I have a question about this product is the Naatic necromancer a base class, an archetype, a PrC, or something else?

Im sure this has been answered but...I have a question regarding a cleric channel energy at 1st level. The RAW states:
"Creatures that take damage from channeled energy receive a Will save to halve the damage. The DC of this save is equal to 10 + 1/2 the cleric's level + the cleric's Charisma modifier."

My questions is at 1st level would you use 1 for the cleric level or 0 for the cleric level when calculating the DC.

For example, a 1st level cleric with a charisma score of 10 goes to channel energy against the undead. Is the save DC equal to 10 or 11?

I was wondering if this was strictly a monster supplement; or if it included information for jungle drow player characters (alternate racial traits, feats, character traits)?

I just received Order #886940 in the mail today; however when I opened it I received the wrong item among its contents. I had ordered the autographed edition of "Elder Evils;" however, I received the book "Exemplars of Evils." I'm wondering what the process is for returning "Exemplars of Evil" which I did not order and receiving "Elder Evils" which I did order. Please Advise!

I'm looking for a PrC that turns changes a character's size to Large. I know of three PrC's that modify the character's size catagory to Large: Waker of the Beast from Dragon 296, Thrall to Kostchtchie from Dragon 345, and the Branch of Zivilyn from Bestiary of Krynn. However, none of these PrC are exactly what I am looking for in terms of my character. Any help would be great!

I'm looking for feats or domains that grant a character water breathing. I know about the ocean domain, and Abyss Bound soul from FC I.

Finally, what happens if you multiclass out of Druid or Ranger after working the ritual, but before it comes into effect?
Uh... that's such an excellent question. I would play it that you're out of luck on the ability developing until you take enough druid or ranger levels...

Ok Mr. McArtor, I have a follow-up to Filch's question about multiclassing Druid and/or Ranger after performing the ritual but before it comes into effect for your plant companion. Suppose said Druid or Ranger takes the Natural Bond Feat from Complete Adventurer where you essentially add 3 to your effective druid level for the purpose of determining....special abilities, and other bonuses that your animal companion recieves. This bonus can never make your effective druid level exceed your character level.

Now I'm going to argue that the text of the article clearly states, "Instead of a more powerful plant companion, though, you gain the ability to evolve the one you have endowing it with new abilities. It seems to me if you take the Natural Bond feat and multiclass out of druid or ranger, and you had a plant companion that was waiting for a "new ability"; then as long as the 3 levels the feat grants you was enough time [i.e. levels] for the ability to mature your plant companion would gain said "ability."

Ok, I'd love to hear you're comments on this one, and if your persuaded by my argument there just might be a cookie waiting for you at GenCon 2008!

I'm looking for a feat that adds either (or both) Sense Motive or Diplomacy as class for the character. I'm pretty sure the Noble Born Feat adds Diplomacy as a class skill. I also know there is the Skill Knowledge feat from Unearthed Arcana, but like Anakin Skywalker in Revenge of the Sith, I want more!

I have a player who believes while Lightning Bolt begins at your fingertips, because the Range of the spell is listed at 120 feet you have a 120 foot line from your fingertips before the spell goes off and delivers the 120 foot long bolt. I explained to the player the spell clearly states the bolt begins at your fingertips and the Range and Area of the the spell are listed the same at 120 feet because essentially you are blasting a 120 foot line from yourself with electrical damage. Since I was the DM my ruling at the table stood, however I told the player I would see if anyone out there was using lightning bolt the way he viewed it, or if most people were adjudicating the spell the way I viewed it. Everyone's comments are welcome because the more opinions the more well rounded the argument will be one way or the other.

I'm planning on using the Favored spawn of Kyuss for an upcoming gaming session but I have one question about the template. What is the Reflex Save DC for the Infested Skin (Su)? It says an attacker that strikes a favored spawn with an unarmed strike, natural weapon, or light weapon must make a Reflex save or a Kyuss worm is transfered to the attackers body, however no DC for the save is given for the ability. Any clarification on the matter would be greatly appreciated!

