Hey so this thread is kinda old, however I took your idea about a rumor table and kinda ran with it a bit. My plan was to have a flowchart of sorts where I could roll to create rumors to entertain me and my players. The chance of a rumor being true is entirely up to the DM. If the table looks a little convoluted it's because I'm still tidying it up, having done most of it in the wee hours of the morning after a session finished. Spreadsheet containing rumors
