Personally I'm really looking forward to the geographies and the low PP game aids. I'm starting to get really into sandboxing and it'd be nice to have some overland tips, rules, charts etc.

I've never played S&W. I've seen it but I sort of checked out of "old school D&D" type of play a long time ago. The more I think back on it and go through old notebooks and such, the more I realize I wasn't that into canon AD&D 1e when I was playing decades ago.

Thanks FFG for embracing the PF stuff w/your products.

Was that a "yes" on a boxed set for the Lost Lands setting? Humm, I guess I'm going to have to find something else to bother Tsathogga about...

No, not an actual box. They are just too easily damaged, are re****edly expensive, and a pain to assemble. They are cool, but at our level of production just not really feasible, unless Bill has some Poulsbo Black Magic* I don't know about.

*Yeah, that's a thing.

Damn reality, getting in the way again.. :(

A hard cover works too especially if it comes with a good fold out map.

Publisher, Frog God Games

Boxes are very tough--they just don't ship well, and don't stand up over time. We specifically went to the stitch bound hardcovers (at great expense) so that your books would last, well, longer than most of us will be alive.

AND Swords & Wizardry Complete.

I'm also still not over the trauma of laying out "The Mother of All Encounter Tables".

Which you did a great job on BTW. The two Mother books are something I always bring to the table, even if I'm not using them (as a backup to mine for emergency ideas). Landscape format - while a bit weird at first for a gaming book - made perfect sense for MoAET

So the work that went into that book is greatly appreciated.

Steve, you could try using those nifty clear plastic tubs with sealable lids I have seen used for this sort of storage. They hold up far better than cardboard boxes ever could and are more water-tight.

I'm personally trying to find tubs that have straight sides and the lock tops.

If you find any, let me know. I know they specifically DONT make them with straight sides, as its easier to stack and store them with the slants when empty (darn sales requirements). But it would be very handy to find some actual cubes.

SG

The clear ones don't work as well for me as the blue tubs. We have about a dozen and yeah straight sides would be better, but you deal with what ya got!

I'm basically looking for a plastic Banker's Box.

Cheers. Although my yearning for a box set isnt really a practical thing - I just want to recapture that Christmas day feel of opening a new box set and pulling out all the books, maps, handouts, etcetera for the first time. :)

I appreciate it isnt terribly likely but products like this give me hope. A boxed set done right, in my opinion and recently enough that it's possibly even commercially viable...

Is Tome of Alchemy now 2015?

WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOO! THE BLIGHT is still happening! That's awesome!

Richard, I love your work and can't wait to see it!

Well, I picked up a bunch of stuff in the sale including Splinters of Faith. Let's see the town has 25 people and a GP limit of 10. The PCs must start with pitch forks and hoes.

Right, back to my corner then.

Personally, I use milk crates for storing books. I played the rogue as a younger person, if you do it right, you can pilfer some from the nearby grocery store (just not in bulk). They have straight sides, stack very well, and are the perfect size for standard gaming books.

Howdy.

Alchemy is still on the schedule, but has no set date as of yet. It's currently undergoing development and additional design.

Along with the "shorts" Bill mentioned above, this was the other big project I was handed when I came on board in December. And I'm excited to usher it through the process and get it out as quick as possible. But getting it right is more important than doing it quick.

As the project evolves and I know more, I'll say more. But unfortunately, given where it is in the project cycle I can't really nail down a timeframe just yet.

DUNES OF DESOLATION?! WHEN?! In time for The Mummy's Mask AP?! :D

Our gaming stuff is in six heavy duty book cases about the house. We also have a couple of steel racks for the big stuff like all my Dwarven Forge and Terrain. I might have to go back to the Dewey Decimal system to organize them all!

So what is this Tome of Alchemy?

What is the status of the campaign map for The Lost Lands? This would be real nice to have and to know where everything is.

We know its been a rough ride on these, so I wrote one extra chapter in RA (7 instead of 6 chapters) for the patient wait. Note to self--never do a subscription again when you overhaul your fulfillment and IT systems.

Bill, do you have the names or can you release the details of the last two RA chapters? I am really hoping that we get the follow up to the Tunnels of Terror.

When is the GM sale going to hit the FGG site? Or did I read that wrong and it is only on Paizo's site?

Hi, I have been trying to get in touch with anyone from Frog God Games for a few days now. I have tried the contact us from their site and posted on the forums. Another user on their forums directed me to here. I placed an order 10 days ago and my payment was received but I have not been able to get any other information. Just trying to get any update at all on my order. Thank you.

