Ah, you're the new neighbors at S! I was just asking about you yesterday, over in our Hammerfall thread. Congratulations on your spot! Welcome, and feel free to drop by the Groundlings Tavern! Two-for-one Swamp Juice on Land Rush Results Mondays!

Can't argue with two for one that's for sure.

We are looking for a wide range of players to come and settle down with us. We are a diverse group when it comes to what we enjoy in an mmo and are looking for the same, we have bandits, merchants, explorers and crafters and want as many of each as we can find. If you have any interest please check us out.

Hey guys I was reading through some threads on Tsar and saw there used to be a pdf of some maps that Frog God Games had but all the links are broken now. Was just curious if anyone knew where I might be able to find them now.

Hi, I have been trying to get in touch with anyone from Frog God Games for a few days now. I have tried the contact us from their site and posted on the forums. Another user on their forums directed me to here. I placed an order 10 days ago and my payment was received but I have not been able to get any other information. Just trying to get any update at all on my order. Thank you.

I do have herolab I'm thinking maybe cr 20 which will be really tough but not impossible.

Yeah I'm thinking that's what might have to happen at this point heh. Anyone got any good ideas on a build for Tar-baphon that might be a bit more challenging than what is written now but not just a total wipe for the party without any hope.

So far the party has failed on pretty much every level of this ap. They have not stopped the whispering way once in any significant way. If anything they have helped them by delivering the raven's head and not saving the count after multiple tries. At this point it feels like the whispering way would complete their task and feed the potion to the count. What kind of encounter would you think this would set up for the end. Any ideas would be very helpful.

I think I am going archaeologist at least for now. I have run Rappan Athuk many times in 3.0 and 3.5 so know I will being making a new character at some point lol.

Yeah I was thinking that we were lacking in some ranged damage. Hmmm maybe I will have to look into that. Do most think bard is a better choice then rogue here.

or should I focus more on a rogue or trapfinder type instead?

So we are starting a new Rappan Athuk game with a larger group. So far we have a wizard, paladin, 2 fighters and a druid. What I am looking for is some help on what I should make. I'm guessing some sort of divine caster but I usually do not have much fun with them so looking for an interesting build to use. Any help would be great.

Wow, yeah that seems to be just like what I am looking for. Thank you very much.

I was thinking of trying to make a character that just stacks up as much DR/ as possible. And then I was thinking hey who better to help me then the brilliant minds on the forums. So anyone have any build ideas on how to really stack up the DR. Any help would be great. I was thinking probably best class would be Barbarian, probably invulnerable rager of course.

What do people think? Any ideas, better class, race, feats.

what do people think of the undead lord cleric

wow didn't realize so many options hehe. I will have to start sorting through

We are playing an evil campaign and my goblin anti-paladin just fell. I would really like to make some sort of necromancer. Someone to raise those good races and send them back to destroy their loved ones. Anyone got any ideas on the best way to go about this. We are third level at the moment. Any help is appreciated.

What do people think of the magus

Hmmm bard might not be to bad. Might try putting something together with that. Anyone else have any oddball ideas?

So I am in a party with an Oracle, Barbarian, Rogue and Sorceror. We are 10th level and I need to come up with a character to join and am having some trouble coming up with something different and thought hey maybe the people on here could help me out with some fun ideas to try. Looks like we will be ending around 15th level so should be interesting for the next 5 levels or so. Any help/ideas would be appreciated and thanks.

For all the people saying just saying use mage armor, I don't believe mage armor is on the magus spell list is it?

You can only learn a formula of any level that you can create so at level 2 you can not learn a level 6 frmulae.

I have done a conversion, but I changed many of the abilities. The dervish now has a number of rounds per day that she can dance and different types of dances. It's been playtested.

Let me know if you want me to dig it up and post it.

I know this is a bit of an old post but if anyone has any sort of write up or conversion I would love to see it. Thank you.

anyone have any suggestions?

So trying to decide where to take my character from here. The character is a 5 bard (dawnflower dervish)/ 1 Fighter (Unarmed fighter) with the following feats combat expertise, crane style, dodge, enforcer mobility, skill focus intimidate, dervish dance, IUS. I have the Blade of mercy and threatening defender traits. Just wondering what I should be looking for feat and level wise from here on out. I have thought about a couple more levels of bard then going to eldritch knight but just can't decide.

I thought every missed requirement was a -5 penalty?

