Does Mobility increase CMD?

Scenario: A character with the Mobility feat moves through an opponent's threatened area. The opponent uses her Attack of Opportunity to try and trip the character. Does the +4 bonus to AC from the Mobility feat also affect the CMD to resist the trip attempt?

In general, I'm a bit fuzzy on what does and does not affect CMB and CMD. I can't seem to understand the logic behind what applies and what does not. Does anyone have a concise guide?

Thanks!

Not official or even looked up:

Yes. It should.

Does "an explicit list of bonus types in the Core Rulebook" count as a concise guide? ;)

If Mobility's +4 to AC is one of those types, then it applies.

Just to add to Jiggy's note: the bonus granted by Mobility is a dodge bonus. So yes, it applies.

Mobility provides a Dodge bonus; therefore, it would apply to CMD against a MoO (maneuver of opportunity).

Please don't try to make up new terms. There's no such thing as a "Maneuver of Opportunity", nor does there need to be.

Sorry if my joke offended you; I'll make sure to notify the terminology police before doing so again.

Ha! Yes, I suppose it does :-)

It's still going to be a pain to try and remember all the types, but at least now I know where to look.

Thanks!

Tamago, it is the same types that add to AC expect armor and shield. Just know Dodge bonus stacks with it self. The rest do not. I think Circumstance bonus stack with it self but I don't remember and don't have the ablity to look it up. and there is one left off that list is trait bonus from background traits. those are in Advanced Players Guide and they let you know if they are apply to cmd.

Also CMD can be flat footed also or denined dex as a reduction.

Circumstance bonuses stack as long as the source of the bonus is different.

Sczarni

Same with Racial bonuses.

There are also other types, such as a Competence bonus or Racial bonus, that would not apply. So unfortunately, it's not just as simple as ignoring the armor and shield bonuses :-(
