can be summoned to almost anywhere on the Material Plane, and Distant Worlds pretty much says it makes little difference to most outsiders...my personal pet theory is that there's definitely a demon lord or two who're doing their best to hide their cache of stolen technology as they experiment with it and build their armies of cyberdemons...while Hell mostly keeps it in reserve for those worlds where they've given up on the attempts to seduce, trick, or behind the scenes take over...and just do a plain blatant military takeover with Hell's finest cybernetically enhanced devils...and mortals from those worlds that have fully fallen into Hell's arms. (I mean, there have been comparisons to Apokolips for Hellworlds...I figure at least some of them have got some extensive cybernetics going on...) One had to wonder if at least a few kyton demagogues aren't dabbling in cybernetics and genemodding too...

I really hope none of these listings are April fools jokes, because people would buy this stuff.
If this is an April Fools' joke, it's been going on for weeks as I crunch all the numbers in the book to get it ready for print in time for the Gen Con deadline. In such a hypothetical, the joke would surely be on me.

I already put alot of these on my wishlist. If it is a joke, it's a bad one.

Is anyone else wondering how long it would take for Mikaze's heart to give out if such magitech things were added in to her Wrath of the Righteous campaign?
What would happen if she encountered the above Marilith, only Mythic, leading an army of half-cybernetic tieflings with implanted hellfire blasted pistols and prehensile monomolecular bladed tails?

Y'know, besides the obvious Iron Gods/OMG SPACE expectations, there may be quite a bit here for Final Fantasy/magitek fans too, eh?
Already on it, my good man. My "Magitek Factory" adventure from a PaizoCon of past is going to get some dusting off.
And to reiterate, these product announcements are *NOT* April Fool's jokes. I would not have stayed as late as I did last night to get them up on the site *before* today if that were the case. :D

Actually that explains why so many came out at once yesterday quite nicely. :)

No, we won't. We'll just quit playing like we did when you announced gunslingers. Only this time we won't return a year later.

It's not an April Fool's joke.
And I know some folks aren't interested in Technology rules... but we're doing them. Overall, I am VERY delighted with the overall response so far... it's a relief to see justification that the AP I've wanted to do for so long isn't only something I'm interested in.
Folks who want a return to more classic concepts will be delighted in the NEXT Adventure Path if they stick around. I'm looking forward to it, for sure!

With this book and the other Iron Gods related releases, maybe we will be able to take PF rules and play a sci-fi or post-apocalypse RPG. About time. I too hope that the Iron Gods AP is a proving ground to feel out the public demand for a full-on sci-fi version of the rules. Unspeakable Futures a la James Jacobs anyone?

As a matter of fact... just as the gunslinger was adapted from Unspeakable Futures... large portions of this book (about 2/3 of which was written by me) is pretty much directly ported out of Unspeakable Futures.
And if Iron Gods and its support material do well, that will certainly inform us at Paizo as to the demand and interest in a science fiction game.

I've always been a firm believer that if done correctly, you can use the d20 system for any genre. So I cannot wait to do this. I've always wanted to do a Pathfinderized version of Space: 1889, even if I have it for Savage Worlds :)

Play an android paladin of a janiform Sarenrae/Brigh, arm myself with a +5 merciful EMP burst hardlight longsword, and redeem the $&@! out of them.
