Public transportation generally sucks in Houston, but it's almost bearable if you're inside the Loop and the places you want to go are the few that have service.

The 0One Basic Path games take part in a town called Gafolweed that can be dropped in any fantasy setting. I only own the first one so far, but I highly recommend it.

Ah, thanks for the recommendations.

There are a number of modules that could easily be adapted for play near Sandpoint.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll take a look at them.

Also, does anyone know if the 2 Basic Paths modules from 01 Games are set in Golarion/Valusia or some other setting?

Gotta tell you, I really wish there was a print option for this product...was all set to purchase it when I realized it was only available as a PDF, that kind of kills the Pawns, which were what got me to stop and look at the product in the first place.

There is, as pod here

Are the pawns in the Lulu POD version made of thick cardboard like the ones in the Beginner Box?

Well, there is Feast of Ravenmoor, which takes place a few days' travel away, and would tie in well with an adventuring group based in Sandpoint.

We Be Goblins takes place near Sandpoint, but in that adventure, the players are playing Goblins. Which is very fun, but might not be what you are looking for.

The Harrowing is a great module that could be dropped in anywhere but fits well with Varisia, however, it's 9th level, so it will be a while before your players can take it on.

Finally, as Carn suggested, the first volume of Jade Regent, The Brinewall Legacy takes place in and around Sandpoint. You could probably run it as a standalone adventure pretty easily, stopping after dealing with the Goblins in Brinestump Marsh.

Likewise, even though it sounds like you don't want to jump into Rise of the Runelords right now, you could make the first book into a standalone adventure very easily. In fact, you could probably get your existing characters right up to about 5th level using the first book, Burnt Offerings. Even if you don't want to run that adventure, I would highly recommend picking up the pdf of the first book, because it includes a gazetteer of Sandpoint, which is chock full of adventure hooks for you to spin out into your own stories!

Good luck, and have fun!

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I've no issues with jumping into Rise of the Runelords, I just wanted to see what all adventures were available for the Sandpoint area.

Do you know if any of the PFS adventures take place in the area?

Jade regent starts in sandpoint. But doesnt stay there long.

Thanks.

Besides the 2 adventures in the Beginner Box and the 4 Beginner Box Bash adventures from the website are there any other published adventures that are based out of or take place near Sandpoint?

Besides the Rise of the Runelords Adventure Path that is.
