Female Tiefling Warpriest
![]() Apologies, I meant to post last night, but was way too tired. Had a busy day. Thanks for the recap. Would just like to add the following, before we head out to the statue, it won't change any actions taken, but it's something I feel needs to be said. As the group is discussing the mystery surrounding the fire, Zy feels the need to chime in. "While it might be odd that the warden's wife is not normally present at the prison, there is a number of purely mundane reasons for her to be there. Maybe she brought him lunch, or perhaps he forgot something important at home." ![]()

"We aren't sure, but we think it's a possibility, yes." The Sarenite replies. "Hmm, that's interesting that you haven't seen them since the Doctor passed. Perhaps there's a connection there, though I haven't the faintest idea what that could be." Zy muses. Finally, she gets to the point of her visit. "I would like to assist with your patrols, at least for tonight. I don't if the others would be willing to join us, but you can count on my being there." ![]()

![]() Gibs Humble Abode "One of the Dawnflower's core tenets is forgiveness and redemption. Plus, I know that however misguided it may have been, your actions and words came from a good place. Wanting to protect your home and it's people. I can definitely respect that." The young warpriest compliments the old 'warrior'. "One of my friends that I am here with believes they might be part of a cult he is tracking. If so, they might actually be rather dangerous." She pauses, thinking for a few moments. "Right now, let's keep that possibility between us. It's not a fact that they are, and we don't need to scare people over a rumor." She lets that sink in before continuing. "Do they show up every night?" ![]()
Female Tiefling Warpriest
![]() "It would appear that we were both in the wrong, but your apology is accepted. I had come here to inquire about the posting you made, regarding needing help at night?" Her tail twitches involuntarily at the thought of some late night excitement. Just a reminder, she's wearing armor, her scimitar is strapped to her waist, and she has a longbow and quiver on her back. Just in case Gibs is a sexist and doesn't think a woman belongs in a battle. ![]()

![]() The tiefling makes her way to Gibs' house, making sure to pull out her silver holy of Sarenrae as she goes. "Greetings good sir Gibs. I don't believe we were properly introduced, as we got off on the wrong foot. My name is Zyblina of House Arvanxi, and I am a warrior priestess in service to the goddess Sarenrae. Apologies for my earlier behavior, the death of my friend was still fresh and sore." She says politely and with a respectful nod of her head, upon reaching the house of old adventurer. ![]()

![]() Almost before Shanda fully enters the house, Zy is right next to her, grabbin a sandwich, which she immediately begins to devour. "My apologies, I forgot to eat lunch. Am starving." She says between bites. She accompanies Bastian and any others to the temple, but pauses when she spots the wanted poster. "Hmm. That's new. I'm gonna go inquire, in case that's something related to that cult." ![]()

Then, I think we should ask the body if it worked in the prison. That's a fairly straight forward question, and can help us learn more via other means later. For the head, unsure, since we don't know who it belonged to. Maybe if it was a prisoner or if it was murdered? (perhaps it was decapitated after it died) ![]()

Alrighty, did we bring any remains from the fire wraith? If so, we can ask that if it worked in the prison. We **think** it was possibly/probably an executioner, yes? Who did the head and body belong to? That can help us narrow down what to ask. ![]()
Female Tiefling Warpriest
![]() Are the head and the body from the same corpse? If so, we can't really ask overly different questions since they share the same knowledge. I think the following would be okay to start: 1(head): Were you a prisoner(or guard, if we're more sure about that)? 2(body): Were you murdered? Or something similar about how they died, but that can be answered yes/no. We can then follow up via both Speak with Dead and proper records research. ![]()
Female Tiefling Warpriest
![]() Spirit Planchette. Do *not* use within Harrowstone, lol. unsure what type we have. "I agree with the tiny dragon. Doing proper research into what happened within the prison can hopefully shed some light as to why there are so many restless undead. However, I meant it before, I am *starving* and while the cookies were yummy, I need a real meal." ![]()
Female Tiefling Warpriest
![]() As the warpriest follows the others, she once more calls upon the power of her deity, and empowers her scimitar with the might of the heavens. Standard action to active her Holy Strike ability. This is allow her weapon to deal 1d6 against evil creatures and counts as good for DR. It lasts 1 min, so she'll wait till she's near the doorway. Crossing into the room, Zy bolsters her defenses before attacking one of the skeletons. Spending another point of Fervor(2/4) to cast Shield of Faith. AC is now 17. 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22 for 1d6 + 4 + 1d6 ⇒ (4) + 4 + (2) = 10 Unsure of positioning. If she can easily move to flank with somebody she will, otherwise, she'll attack whichever skeleton she can. ![]()

![]() Zy continues to fiddle with the holy symbols, trying unsuccessfully to untangle them. "Do we have a means to determine if any of these objects are actually evil? I currently do not, but should we return tomorrow, I will make sure I do." She suggests as they discuss what to do with the items in the vault. Can anybody cast or otherwise use Detect Evil? Then she hears Cole shout something about an evil furnace, and she sighs in exasperation. She sets the holy symbols down, and follows the others to wherever the fire obsessed half-orc went. ![]()
Female Tiefling Warpriest
![]() As she enters the vault, Zy can sense the innate wrongness of the room. She subconsciously grips her holy symbol, and holds her flame up high to better illuminate things. She'll do this even the light level is fairly bright, kinda as a way to 'ward off' the evil feeling of the room. She again casts her minor spell to sense if there's any magic in the items present. Once she does so, she'll go and gather up the discarded holy symbols, though she'll wait till they leave to untangle them. ![]()
Female Tiefling Warpriest
![]() "Neat trick" Zyblina says in reply to the body rising out of the hole via some unseen force. She then mutters a minor prayer to her goddess, opening her eyes to the potential mystical energies of the found objects. Casting Detect Magic. She doesn't have Arcana or Spellcraft, so she's just trying to determine if they are magical or not. ![]()

I have confusion. You said under 50% hits, but your above post makes it *seem* like I missed, despite you rolling a 37 for me. Also, I thought spells hit an incorporeal foe normally, but did half damage(aside from force effects)? ![]()
Female Tiefling Warpriest
![]() I hope Cole doesn't get too excited by this post, lol Seeing her allies struggle to harm their undead enemy, Zyblina offers some advice. "If anybody has any holy water, that would be effective against this wraith." She then quickly casts a spell on herself. "Lady Luck grant me your favor to strike true!" Spending one use of Fervor to cast Divine Favor as a swift action, which thanks to the Fate's Favored trait, raised the bonus to +2 The tiefling then draws upon her heritage to summon forth a flame to smite her foe. Standard action, casting Produce Flame via my racial SLA. It lasts for 4 mins ![]()
Female Tiefling Warpriest
![]() I have darkvision 60ft, can I see our foe? "By the Dawnflower's light, I grant my allies extra might! Zy says, as she casts Bless on the group. It last for 2 minutes. ![]()
Female Tiefling Warpriest
![]() Zyblina, scimitar in hand, moves towards the front of the formation. Her burnished bronze chain mail glints in the light of Teofila's coin, a bit of a stark contrast to the blue and gold robes of Sarenrae she wears underneath. Said robes clash even more with her obviously fiendish appearance: her ashen grey skin, bright red hair and eyes that glow like flame even in the dark, give off the distinct impression of fire. Her long tail swishes in anticipation of any impending fight. ![]()
