I've been hoping for the Book of the Damned(Complete) and the Shadowstaff. I have a campaign planned around those two. No such luck for those specific items I'm afraid. But we do have deific items for Cayden Cailean, Desna, Irori, Shelyn (which is suprisingly metal). Some star guns, a ring from an fey lord, and a shield made out of kaiju.
I can expound if any of those interest you. But summarizing is a bit difficult. shelyn please :) also they fey lord ring Fey ring is the forgotten signet, tied to the lost prince. Wearing it constantly gives you mind blank, making you almost impossible to divinate.
But it also makes you almost impossible to remember as well, even a success makes it hard for others to convey things you've told them to other people.

Which also traps souls with no way to remove them (not even wish). It is also implied to be connected to some great corrupting force which the souls go to in the big beyond. The implication being that thing corrupted Zon-Kuthon, and even millenia under shelyn couldn't un-screw it.
Part of it's abilities even let you contact the thing, allowing you to learn serious info about evil stuff in general. (as legend lore, and possibly allowing a retraining for an evil lore). But it can literally make you evil if you aren't careful.
Shelyn will only lend it out to the most trustworthy individuals for extremely important quests, most likely looking for methods to "fix it".

Sort of a Hawkeye Gough situation, as it were. Ok, but what is the use case? I can't think of any build where this bow is actually useful.
You have to take feat to use it. If you attack multiple times per turn then it's easier to use a longbow or one of the new bows from the Treasure Vault than spend an action on reload. Maybe gunslinger? but I don't think it'll be better than using fatal weapons.
At the same time, Barricade Buster is reload 0? Barricade buster is 40ft range with 20ft volley (so it really has to be used at 20-40 ft). So it’s a whole heck of a lot harder to use in most fights.
Phalanx piercer is basically double that range with propulsive built in. Lager range and more potential damage on top.
Build wise since it has a reload speed, your gm would probably allow you to use the ranger/gunslinger crossbow feats to get some extra power out of it. Or you can build into eldritch archer and use this for one extra meaty starting shot in combat.
Razing also makes it situationally good since it can destroy shields, structures(locked doors), and even some traps at a safe distance. To be fair, Kickback and Propulsive are deceptively similar, but the Barricade Buster is more a 25-40 ft weapon since you take the penalty at 20 ft as well. Yeah, though there are feats that can help with that, there's a level 4 ranger feat (so level 8 for a gunslinger who is multiclassing) that lets you double your range increments, I don't remember if there are other avenues for doing that, but 25-80 is much more manageable for it.... A good note. I would also add the ranger dedication also grants hunt prey which would ignore the penalties for firing in the second range increment for the target specified in hunt prey.
good to get it out of the way entirely with far shot but thought this might help at early levels.
Am definitely going to make an orc vanguard and use this gun to all its dakka means

Phalanx Piercer - I still don't see the case to use it over Composite Longbow. You can use some of the gunslinger feats for it but why would you? Gunslingers are not made for bows. If it was a crossbow, then maybe, but it's not.
Longbow has longer range + deadly d10, so damage wise it's not that different. Eldritch archer power comes from the spellstrike, the biggest part of it is spell damage, not bow damage die - and you can use longbow better as eldritch archer cause you don't have to spend your actions on reload.
As I said - I don't really see any build which would use this bow at all, even if it was a martial weapon, and it's not - it's an advanced weapon.
Maybe I'm missing something, would be glad to be corrected. I was just really looking forward to hobgoblin weapons finally and I'm a bit disappointed. So we're having hobgoblin weapons now, but who's going to use them? "I still don't see a use for it over composite longbow"
As opposed to what weapon?
Even firearms don't outperform them in raw damage. It's not really a problem of the phalanx piercer which has its well stated use in the name (break shields) but an issue of bows basically being over powered.
quick math for attacking assuming all crits.
arquebus- reload0 fatal and kickback, 2 crits= 6d12+2=min 8/max 74 damage
longbow deadly d10 reload0, 3 crits= 6d8+3d10=min 9/max 78
That said, I suggested the crossbow feats because, yes it might "looks like a bow". But aside from that it loses all effect of "bow like mechanics" in the game.
Bows up till this point- all have reload 0. arrows are never left knocked, all in the bow weapon group.
Crossbows up till this point- all have reload >0 , someone must knock a bolt in before firing, all in the bow weapon group.
Phalanx piercer- has reload 1 (>0), must knock a bolt (its ammo is bolts) in before firing, and in the bow weapon group.
I understand fully that someone might say no, but the definition of crossbow is somewhat gray in this game (see the taw launcher). So it's worth asking the gm if possible.
Elsewise, keep a longbow. have this as a situational backup because 80 ft range and razing is a massive utility. (bear in mind it does 3d10 damage against objects)
-shielded enemies-> no more shield
-enemies with cover-> no more cover
-someone closes a door-> no more door

Personally excited to see spells, I know a big complaint of the current system in my group is the lack of more modular spells (Heal, Magic Missile). I am hoping this changes. Also hoping for more fun "Divine" spells, I am just never excited when reading the current list. Honestly I am much the same I think paizo meant for clerics to be expanded by the extra spells their speicific deity gave them (which I personally love) but this left the divine list feeling somewhat weak compared to other casting traditions, especially in cantrip department. So I hope for some expansion in the divine list.
Also I hope there is some feats that benefit the boon to quickcast modular spells, something that can really bring back the warpriest swiftheal and strike feel.

