When it says "move 30 feet", it does not mention obstacles either. Does that mean you can move through 30 feet of stone? Does a waterbender dissolve into a puddle inside the prison cell and appear 30 feet outside with a splash and a slash? I mean, it doesn't SAY you can't use it as a get-out-of-jail-free card, but can you? It seems more likely, and in keeping with the later "ride the blast" utility, that there needs to be line-of-sight, maybe allowing for partial cover? Maybe you can pass through a window, but not though a wall?

Along these lines, I am looking at a half-orc Mutagenic Mauler (Brawler) with an orc skull ram: Use unarmed combat and brawler's fury for close attacks, but keep the ram on hand to threaten a 10' circle.

Two kineticist questions with large implications:
-Does Water Manipulator work on ice as well as water?
-Does a Mobile Blast with zero burn (i.e. semi-permanent) eventually freeze water inside it?

For water manipulator, I am not interested in its first use, which mirrors control water, just the "or move an amount of water equal to 1/1,000th the amount controlled by that spell to a different location in range" part.

For Mobile Blast, once you reach 8th level, you can create an all-day square of cold doing 2d6 cold damage a round within a hex. Would water in that hex freeze?

Now comes the part you have all been waiting for: what if that hex was filled with ice-trays? Could I drop 6000 lbs of arbitrarily shaped ice cubes / hail stones? Amusingly, this comes very close to the 4th level spell Ice storm, if I drop 6000 1lb hailstones over a 20' radius circle (1200 sq.ft). It just requires a lot of setup at a fixed location (or say, on a ship).