Just heard form Mama Frog. According to the tracking number we have, the package was delivered. She didn't have the number with her immediately, and was going into a meeting. As soon as we know more we'll let you know. Could it have gone to a neighbor maybe?

Lots of news soon!

Pathfinder Lead Developer, Frog God Games

Dunes of Desolation is through Lost Lands continuity (man, it's going to be making some big additions to the world--it's already spawning the need for a sequel Desert Kingdoms book).

Sword of Air wilderness map is about 80% done, just going through some of Bill's last bits and making it fit into the big picture (hint: it fits VERY well). In fact the Sword of Air will reveal for the first time the Stoneheart Valley (yes, it actually is a valley) in its entirety and how it fits into the world context of the Lost Lands. The hardest part of doing this map was limiting its size so it didn't show too much of the world in order to stay on task for the adventure it's supporting.

Lost Lands world map is about 60% done. It is still on track for its prototype to be be unveiled to the full FGG crew at North Texas RPG Con in June. Unfortunately my boards exam is just a couple days later, so I won't be able to hang around long to show it off and wave it's banner so to speak. But I suspect, Bill and the Froggy Crew might be willing to give some sneak previews during the week.

Any sign of the Northlands Saga? Been waiting for this for a while now, it seems to be stuck on book 4 :)

Northlands is still progressing. I'm currently going through Sword of Air continuity with Bill and building the Lost Lands world map for June to reveal to the company (campaign setting to follow probably next year). Then Northlands is next on the list to turn full attention to.

However, it has not been lying fallow in the meantime. There are four more adventure completed and on my desk to date, plus additions to the first four to bring them up to date with the Northlands campaign guide. Oh, did I mention the campaign guide was also done? Not sure that I did, but it is.

In other words, there is a lot of Northlands stuff coming up in the not-too-distant future. I've still got to get another handful of adventures cranked out, and then we'll be releasing the whole thing as a giant hardback campaign setting/adventure path--all 100% Lost Lands canon, of course. :-)

It's also done development, and mostly in layout. Just waiting on a few map revisions. Tom Knauss did a bang-up job on this one!

And to tease a little about the "short PDFs" Bill mentioned earlier in the thread: final drafts from writers are starting to come in, and we're looking good for getting these rolling in May. Paizo-fan favorite Mike Kortes will be kicking off the series with a new class, The Portalist. More about the class as it gets closer to May.

My wife wants to dig into the Northlands Saga so great news there. Can't wait for the new maps!

Thanks for the love guys. The plains book is also nearing completion and should be fully done by the end of April.

How much Lost Lands fluff will be in the Desert book? Enough to justify a S&W fan getting it, even though I don't use much Pathfinder (as I recall, PF only on those, right?)

Also, great to hear things are progressing! I'm still very excited about Sword of Air, and glad to see updates.

Question about the map... there's a good sized map in Splinters of Faith... does that reside somewhere in the Lost Lands? Or is that a setting of it's own?

Well, I can't say whether it would justify an S&W fan purchasing it or not - that's really up to each individual. I'll give some more info tonight, once I'm back in front of my files and notes. But in the short terms...

The entire religion chapter is Lost Lands compliant, including pulling in stuff from Necropolis. Part of that chapter is certainly mechanics - domains, favored weapons, etc - but there's also descriptions of the deities, including discussion about how the pantheons themselves came about.

In addition, the three adventures either use or expand existing Lost Lands geography.

And in addition to that there is a good chunk of setting neutral material, including what I've been calling the "science" of deserts in my notes: what a desert is, geologically speaking; how they're created; weather patterns encountered in deserts; how an oasis forms; what causes mirarges; and so on.

This evening, I'll start a new thread on Dunes of Desolation and share a bit more info, and I'll keep it updated as the book progreses through the layout and printing schedules - including seeing what I can do to post up some sneak peeks of the material.

I REALLY wanted to do the book in SW--we even looked at it--and decided it would just be too small to make it viable--it was like Fire as she bears---as soon as we took the rules stuff out it just was not really a book anymore.

Let me ponder a preview solution

Bill, Your/FGG's philosophy (and track record) of only putting out high quality products is what has made me back all of your kickstarters and buy S&W rereleases of your 3.5 Necromancer Games products.

Even though I'm mostly interested in your S&W line going forward, I'm fine with the fact that not all products you release will be S&W compatible because that way I know that when I get one of your products, it's passed the "FGG quality assurance standard".

Thanks for the kind words Laric--yup--if we don't think it provides value we won't sell it.