I'm looking for a list of PrC's with fast healing. Off thw top of my head I can think of the Sangehirn, the Soldier of Light, the Verdant Lord, and the Forest Master. If you can think of some others and the source they are in please list them.

I remember reading in an adventure, I'm pretty sure it was in Dungeon, about a magic cask or barrel used to store blood to keep it fresh. It may have even been the Vampires of Waterdeep Adventures. If anyone can remember the issue and the name of the item I would greatly appraciate it!

I have a question regarding the Extra Arms of the Diopsid. The text says the Diopsids extra limbs allow it to use weapons one size larger without penalty but the Diopsid must have it's secondary arms free to do to gain this benefit. My question is if a Diopsid is wielding a large two handed weapon such as a great sword; how many arms is he using to wield it without penalty? My impression is the Diopsid would have to use all four of his arms to wield the weapon without penalty, but I just want to make sure that impression is right.

Thanks in Advance!

They say a picture is worth a thousand words so here is my interpretation of Wayne Reynolds Goblins.

Blazim Geya was a typical goblin who was fond of food and fire. Geya was part of a star crossed goblin raiding party who met their end at the hands of an elite group of human warriors. Geya survived the battle and was indoctrinated into the warrior culture of his captors. The men soon found Geya was a natural warrior who had some skill with a blazing skillet and a knack for crude or humorous songs. Geya began to serve his comrades as the unit's field chef; where he mastered the cleaver and nurtured his love for burning things.

Eventually, Geya's unit returned to the Free City; and just in time to enjoy the festivities of the Champion's Games. Geya caught the performance of a legendary chef who was performing a culinary show from a stall outside the arena. Geya noticed how the chef was able to captivate the audience with his skill like the gladiators in the arena. Geya sought out the chef after his performance seeking an apprenticeship. The chef took the young goblin to task, asking him to whip up his best dish for the gather spectators. Geya gave the crowd his flaming frog fritters and a new Adamantine Chef was born.

Warning!!! I want everyone to bear with me I'm writing this at the end of my overnight shift and I have none of the sources in front of me so the details may be vague and or a bit incoherent.

Ok, my question involves what happens when a character when receives a bonus domain from a PrC that he already possesses? Does the granted ability from the domain double?

My example and my dillemma are one in the same. I have a cleric who wants to take the Earth prestige class from Dragon #314's article CHANNELING THE ELEMENTS Four Elemental Prestige Classes for four core classes By Spencer Kornhaber. The class is intended for druids but the article does state that clerics may qualify for the class. At first level of the PrC the character gains access to the Earth Domain, but for a variety of reasons the character already has the domain, so my question is does he can any additional benefits from this PrC class feature such as an additional 3 uses of the Rebuke Air creature ability of the Earth Domain? I'm almost positive I read that would be the case in some source...Complete Divine, 3.5FAQS, somewhere... Any help on the official response would be greatly appreciated!

I'm wondering what the status of this order is, my sister resubscribed me for xmas and I have the confirmation email:

Dear Kathleen,

Thank you for placing Paizo Order #686864, submitted Saturday, November
25, 2006 at 12:08 PM (US/Eastern).

The order contains the following items:
1 x Dragon 12-Issue Subscription (US) @ 37.95 = $37.95
1 x Dungeon 12-Issue Subscription (US) @ 37.95 = $37.95

Subtotal (2 Items): $75.90
-----------------------------------
Order Total: $75.90

However, I had to go out and buy Dragon 351 because I never recieved it, and now my friend recieved 352 several days ago and mine has still not been delivered. I figured it would take some time to process the order and that why I did not Recieve Dragon 351, but I'm thinking I should have 352 by now. Can you give me an update on the status of this order?

Thanks in Advance,

John Tanzini

Postscript: I did recieve Dungeon 143, but like I said I want to make sure my subscriptions are current.

