Thanks, do you add material cost on top of that? Or does that already take average material cost into consideration?

We're trying to figure out wands, their spells, and cost. When your dealing with spell that scales damage according the caster level, what is the cost of the wand? As an inquisitor, I have ear-piercing scream, it does 1d6 per two caster levels. Would I just pay 750gp for a wand with 50 charges and the damage scale according to my caster level? Or would the cost be at the damage level that I wanted?

I've enjoyed the guide, thanks for your hard work on this.

If anyone would like to post builds that are based on the guide, please do so. I'm just starting out in Pathfinder and getting an optimal balance between skills, spells, offense and defense is proving to be difficult.

I see, so after the opponent acts, the rogue would get SA.

To clarify, being unaware doesn't actually make a person a valid target on sneak attack on its own. Usually when someone is unaware of an opponent that person is denied its dex against the enemy. (For example a rogue attacking a 3rd level barbarian with Uncanny Dodge will not get to sneak attack even if he is invisble or using stealth because Uncanny Dodge prevents them from being flat-footed, or lossing their dex to AC even if the character is invisible.)

I don't see where Defensive Strategist mentions invisibility. So, if the opponent only has the Defensive Strategist trait, and the rogue is invisible, the rogue gets sneak attack?

Hi all, new to the game, and enjoying it so far. Our group had a question about sneak attack damage. Do rogues get sneak attack when the opponent has abilities that prevent him from being flat-footed like the Defensive Strategist trait or Uncanny Dodge feat?

OK, thanks!

New to PF, and wondering what sets off an initiative roll? For example, if a group of creatures are 120 feet away and running towards the party, when would you roll initiative to determine who can take actions in order in the round?
