Huge elementals, commoners, and a set fleshing out summon monster / nature's ally are what my wife and I are most interested in. Daughter of Urgathoa and the red mantis would also be great.

Since super rares were mentioned, I'll echo the sentiment and say, please don't go that route. The super rares coupled with the multiples of metallics (4 copper, 3 bronze), and their lately revealed case incentive of an ancient brass pretty much guaranteed we wont buy another case of wotc minis, unless they make a big point of changing their tune ahead of time. My wife and I were both incensed at super rares being these simple, useful at the table and cheap to produce figures.

I'm very glad the large dragons will be rares. The multiples of metallic larges we just received in the Icons set, were very much unwelcome and will be the first time we've sold or given away minis from a case. You guys have been doing a great job with the rarities in your recent sets. Also, I greatly appreciate these weekly preview posts, and Paizo responding to feedback on them. Wotc has a lot left to learn from you guys; heck, pretty much every other RPG company does.

Also very happy to hear how the Feiya redos are being handled. Wizkids is very behind the bar in how they handle most of their replacements compared to other miniature companies; Privateer press sent replacement parts on multiple occasions without us sending them the defective parts, and Reaper has given us a nice coupon to buy a replacement of our choice on their store. Wizkids wants me to pay shipping to send the old figure, and then wont even guarantee replaceing it with the same model.....

Now, if you'd announce some huge elemental sets, that would really make my week... We use maybe one dragon per 2+ year campaign, but see multiple huge elemental encounters....and there's always that one player who regularly transforms into one.....

2 people marked this as a favorite.

Now, if we could just get some huge elementals to round out the collection...

If less sculpts helps improve the quality of the paint jobs, I'm all for it. My fiancee and I were happy to see more animals in this set, though she is less pleased at Russian soldiers showing up as commons, with the reduced sculpt count.

My only concern is whether the Uncommon NPC faces will suffer the tragic fate of the two iconics of the last set, each of whose faces were disappointing in all three copies of each I got purchasing a case. Will there be better quality control on NPC faces for this set?

When I ran the CC adventure path, we took around 1.75 years to finish. We played in weekly 4-6 hour sessions, with a big push at the end of 8 hours Sat-Sun a few weeks.

A Serpent Skull game I play in with mostly the same group has been going on for closing on 3 years now, but play time was closer to 2.5 hours a week for over a year there, which was too short to really get much done. Lately its been 3-4 hours a week, with occasional 8 hour extra session.

For session speed, I'd limit yourself to 4 players. Even 1 extra player makes a big difference in how long combat takes at higher levels. Having players preroll attacks and damage also helps a lot.

For GM prep time, I found Herolab a huge time saver for mid to high level enemies, for quickly defining monster feats, spells, abilities.

I've been very impressed by the Pathfinder Battles huges since RotR. That said, I'd prefer to see the huge line expand earlier with more commonly used huge monsters. Dragons are cool, but extremely rare in games my girlfriend and I run. Huge elementals, on the other hand, have shown up multiple times in every campaign one of us has run, both as foes and potential summons or shapechanges. And, they are one of the huge omissions from the pawns. If you made a set with all four huge elementals, I'd buy at least three sets. Niche creatures like froghemoth on the other hand, while cool and Paizo specific, aren't really a priority for us.
