YES YES AND YES!
So many cool minis here. From sexy (well, for paper drawings at least)demonic women showing almost too much cleavage (Ok, there's no such thing as showing too much cleavage) to demons, undead, and a ton of cool monsters we've never seen in paper mini form. (and at least one I don't think we've ever seen in any tabletop form).
Awesome as always. Didn't even need to see the preview to buy it, and it was worth every penny!
So, with only one more ROTR AP left, what paper minis will you be tackling after that?

Out of curiosity, which minis are you talking about? And as for Kingmaker, I do not have any info but Liz may know the status of the KM sets.
In particular, the golems, the wraiths, Arkrhyst, the mephits, the giants and the earth elementals are all general enough that I'll probably get some use. I'm fond of sinspawn as well, so that doesn't hurt :)
Edit: Can't forget about Yaenit-Ku. I likes me some Glabrezu

Hey gigglestick, thanks a lot! I'm happy to hear you like it. If you have time for a review, I'd appreciate it! Which mini has never been in tabletop form?

Yaenit-Ku was actually one of my favs from the set. I'm glad to hear you have plans for some of these even though you already ran the campaign.

Bought and downloaded (along with the set for Fortress of the Stone Giants).
An awesome work, sir.
Thank you very kindly, golem101. And I'm glad the set arrived just in time for you, increddibelly. :)
I appreciate any feedback and if anyone would like to post a review, I'd love that too.

I wouldn't mind seeing a Second Darkness Set either.
There's a lot of fun creatures in there and despite the fact that its not the most popular AP, I'm sure a lot of people own it. (While I've never run SD straight, I've used it as a backdrop for a campaign and lots of the encounters will be used).
Besides, you've already got Shelelu.
The special Shemhazian Demon I do not believe has ever been done in Mini Form. And I'm not sure in Hounds of Lamashtu or Alu Fiends were ever done.
Either way, keep em coming and I'll keep buying them.
I plan to print these out soon. Then I'll get some pix uploaded to the same site I had the other ROTR minis posted.

Hey gigglestick, thank you so much for the review. I really appreciate hearing your thoughts on the set.
I figured the Shemhazian Demon was the one you were talking about. That was a lot of fun to do although the gargantuan size had me sweating how it would work on the page layout!
As for SD, it's all in the hands of Liz although I actually like that campaign. I do think there are some fun monsters in there like the akata and the mandragora!
If you have pics, post 'em up. I'd love to see them. :)

OK Liz, while we're needling you...
A while back there were some B&W pictures of the minis Crystal used for her COCT campaign. It looked like most of the characters from EOA and 7DTTG were accounted for (as well as a few nice PC/NPS characters).
And chance we could see these as a purchasable DL?
And any new on future Kingmaker (from Crystal) or LOF (from Ashton) mini sets?

Just bought these. I enjoy the mass quantity of monsters I can re-use for other campaigns and the wizards I can use as my own PC's (I'm a battle-mage fan). I love all of them...except one. And I don't -dislike- it so much as I question it.
Why does Athroxis look so different than she does in the book?

Hi Icaste! I'm glad you liked the set. That's cool to hear some of them may end up as PCs.
As for Athroxis, the illustration in the book is pretty cool but I'm just not a fan of women warriors with exposed killzones all over the place. In some instances, it may make sense but I didn't think so with a badass like Athroxis.
So it's just personal opinion, I'm sure others could argue strongly for the opposite side.
Thanks for the question!

I suppose that's fair. I think the reason it seems odd is because the colors don't contrast with her skin tone as well as the red and black did. Wish I could recolor her armor (which I did like for general npc use).
Another one is the scribbler. I'd forgotten about him last post. He seems rather generic (although he makes a great Mook Commander!)

Y'know, I did debate over that for a while. At the time, I was going to paint the Warriors of Wrath in red armor too along with the Sinspawn. I wanted her to stand out from the pack with a different color scheme.