I dont have the book but I heard they count as plants, so whatever people assume for leshy speech is probably applicable for Conrasu.

Beans. Didnt think that's how that worked. Ye should ask in customer service if you can make your purchase be instead subscribing just for this single book. That way you would get pdf for the same amount of money. And if you just bought it, they shouldn't have processed your purchase yet Thanks for the advice.

Without giving too much, as I want people to buy this amazing book and read it for themselves!
Kibwe is a lvl 6 Settlement with a representative council. If your running a game in Kibwe a useful detail to keep in mind when your portraying a civilian are the Pillar-Watchers. Just about everywhere in Kibwe, you can see at least one Pillar-Watcher, and these landmarks are commonly used to give directions. The example the book gives is "From the Ibex to the Lionfish" which is describing the eastern part of the Central Market, as the two Pillar-Watchers stand at the northeast and southeast of the market.
Locals also tend to make oaths in view of a pillar-watcher and name that pillar-watch to lend gravity to their promise. Example given in the book is "in Lord Pachyderm's name, I did not take your cart". Thank you this helps immensely, I have the slithering book but it leaves alot to the imagination when it comes to kibwe for better and for worse.
I am buying the book I just have to wait for the pdf to come out for the sake of my wallet. This however helps me make some fun flavor for my game until then.

Yeah, given their senses and stamina, I totally would have gone for +Con and +Wis, and, given their racial reputation, a penalty to Charisma.
A bonus to Intelligence, now that's gonna be a big change, lore-wise, and I can't wait to see what's up with that! Gnolls have never been portrayed as anything like Dwarves, innovaters in craft or metalwork or architecture, or Elves, focused on arcana, so it's definitely an interesting choice.
These are definitely not gonna be your daddy's gnolls!
I’m SO curious to see what their culture will be like - especially in regards to faith. I love to play religious characters, and I’m really hoping for something unique here. I did read that one of the 12 magic warriors was a gnoll and as a result gnolls are welcome in magambya. These racial bonuses are likely a reflection of this lore specifically. I'm guessing alot of the gnolls in Mwangi are based around Magambya, and are alot more bookish. Regardless, it will certainly be interesting. I noticed that page 99 of the Character Guide shows a gnoll in a Magaambyan library. Eyy, thats what I wanted to hear.

Paizo has reflavored ghouls to be not just about carrion, but also ancient knowledge and lore, so it could be interesting to say that an offshoot of gnolls have a similar focus on ancient lore, maybe keeping records carved in bone.
One could say they have a "hunger for knowledge"
I'll see myself out

I have a question: is there any rule stating this feat doesnt work on deeds introduced via an archetype. Like an azatariels whimsical riposte for example.

So no magic crafting for the "artificer" damn
Can't wait for the "artificers" I know I'm probably getting my hopes up for an amazing craft character but even if it's just a conceptual archetype like the scavenger I know I'll have a blast playing ot

hmmm well the next best option would be to keep wands of inflict handy. The negative energy affinity is annoying but it at least let's you make utility of negative channels and inflict spells, which can be good in later game since this means you're immune to harm spells.

Samy wrote: I just want to explicitly note that my disinterest in this book does NOT reflect a general disinterest in "Blood of" books. In fact more "Blood of" books is my single most wanted PF supplement, and I want nothing, literally nothing more than more options for my favorite races: android, lashunta, shabti, ganzi, caligni, sylph (Blood/Elements barely gave them anything!) and the aforementioned samsaran. I will buy the heck out of any book where you give subraces and alternate racial traits for any of those races. I would literally pay double the normal price for the same page count, if you give me material on those guys. Especially lashunta. I'm crazy about lashunta. Gimme more on them before you close PF1e.
Subraces (for customizing ability modifiers) and alternate racial traits (for swapping out racial traits that you won't use) are the #1 most important thing to provide for races. Spells, eh, there's thousands of spells. Traits, same thing. Magic items, ditto. We don't need race-specific spells/traits/items, we can just use the ones available to every race. But we *cannot* use the subraces/alternate racial traits available to every race. They *need* to be race-specific, there are no generic ones available to every race. So we badly need for those to be provided. I guess favored class bonuses theoretically fall in that same bracket since (other than the base hp/sp option) there are no favored class bonuses available to all races, so they also need race-specific options provided. But I'm not so desperate about that because the base hp/sp option is pretty good and I'm happy to go with it.
Please?
(Also, it would be a really kind thing if you could slip in somewhere a couple of different ways for dhampirs to combat their negative energy affinity. It's a bit of a pain to deal with.)
Some options would be an amulet of channeled life, or keep a bunch of potions of life channel on hand. Or just go with the racial option that takes away the neg energy affinity.
Can someone please tell me what is the class of the artificer archetype? I plan on buying the PDF but this is the big thing I want to know and the wait to find out this one tidbit is killing me
