![]() In the blog above, this stood out to me: "While **Highhelm wasn’t the first Sky Citadel,** it has proven itself arguably the most important and certainly the most influential." Wasn't the first Sky Citadel? I picked up the World Guide recently, reading about Five Kings Mountains the other night and, I see this on p.125, third sentence under the header "Five Kings Mountains," "Thus they built Highhelm, the **first** and greatest of their Sky Citadels..." So - is this an intentional canon change, making Highhelm no longer the **first** sky citadel? ![]()
![]() Paizo, Given that D0 and D1 are print on demand at drivethrurpg, could you please add this module to the print on demand offerings there? I just received my print on demand of D0 and D1 and am quite happy, but I want this one in print at drivethrurpg, and Hungry Are the Dead as well. Thanks for reading! ![]()
![]() Has anyone made a Warpriest build using the Starknife? A little feat-starved, but go human, all your levels count as fighter levels for specialization/combat feats, and an x3 crit at higher levels scales nicely. Improved Crit at 9th, Improved Precise Shot, etc. Archetype to taste, and probably go Dex to damage, though Guided Hand (Wis to hit) opens SAD possibilities... ![]()
![]() James, Will we get either a list of key trade routes or a couple of map pages (for avistan and garund) with directional arrows and names of goods? I'm hoping to get at least a macro idea of traded goods/routes for an Andoran campaign I'm working on, and would like to know a little more than 'lumber goes from Falcon's Hollow to Augustana and Almas'... (I have Guide to DMV, Andoran CS, etc.) Thanks, Zanzibaran P.S. I vote for the almanac too. Even with the CS and Guide to DMV, there's a vast amount of NPC daily life I'll have to invent session by session and track for consistency... James Jacobs wrote:

![]() Paizo, and open letter to all: Second Darkness. The priority should be to fix up the old OGL APs first, starting with Second Darkness (since Curse is already on schedule) and then go after the PFRPG ones which have the right combination of "sold out + fan-loved + have the most new rules not incorporated." Riddleport = Mos Eisley of Golarion, which easily provides solid reasons for both rogues/smugglers/etc (profit/tragic loss motives) and Dudley Dorights (save people/defeat evil) to come together. First Darkness/Earthfall is one of the most unique and interesting things about Golarion's history. If enough gamers agree with the above statement, I'd hope that the combination of Drow + that story element is more than enough to get "mental buy-in" to relaunch it. Possibly Reynolds can outdo himself on the anniversary edition cover art, just as the writers will outdo themselves in refining this gem, and the anniversary edition will sell like gangbusters? Thanks, Zardan ![]()
![]() The 7 player rule bootstraps the (sometimes) only experienced gamer willing to GM and get PFS off the ground in a new game store, so that maybe 1-2 of the new players can rise to GM capability too, and there's enough flexibility to handle fluctuations in the number of local players. I've been that 7th player, and been very grateful for it, after a year-plus of not gaming at all due to work/school/life. Show mercy (7 players) and pull people in. Now, if Paizo decides that keeping mods from being "too easy" (seating tables of 7) is more important than keeping players happy, THEN AT LEAST: Specifically allow tables of 7 for tiers 1-2 and tier 1, because most newbies want to "Play Play Play" and will QUIT PFS WITHOUT TRYING IT EVER AGAIN if the PFS crowd won't accept them. First impressions are almost everything. We (RPGs) aren't so popular that the world is beating a path to our doorstep. We cannot afford to be more than minimally restrictive in any aspect of table seating that relates to new players. Period. Table minimum 3, Table max 7 at all Tiers (or at least for Tiers 1-2 and 1). Be a good businessman, a good doorman, a good greeter and do everything you can within PFS rules to NOT TURN NEW PLAYERS AWAY. Thank you for reading. |
