Is that the only spell that will

Was I right that now he is classed as a zombie and that hitting him with the flat of my blade would not kill him.

Last night a party member was killed by a giant then was Animates by a necromancer we were fighting.
We then did non lethal damage to kill him, I hit him with the flat of my blade (which the DM said worked but I don't).
How do we then go about raising him if we can because as I understand it he has been tainted with undead.
We did raise dead on him but now re-reading spell don't think it would work.

Help Please.

do you have to pick which weapon this is for or is it all weapons you use.

thanks just wish they had worded the combat feats a bit better

so what your saying is that both feats can be used in the same round.

I have been told that when combat feats that says "When making a full-attack action" that this badly worded and you can stack these feats if you have more that on attack.

Example I have 2 attacks I still get my 2 attack plus can use Manyshot and
Rapid Shot and Not that I can only use one of these feats.

Deadly aim at 9th LvL what should the damage plus been and minus to hit be

thanks ad a friend look at this and we both agree problem came from the wording in description could had been better.

yes but in both descriptions of the feats they say When making a full-attack action with a bow.

if you have 2 attacks can you use both feats as the description says they are both full attack actions.

Only asking as I have looked at Treantmonk's Guide Ranger Guide and it says "When you get to 6th level you will notice that your arrows are really quite deadly. With Deadly Aim, Manyshot, and Rapid shot, you can fire 4 arrows in one round for pretty nice damage potential."

thanks just confirmed what I thought

Does it only work against GOLEMS only or can it affect any creature type with the word CONSTRUCT.

no did not mean automatically was wondering on possibility.

My DM did say I would need to get refit one on Armour as Half Orc was 6ft and my char is 4.5

Is it possible to get Armorer of Mage to resize Armour and weapons.

Nothing in core rules to say you can just wondering n other people take on this.

My Dwarf char just picked up off a set of Armour off a dead PC who was an half orc and want to wear it.
Also Large Weapon to medium weapon.

thought so any idea where is says this in the book.

Just asking as cant seem to find answer in book maybe looking in wrong place. In our game our Wizard gets a least 5 new spell which I think is wrong.

Just wondering as my char in party as only the real fighter hast to go in close combat and I keep getting Energy Drain. Is there any magic item I can use for protection.

My main point is if in the game I am doing we only seem to get exp from combat then more combat I will do.
My other problem is due to me being main fighter and a few months back when we got in a fight the Mage and cleric ran off to do another fight and then dropped a big bell on my char who by this time needed healing I died so I am about 5 weeks worth of exp behind them. Due to missing out on a lot of exp till they raised me at local town. Now after this I am 2-3 week behind the other player in group.
Our DM says when we get higher we wont notice but that is a way off for me.

I have DM in the past and would have awarded out exp to everyone as to do what did happens mean you are encouraging the old D&D mentality of its a monster kill it. Which was boring, was in a group of player years ago with this attitude and they attacked a large beetle only because they would get exp for it.

Would have been difficult as in the previous combat I have been drained of 4 levels so was on -1 on acrobatic skills.
I just thought that there were too many people in combat already for what was in the room. Why I did not go in would have if DM had told me I would loose out on exp but then I should have been given the chance to do either.

Just wondering as was in just in a part of 4 Char and 5 npc we had a combat in a 20ft x 25x room against and 3 hex monster. Also in room were 2 bed and 2 tables. The only way my char could get into fihjt would have been to go under one of the tables and as there were already 4 peple in room attacking ogre I decided not to go in room.
After combat when DM was awarding out exp I did not get any as he said I should have gone into room. Is this far and also I think he should have informed me of this when I was deciding on going into room.
Now means out o a group of 4 I am 3 weeks behind 2 char and 2 weeks behind the other party due to lase session and mainly due to them getting me killed as my char main fighter of group and Ceric never healed me ran off with mage.

Just wondering as the part I am in is doing the Rise of the Runlords Adventure path. We are taking back Fort Rannick and have no choice but to have the 5 NPC in our party, there are 4 of us plus them. They are doing a bit only because we tell them too but they are getting a share of the exp. Also as our last combat was in a room 20ft x 25ft and we were battling an Ogre who took up for spaces and there are bed and tables also in room only certain amout of us were able to fight in the room. Eben thought when there were already 4 of our group in room when I asked if my char would be able to fight in room our DM said yes but would be a hard as I would have to climb under the table to do so. I said OK well I will stay outside as I as my char thought that would be silly to do what DM said. When it cam e to giving out fro this encounter as I had not attacked the monster the DM said I was getting no exp.

thanks that helps

want it large think party had made the mistake of thinking wolf is same level s me will ask next time I see them, it just confused me when I saw how big my wolf was.

nope me a Ranger

only thing is look at first trap description it does not say you can have a reflex save but I would think you would.

think I have just figured out what you roll as made sense when I read VRMH post.

well 2 traps in question and they did not happen to my char but someone Else just want to make sure we are doing trap right. 1st trap was scythe trap on a door and second one was a trap on a chest which cut of the person fingers.
Would have thought even thought they were not spotted but set off the person should have had a reflex save especially as was the rogue.
I know first trap had a DC of 25 and attack of +15, what would the relex save roll be.

thanks reason why I asked as I have a wolf companion and had 1 week away from RP due to illness but part y plaed my char and I advanced to 8th LVL.