I fell in love with the Ebon Maw way back when he first appeared in Dragon #312, in fact the article about him in that magazine is in alot of ways a Demonomicon Article in itself. The one thing the article is missing is a Thrall to Turaglas prestige class; which is ashame because the reason why I am posting this stems from a character concept I had for the Savage Tides. Old Orcus and Demogorgon and their cultist imprisoned the poor Ebon Maw, and I thought it make perfect sense for a crazed cultist of the Ebon Maw to want to spoil a scheme of Demogorgon. So what do you say guys can we get a Demonomicon about him, or at least a Demonomicon addendum with the Thrall to Ebon Maw prestige class, maybe you could put it in class acts?

I'm hoping for some clarification on the Lich Transformation class feature of the Dread Necromancer. The class feature states, "when a dread necromancer attains 20th level, she undergoes a hideous transformation and becomes a lich." The text further goes on to say in PLAYING A DREAD NECROMANCER, "If you career continues as planned, you will survive forever as a lich." I read these passages and assumed this meant you gained all the benefits of the Lich Template on page 167 of the Monster Manual, including the Turn Resistance, Immunities to cold, electricity, and polymorph, the +2 ability increases to Int, Wis, Cha etc. However, it later says in the description of Lich Transformation, "Her type changes to undead and she gains all the traits of the undead(see page 317 of the Monster Manual)." If you read the rules as written there it seems that you don't become a true "Lich" you just become an undead with some watered down Lich abilities. I have to know sage does the Dread Necromancer recieve the Lich Template from page 167 of the Monster Manual at 20th level, or does he just become an undead masquerading as a lich at 20th level.

Anyone seen any Errata on this or an official word?

I'd like to see the Maug updated to 3.5 as a PC race, maybe with some new feats and definately some new grafts. I like the idea of Maugs being counterparts and rivals to the Warforged in a campaign.

’m looking for help with a build for Durge from the Star Wars Clone Wars. I want to have as low of a LA/ECL as possible. Here is what I have come up wit so far please give me some feedback and tell me what you think. I used Human (LA+0) as my base race for the extra feat and skill points. I then applied the Artic Racial Variant Template (LA+0) from Dragon #306, which provided me with a boost to my Con score. Next I added the Half-Zombie Template (LA+1) from Dragon #313. Half Zombie provided me with a boost to Str, immunities to Fear, Confusion, and Energy Drain and the bonus feats Endurance, Diehard, and most importantly Toughness (I’ll share why Toughness is so important in a moment. Finally, I added the Feral Creature Template (LA+1) from Savage Species. Feral Creature gave me bonuses to Str, Con, Movement and Natural Armor, as well as Darkvision and Fast Healing which go up as my HD increase. The fast healing is a big part of making the character well like Durge.

Now we have to talk about feats. The First Feat I chose was the regional feat Troll Blooded from Dragon #319. The feat gives my Durge Regeneration 1 (and has the preq of the feat Toughness which the Half Zombie Template gave me) but has a Nasty tendency to Fatigue him. I overcome the Fatigue by burning my extra/bonus human feat on the ancestor feat Tireless from Dragon #318. Tireless grants me immunity to Fatigue. Finally, you have to give Durge that “sixth sense” quality he seemed to possess on the Gungan Moon where he was able to sense the presence of the people behind him, and I found the Earth Sense feat from Races of Stone works great for this ability when taken with your 3rd lvl feat. I have Durge Multiclassing Fighter and Barbarian and the end result is a very combat savvy, high hit point, fighting machine, with fast healing and regeneration (which we know work in conjunction together thanks to the sidebar in Dragon #307) all for a Level Adjustment of +2.

I’m always tinkering with the build, and I would really like to utilize something other than the Feral Creature Template, but you can’t top its fast healing for the LA. I mean when you hit 12 HD you have fast healing 5!! The only other Templates that come close are Shadow Creature (LA+2) which has Fast Healing 2, and Half Troll (LA +4) which has Fast Healing 5. I would love to work in Goliath with its powerful build, and may have to switch my base race. I’m looking for any ideas to improve the build I have, any templates or low ECL races I may have missed with Fast Healing or Regeneration, and finally, what people think of the build I have.

