Liberty's Edge

Ok. I think I might kill this one. Things have gone off the rails, and the person to blame is....me. Sorry guys. I am an idiot, and when bad things happen to stupid people, things don't go well. So, Ill kill this one,a nd might start a smaller one. Sorry again. You can leave your most angry comment, but this is square on me. You deserve better.

Liberty's Edge

Ok. Its you guys. That works. Whats the next step? Keep going or find more?

Liberty's Edge

Whose still in? I'd like to keep running, but I've also been out. It's been a crap month, but I'm still here!

Liberty's Edge

Hello everybody! How are people doing? I've been out for a bit, so who is still left. I'd like to keep going, but who still wants to play?

Liberty's Edge

With that you are off on your own. From here, you can start looking around. to check the net or the people roll diplomacy or computers. How do you want to search?

Liberty's Edge

Sorry to see you go Rollo! You're welcome back at any time.

Liberty's Edge

Thats 200 each. Not a bad little payday!

To look into the dwarfs activities, you can ask around the station with a culture or Diplomacy check. As you mention the more intricate details to the VC, they turn to you and say, Ah...that is going to be tricky. The dwarf didn't trust easy, so I honestly don't know much about him. He kept to himself. You honestly on your own on this one. He was bad about paperwork and whatever he was up to, it might have gone to his grave if it isn't found by you. Sorry!

What do you want to do next?

Liberty's Edge

As you begin to ask questions, Chiskisk says, I honestly wish I could help you. Unfortunately, I don't know much about the gangs of the station. They are a problem, so this is something I will leave to you. I can give you a 'signing bonus plus expenses' and I can recommend staying at the Mons of Sleep hotel in the central hub that also rents efficiencies. It offers discounts to Starfinders, so you can get a efficiency for 16 credits a week or a two room suit for 50 credits a week. Beyond that, its up to you to uncover why Duravor Kreel was murdered and why the gangs were involved. Here is my comm code if you have any other questions as well as a general map of the station. Any other questions I can answer now?

[ooc]If you have none,Ill move on. Otherwise, post away and Ill answer retroactively.[/b]

With the meeting over, you find yourselves 200 credits richer and have your first task from the Starfinder society. What do you want to do first?

Liberty's Edge

Ed? Are you dead? Nope, but my wife had a close friend die. That sucks, but we are also the closest people so I've been cleaning out a house for the last few weeks. Life is semiback to normal, so posts resume tomorrow. Sorry for the delay.

Liberty's Edge

As soon as you mention the dwarf is dead, the attendent snaps to attention, Oh my goodness! Please, follow me! The attendent then pushes a button and a hologram pops up indicating he will be back. You are escorted through the Lorespire to to lead them to a cluttered but clean office deep in the complex. Waiting in the office
for the PCs is Chiskisk (N host shirren), a member of the Starfinder Society’s elected leadership council, the Forum. Seated behind a polished and unadorned plastic desk, Chiskisk wears understated business clothes and is nervously flexing their antennae from side to side—a shirren expression of perplexity. Chiskisk stands and welcomes you all, offers them refreshments (filtered water and processed-protein wafers), and bids them sit down before introducing themself. At the end of the introduction, the attendent pipes up and says I bring bad news, Kreel was murdered...
Chiskisk snaps to attention and says, “I am sorry that I cannot welcome you to Absalom Station under better circumstances. I assure you that such attacks are not a daily occurrence, though I realize that is likely small comfort to you. I am pleased that none of you were seriously hurt, but I grieve for Duravor’s death. He was a valued member of the Society, and a friend. May the Lady of Graves be kind in her judgment of his soul. The shirren bows their head momentarily, then looks up, their compound eyes glittering.
What puzzles me is the reason behind the attack. Chiskisk
taps a few commands into their computer. According to the incident report just released by station security, two gangs were involved in the attack: the Downside Kings and the Level 21 Crew. Gang wars are not uncommon on the station, but they usually confine themselves to the more lawless sectors like the Puddles. It is rare for street gangs to battle openly in public areas like the docks. I cannot help but wonder whether all is as it seems. There must be a reason why those two gangs were at Docking Bay 94 at that time—the time of your arrival, coincidentally. But was it coincidence? Were you and Duravor just innocent bystanders caught in the crossfire, or might you and he have been specifically targeted? And if so, why?

My understanding is that you are interested in becoming Starfinders, and since you were witnesses to the attack, I would like to ask you to investigate the incident on behalf of the Society. Find out exactly what happened and why. It may simply be a matter of being in the wrong place at the wrong time—I have no doubt station security will rule it so—but if Duravor was murdered, I would like to find justice for my friend. At the same time, this will give you the opportunity to demonstrate your own skills and abilities and show the Society that you are worthy of the title ‘Starfinder.’ Good luck and do you have any questions?.