When the Dm put the playing figures down my wolf had gone from med to large wolf when I asked what had happened was told it was because it had made a level and the group had checked this out.

Me looking now under wolf read Starting Statistics: Size Medium,7th-Level Advancement: Size Large. I think they got it wrong.

At what level does you animal companion get a size bigger.

If you set off a trap do you get an automatic reflex save if so how do you work out what you need to roll.

Just think our DM has not read the rules properly, I have now read the rules about polymorph spells.

Dont see how a collar of animal speech will let a mage who has turned themselves into a creature will let said mage cast spells.

No I think he just decided that the crit had hit the monster in the head not that he did not want to give the party the item.

Hi character who cast this spell was not a Druid but normal Mage

Hi was in a game last week where our thief did a critical hit on the creature he was attacking and our DM decided he had got her between the eyes and bolt stuck in her magical mask.
Now she was wearing a MEDUSA MASK at the time so the bolt from his +1 light crossbow stuck into mask and destroyed it.

Would you say this is possible I would not as most fantasy games it takes a bit of hard work to break a magical item. Also he was shooting at monster not trying to break the mask which is a wondrous item worth 10,000gp.

Hiya was in a game last week where Mage cast Beast Shape 2 and became a large ape. She then said can I cast spells in this form whereas our DM said yes as she could still speak. Also said only type of creature for she might have trouble casting a spell in was if she took on the form of and animal with no arms like a bird.
For me when it say you take one the form of an ape you get its vocal cords not your own so you cannot speak.

I am right or was my DM wrong please give me your take on this spell.

Just have to say played last night and our DM denied even talking to me abut the fireball and lightning bolt spell and had one back to the boring new uses of said spells.
He even had the assiduity to call me a liar even when I reminded him of the conversation he said we might have talked about it but he could not remember what we had said wish as it was only 1 and half weeks later is very disappointing.

How you work this out depends on the DM a few of our group me inc are old gamers and had not noticed they change how the spell works. I have just talked to our DM who does not really agree with what they have done to lightning bolt and fireball also similar spells and I then reminded him that it is his world so up to him what the rules are for this world.

Human is not my char race that is Dwarf

2 people marked this as FAQ candidate.

Hi if you cast this spell on a creature that can go invisible at will would it still continue to make him be seen.

Not had this spell used in our game yet but we had an invisible creature in another part of game who could go invisibly. We managed to make part visible with a bag of flour but then when recast invisibility the dm said the flour was also gone invisible.

Would this be the same for this spell as they way I read it, it work differently and continues to outline the creature even if it re cast invisibility on itself.

Hi wondering if there were any spells that can hit a blinking creature/person of do you have to roll to see if you have missed.

I dont play it up to murderous degree I did let the goblins go and also believed they would keep their word which they then proved was not worth much. For the record killing the goblin babies and then later killing the goblins that attacked me was not going against my Alignment as I am Chaotic Good. I will still give a goblin a chance I wont chase them down fanatically and kill them unless they are trying to kill me. As to the babies what was the party supposed to do with them we would have not rescued them as we were halfway through the dungeon at the time the best if my char had not killed them we would have just left them to starve to death or join with the new goblin clan which only 1 week later had retaken Thistletop.
As a person who has also DM I think it should have taken way longer than a week for Thisletop to be repopulated and also long for the goblins to be able to even have the strength to attack Sandpoint.
As the Party is now 6th lvl even beefed up goblins do not last more than 1 or 2 hit before they die and so are not much of a challenge.
My Dwarf char is only reacting to the world he is in and don't forget this a complete different world to the one we live in with different morals and outlooks.

Got to say my character in this game is a Dwarf and yes when faced with baby goblins I did kill them all as I thought my character classed goblins a vermin. I am also playing my dwarf as humanoid but I am not HUMAN I am a completely different species and have a different out look to short lived humans.
Also earlier on I did meet some goblins and after letting them give me their word that they would leave the area and never return I let them go.
The party later had to go back to thisletop and kill said goblins as they lied to party. They attacked Sandpoint and then us the party.
The party before this when I killed the babies was "O my god you killed them, how could you." and now after we were betrayed by the goblins we had let go they were all for killing all the goblins we found.

Just like to point out that Dwarfs have a different outlook on life compared to a Human or elf what may be evil to one race is just normal for the other race.
Yes Dwarves can be racist in not likening any other race except themselves, this can also be true of some of the other races. Also is what has possibly lead to down fall of elven and dwarf races as they are usually too busy killing each other.

In the game I am playing it only too 1 week for a tribe of goblins to move in our party was 6th level by that time and although the DM beefed them up it did not take us long to kill them they were not really a challenge.
Think we will have trouble with Malfeshnekor but will wait and see,.

well would like as much ammunition as possible as my group can be argumentative when they want to be.

I tried to pick Humans but was shot down by both my fellow players and DM and main reason because if I took humans it meant I hated all Humans. One that would not bother me as I am playing a dwarf and 2 only human in party is a mage. I cannot see why I hate them if I am just good at hunting them.

Thanks for answering would have thought more than 1 person would post answer.