Scarab Sages

I'm a big fan of the Bounty Hunter Durge from the Clone Wars in Star Wars. I'm trying to come up with a build for him in D&D, and I rthink I have come close but I'm always looking for help. I'm trying to keep the initial LA low so that I can have as many class levels as possible. Here is what I have. I started with Human(LA+0) as my base race b/c of the extra feat and skills and them applied the Artic Racial Variant Template(LA+0) from Dragon #306 to get a boost to my Con score. From there I added the Half Zombie Template(LA+1) from Dragon #313(My Favorite Issue of All Time) to get a boost to strength as well as immunuties to fear, confusion, and energy drain; and thats not mentioning the bonus feats of endurance, diehard, and most importantly toughness (you'll see why toughness in important in a second). Finally, I added the Feral Creature Template(LA+1) from Savage Species, which gave me a nice boost to Str, Con, Natural Armor, Movement, Dark Vision and yes Fast Healing which is very important to being Durge like. Now for the Feats, and this is where it gets fun ;D. I took the regional feat Troll Blooded from Dragon #319 which gave Durge Regeneration 1,(Toughness was a prereq and Half Zombie gave me that feat!)but also fatigues him; so with my human bonus/extra feat I took the ancestor feat Tireless from Dragon #318 which grants me an immunity to fatigue. Durge now has hefty Str and Con scores and the ability to Regenerate and Fast Heal (which we know work together thanks to the sidebar in Dragon #307) all for two levels. Throw in the Earth Sense Feat from Races of Stone to give Durge that "sixth sense" he seemed to have during the battle on the Gungan Moon, and multiclass Fighter and Barbarian and you have one hell of a Regenerating/Fast Healing Beast at high lvls (remember at 12 lvl you will have Fast Healing 5 from Feral Creature Template) all for a +2LA. I am always looking to improve the build so if anyone has any suggestions please help. I don't think Feral Creature quite Captures the feel of Durge but it has dynamite fast healing which is a must for a Durge character. The only Alternatives were the Shadow Creature Template(LA+2) that has Fast Healing 2, and the Half-Troll(LA+4) that has fast healing 5. I think Goliath could be a cool base Race b/c of the powerful build, but I couldn't tinker it to be just right. Please give me your ideas and feedback everyone(and may the force be with us).

I was wondering if the Marshal considers all knowledge skills as Class Skills; because under his list of Class Skills it just says Knowledge (Int). (I realize all knowledge skills would have to have ranks taken in them individually.) I'm just curious.

To Clarify my question was more in regards to the fact that you have different limits of control between the undead you animate with the "Animate Dead" spell, undead you control with the "Control Undead" spell and undead you Command and control via the Rebuke/Command class ability of the cleric. I want to make sure everything comes together so that a 13th lvl cleric could effectively control 91 HD worth of Undead.

I am planning on playing a Dread Necromancer from Heroes of Horror. They are kinda like a cross between Sorcerer and Clreic and can cast both arcane and divine spells. They have a restricted spell list and they also get an Advanced Learning ability every few levels which allows them to add one new spell from the school of necromancy to their spell list. The class does not recieve the Desecrate spell which is an Evocation (Evil) spell and therefor I can't add it to my list by using the Advanced Learning class ability. I was wondering if I could uses the "Extra Spell" feat on page 80 of the "Complete Arcane" to add Desecrate to my spell list. The feat states, "For classes such as wizard tat have more options for learning spells, Extra Spell is generally used to learn a specific spell that the character lacks access too and would be unable to reasearch," which is the boat I am clearly in. I'm just wondering what you guys think, or am I reading something wrong. I mean you are burning a feat to get one spell so it is a pretty costly exchange so it seems balanced to me.