Here are some of the minis assembled as A frame CBH (Cardboard Heroes).
They go together quicker that way.
With some other paper minis (Battle Studios) for scale.
I'll keep adding more to the folder as I get them assembled.

That's fantastic, thank you gigglestick. It's a lot of hard work so it's nice to see someone will use them. I love seeing the Shemhazian Demon towering over the puny adventurers!

I have players who have severe arachnophobia, so I rarely use spiders in my games. I have a separate box of "Icky Bugs" (actual label) that I keep all of that in so that people don't get freaked out on accident.
But yeah, I love me some giant spider....
Deathweb is really, really big compared to the other minis on my desk. Pure nightmare fuel if one would ever run across a spider that big.

Just noticed, but the huge-sized creatures in this set (Arkrhyst, the Karzoug statue, and the earth elementals) don't appear to have bases. This is not insurmountable by any means (there is a page of huge bases in the Bestiary set that I just printed out, but they could be freehanded too), but might be something to consider for a pdf update at some point. :)

Thanks Jack and Liz!
No, sadly. My group finished RotRL before the minis came out. However, the summoner in my Kingmaker campaign is now able to summon (among other things) huge elementals, so I was going through my other sets and printing out things from her summon list.
It is nice to have so many options from the various sets. For example, another GM who is running our party through Curse of the Crimson Throne needed some wyverns and lamias for a random encounter in the Cinderlands, last week and I happened to have both from the Fortress of the Stone Giants set. Very handy, though I kind of wish those lamias either looked closer to their designs in the adventure art, or the example lamia in the Bestiary.
Still, that's just personal taste. It was agreed that the wyverns were adorable.

Rats, I was hoping you had pics. ;-)
I'm glad to see you're finding a use for the minis outside the adventure path. Did you see the Orc set? It has a better wyvern (imo) and also a few more animals like dogs, a bull, a rhino and more mammoths/mastodons!

After a fairly long hiatus, my Rise of the Runelords group is back at it! This is a picture of their battle with Freezemaw the Dragon!
That shot was taken right after the dragon Snatched the halfling archer (he really didn't like those dragonbane arrows!). Unfortunately, he chomped her pretty hard and she later fell to her death. Don't worry, though, she got reincarnated as an Aasimar!

Awesome pic! I love to see the huge and larger size minis in combat. Looks like you used a heavier cardstock for that mini to stand on the base. And what's with the moose?
Yes, it was cardstock, though I don't remember the weight. One problem I sometimes have with the larger minis is that it's easy for PC minis to get hidden behind the paper minis. So whenever possible I try to cut away around the larger ones so my players can see past them better.
The moose is an animal companion belonging to the Dwarf cleric in the center. It's his Animal Companion (from the Animal domain).
Glad you like! They're in Runeforge now, so hopefully you'll get some pics of that soon. Big battles with the Warriors of Wrath, I'm sure! :-)

I try to keep that in mind when doing the big minis but it's not always possible because of tentacles or something like that (the Havero from the last Curse of the Crimson Throne set being a good example).

Please keep the pics coming! There's some cool stuff (Golems, Shemhazian Demon, Karzoug statue, etc.) in Runeforge and I can't wait to see the giants in action in the next set.

Thread necro with an off topic question:
On topic: even though I'm picking up the pre-painted minis, I'm still going to get these paper minis to fill out the gaps. Great work CJ!

Sorry for the delay! Here are some more pics of the minis in action!
Fighting Karzoug's statue (note the summoned Triceratops in the middle)
Confronting the forces of Wrath
In battle with the forces of Wrath
Thanks for the great minis!

Out of curiosity, what do your players think of the paper minis?
My players got hooked way back in book 1 when they got to fight goblins for the first time :-)
To be honest, I think they take the minis for granted now. They did like the really big demon, and the fact that there were minis for each of the Warriors of Wrath was a big plus. But I think that they are so used to the awesome minis by now that it would take the lack of them to really get much of a response.