Liberty's Edge

Scanning the area, you don't see anyone who was involved. Now its just you and the Starfinders. Deciding that's the way tot go, you head out!

the Lorespire Complex isn't hard to find from you location located in Absalom Station’s Ring sector, is a campus with multiple buildings and rooms, though its eponymous spire is what people most associate with the Starfinder Society’s headquarters. Upon their arrival, you are greeted by a human male behind a large circular desk who rises and says Welcome to the Starfinder Society. How can I help you?

Liberty's Edge

Raial wakes up surrounded by several medics. The dwarf and the shirren look down at the women and says Are you are ok?

Rollo looks over the dwarf and doesn't find anything on him except his datapad and wallet. The datapad is locked.

Builder142 asks the medic where to head, and she says The lorespire is the headquarters of the Starfinders. It's not hard to find if you follow the information kiosks. Is that where you are headed?

Liberty's Edge

Ed's computer died, so we're back with some new fancy! Let's roll!

Liberty's Edge

The guards look at your rag tag group and says Oh, you're completely safe. We appreciate the help! We've known about these two for a while Absalom Station’s most infamous street gangs: the Downside Kings and the Level 21 Crew. We're sorry that this is your first experience on the station.

Medical techs run around start reviving you all. After they administer crack care, you revive to your maximum hitpoints.

As you look around at the hold, you see medical techs over the corpse of the dwarf. today is not going to be a good day. You've been summoned by the starfinders, but your local contact is dead. What would you like to do next?

For the game, honestly if you just write your name, init, and perception, i will make it happen. No big worries!

Liberty's Edge

We got people! Ok let's make this happen!
Kreel is tall and lanky for a dwarf, with a bristly, iron-gray beard and deep-set eyes beneath bushy eyebrows. With his patched and stained coveralls, the dwarf looks like just another dockworker, but a badge bearing the symbol of the Starfinder Society stands out on his chest. Kreel checks the computer he’s holding and looks up to scan the crowd. When he sees your group, he raises a hand in greeting and gives you a friendly smile. But, the air is suddenly filled with laser blasts as two different gangs open fire on each other. Bystanders scream and flee in terror, diving for cover or milling about frantically. Kreel freezes, paralyzed with fear!

Hello all! Let's start by adding your perception and init modifier to this sheet https://docs.google.com/document/d/1pKQNxT6MXK_GXERe87CVvxoS9LzxU26-hRINP9A LZJA/edit?usp=sharing

Liberty's Edge

Fair. I'll post in the main thread. Ill wait till tomorrow or monday

Liberty's Edge

The Okimoro has just landed in Docking Bay 94, one of scores of docking bays occupying the starlike arms that encircle Absalom Station’s equator. Final docking procedures take a few minutes, at which point the cabin attendant welcomes the shuttle’s passengers to Absalom Station, and you disembark from the Okimoro onto the floor of Docking Bay 94.
The brightly lit docks of Absalom Station are abuzz with activity as travelers bustle by, preparing to board or disembarking from starships bound to or from any of dozens of worlds. Brash and swaggering starpilots, scurrying ysoki mechanics, and expectant colonists mingle with enigmatic kasatha mystics, hard-faced asteroid miners, imposing vesk mercenaries, and more, creating a microcosm of the abundance and variety of life in the Pact Worlds. New arrivals meet friends, loved ones, or business contacts, and are whisked away into the humming activity of daily life on the vast space station. Beyond them, ground crews tend to the docked ships, and dockworkers in mechanized cargo lifters load and unload freight and baggage. A sharp tang of ozone hangs in the air—a byproduct of electrical
discharges from the docked ships—but underneath, the station’s atmosphere has a slightly used aroma. The docking bay’s deck plates thrum beneath your feet, though whether it’s from the passage of innumerable feet or the vibrations of the station’s power conduits and air recycling systems is impossible to say.
Who stepped off the ship? Who has the society called to service?

After hearing you tale in her largest ballroom due to the crowd, the baroness steps forward carrying an ornamental sword. Step forward and kneel all of you She says in her most commanding voice. As you do, she delicately knights each of you, giving you the title of Sir or Lady. the town explodes into cheers as you arise new knights of the realms. From this, she begins saying all sorts of proclimations and a festival is being planed on the fly. You are the guests of honor at a new party and holiday you have forged with your own blood, sweat, and tears. And party you do. Men and women faun over you all night as you eat until your heart is content and are given rooms in the Lady's house. In the morning, you arise, heroes to these people looking out over a new sunrise seeing only possibility in your future!

You then walk across the land heading back to town. Walking in to town, the people see you...

What do you do?

With that, you head back to the Monastery. Its a quick trip as you don't have anyone left to fight. There you bring the women to her husband who cry out each others names and run right into each other arms. They are many tears as they hug and sob deeply into each others shoulders. Kell lifts his head first and says You've given me back what I thought was lost. For that you have my eternal gratitude. You could have killed me and moved on, but you didn't. I wish I had more, but you have my and the forests blessing.

Would you like to say anything to him or move on the the town proper?