I believe blackbloodtroll meant +5 to the dc which is the same as -5 penalty to the roll.

I will do that.

That might be interesting

This brings up a question I always wonder about, do people find they really fight in such large open spaces on a regular basis that you can use such tactics all the time. I mean how does that work say in a 40ft by 40ft room or a hallway or anywhere pretty much not outside?

In truth, my level 8 druid is an archer specialist, but she has wildshaped on occasion.

The sort of tactic I was describing above is very situational. Setting up such a situation would take at least two rounds (one to buff your AC, one to summon the tigers) unless you had a quickened spell handy. Plus you'd have to have wildshaped already.

However, I have used similar tactcs, both as a player and a GM, in surprisingly crowded places. In fact for crowd control purposes, sometimes the more crowded the space, the better. One of the beautiful things about the summon spells is that you can cause your animals to appear right in the midst of, or even right behind your enemies.

I have had cases where my druid, her AC and three summoned creatures simultaneously attacked a boss and just destroyed it. But it's not the "normal" tactic. I save it for special occasions where we've scouted well and are able to get the jump on the enemy. And in those cases my druid doesn't wild shape, she full-attacks with her bow from range.

I was just curious, I have done and seen it done in the past more with a summoner then a druid but still very similar tactic. Was just wondering if others usually ran into the same sort of situations I noticed where you always seem to be fighting in more compressed spaces?

Anyway don't want to steal the thread just curious when I read it :)

thanks these are some interesting ideas so far.

first pretty much any race and class combo is allowed. The sorceror is set up as the face right now. What went wrong was I rolled a 1 on a save against a ghast and then got the old coup de grace against me and rolled a 2 on that save lol.

So I died playing a Paladid/Sorc/DD last night. We have a 7 person party consisting of a Barbarian/Oracle, Barbarian, Witch, Cleric, Inquisitor and a sorceror. We are 6th level and I am just trying to come up with something fun and different to try out. Stats are 18, 16, 14, 14, 14, 12 and can play pretty much anything. Any ideas for something new and different?

I'm just curious how others here handle new characters. Say you have a character die and the player makes a new one at 7th level. How do you handle starting money and equipment. If you have a bad streak and get two or three deaths quickly you can really start building up on the dead guys equipment and money.

Making an 8th level witch starting with 33,000 gp and just looking for some advice on what sort of equipment I should be looking at.

ok was just curious if I was reading that right. I have a player who will be using it and wanted to make sure. Looks like some immune to non lethal might have to pop up now and again heh.

right but the earth breaker you can and with bludgeoner you can deal non lethal with it.

I just want to make sure I understand right with bludgeoner, power attack, sap adept and sap master a level 8 rogue (4d6 sneak attack damage)with a 22 str could do 10d6 +23 non lethal damage with a sneak attack hit. 2d6 base plus 4d6 sneak plus 4d6 sap master plus 8 sap adept plus 15 strength and power attack.

I did take Oath of Vengeance and my paladin spell is Heroic Defiance. Think I will just work with the penalty for now and see about the Mithral armors a little later. Thanks all for the advice. Greatly appreciated.

Hi I have a half-orc paladin 4 sorc 1 who next level is going to go into dragon disciple. My question is what should I do for armor now. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Deadly Aim does work with firearms it specifically says so in the firearms description.

Well I was just looking for something different to try but maybe I can come up with something without using prestige class.

hmmm interesting I will have to take a look at. Thank you
We really could use a rogue or ranged type

Well we already have a fighter (sword and board type) a cleric, a summoner and a magus so something to fit in with that group. I really don't have much preference anything can be fun if.

So I have not used any of the prestige classes in Pathfinder yet. I was wondering what peoples opinion on them are. I am making an 8th level character and thought this might be a good time to try one out. Any ideas?

anyone else have any suggestions. I was thinking maybe some sort of ranged character.

Need to make a new 8th level character. The group is a cleric, fighter, magus and summoner who has leadership feat with a paladin. In this campaign all spells are cast at -1 cl due to what is going on and probably 70% of the time you can't cast evocation or transmutation spells at all. I was playing a barbarian but has been killed and need something new. Any ideas or help for something different would be greatly appreciated.

but UC specifically states tiger as a mount for a medium sized character at 4th, that's where the issue comes in lol.

I am having troubling figuring out what the tiger mount would have for stats as a 6th level beast rider mount. The rules seem a bit contradictory . Any help would be greatly appreciated.
