Male Fiendish Vampire Orc Blood Noble 20/Fiendish Exemplar 20(gestalt)/Mageknight(Martial) 10/Stalker(Brutal Slayer) 10(gestalt)

I am absolutely interested in continuing! Considering how crazy it's been lately for me as well, including dealing with having our sewer line replaced in our house suddenly, I totes get 'not having the current bandwidth' as mentioned in discord.

That said, I am waiting/hoping to get a reply to my questions here. If we gotta roll some dice/cast spells/use powers to get answers, let us know! I feel like this group definitely has info gathering covered via a variety of methods:

The warchief easily sees through the spider like woman's deception, and at first he is filled with a violent rage. Not only at how she dared to try and dupe him, but also for 'infecting' him with some sort of insect. So great is his anger that he takes an involuntary step towards her, and his hand starts to raise in order to strike down this insolent whelp.

However, she begins to quickly explain, and while it didn't completely excuse her attempt at lying, it did cool his temper some. "This, *implant*, it can bolster our capabilities, and improve our chances of success in combating the End-Bringer? If what you say is true, then for now, you are forgiven. However, do not seek to deceive me ever again, or I will crush you like the bug you resemble, and your kind will truly be no more. I am no pawn for you to play with, *inscet*." He states with a clear edge to his tone, as he lowers his hand.

I generally don't like to roll Intimidate vs my fellow PCs, but Vol has a +75. That should make him suitably menacing, even without the dice.

Bloodscream grins at the mention of what guards the Mantle. "Ah, there are Kaiju guardians, this is why I was summoned. What do we know of the forces arrayed against us? How many Kaiju guard this isle? Is there an actual army present as well? What are these 'remnant machines' you spoke of?"

I echo the question about if we've heard of/know about the Gorvet, and what, if anything, we can learn about them before we depart.

Volgroruth was in the middle of training with the Hellfire Wolves, his elite guard, when the summons from Arinolus came. It had been a little over a decade since he was last called, as it was not often that the one above all requested the fiendish orc warlord. When he was, it usually meant things were fairly dire.

After wrapping up the day's session, he dispatched the Wolves back to the Black Citadel to inform Bane of his Champion's departure. Willing Slaughterfang to his hand from where it rested nearby, Vol cut a rift in the air, and stepped through to the Cynosure just in time to receive the end of the telepathic message from the First Flame. I approved that with Almonihah, for the record.

"So, it is likely to be war then? A fitting purpose for one such as myself to be summoned. I am Warchief Volgroruth Bloodscream, Divine Champion of Bane, Lord of Tyranny. I am generally brought in as a last resort."

Volgroruth positively towers over the vast majority of mere mortals. He stands taller than even most giants, with colossal bat-like wings sprouting from his back. He wears no armor or even a shirt, but instead it appears that there are hunks of metal, barbed wire, and fragments of rusted weapons embedded in his jet black flesh. His huge chest, some twenty feet wide, massive arms, and the rest of his exposed skin(aside from his face) is covered in eldritch tattoos that glow a faint, sickly green color. His eyes smolder a dark red, and a pair of horns curl around each side of his head. Bone spikes protrude from his jaw, and two small tusks jut up from his mouth.

A palpable sense of dread and doom surrounds the fel orc, and he wields a gigantic, vicious looking axe. A belt of petrified skulls adorns his waist, depicting the heads of humans, elves, dwarves, and even a trio of dragons. Black sapphires have been inserted into the eye sockets, and arcane runes have been carved into the bone. Around his neck hangs an enormous black gauntlet, studded with emeralds. Atop his brow sits a twisted metal crown, bejeweled with bloodstones.

Apologies for not posting yet. I spent most of yesterday sleeping on and off, and just didn't have the creative energy. I will try and catch up tonight and reply asap.

I gotta rework my feats a bit, so I can Advanced Study a bunch, and add a lot more maneuvers known, lol

Male Fiendish Vampire Orc Blood Noble 20/Fiendish Exemplar 20(gestalt)/Mageknight(Martial) 10/Stalker(Brutal Slayer) 10(gestalt)

The most obvious role of Vol is that of the tank:

He has the highest AC of the group(unbuffed) by a decent amount.

He has a couple of elemental immunities, but surprisingly for somebody who is so heckin big and who has such a low dex, Reflex is actually his best save, lol.

He also has evasion and stalwart to help shrug off attacks and effects, along with a solid spell resistance.

I believe he's got the highest HP of the group as well.

However, he's also got a ton of combat tricks:

He can give himself several combat feats, and he counts as a 20th level fighter for pre-reqs.

He can enchant his axe(and other weapons) as needed.

He can channel negative energy, and has the Negative Energy Aura epic feat.

He also has a distingration, hellfire, and sonic boom attack. (These are three different abilities, lol).

He can make a 20ft radius AoE trip attack, but it counts as a Bull Rush. He has a huge bonus to that combat maneuver.

Every one his Path of War maneuvers is from the Black Seraph discipline. As such, he has a massive intimidate.

Finally,

I'm not actually sure he can die. Like, at all. He has these three abilities and I have no idea how they interact:

Archfiend (Su and Sp): At 20th level, the fiendish exemplar is elevated from her traditional hierarchy to become the personal servant of a deity, ethos, or fiendish lord. The exemplar can cast commune as an at will spell like ability using her class level as her caster level. In addition, the fiendish exemplar can only be killed while on a single selected plane, usually whichever Lower Plane is connected to her fiendish ancestry or master, but the Material Plane, an Elemental Plane, or any other option is potentially available at GM discretion. If the exemplar is killed on any other plane, she returns to life on the selected plane after 2d4 days (as the true resurrection spell). However, any gear the fiendish exemplar possessed is left behind on her old body. If the fiendish exemplar is killed while on the selected plane, she permanently dies, but can be resurrected as normal.

Legendary Vampire (Su): The vanguard can only be permanently destroyed when damaged with a confirmed critical hit or a coup de grace attack performed with a magical wooden piercing weapon possessing the holy special weapon enhancement.

Undying (Su): As long as the vanguard has at least 1 point of cruor in her pool, she is not helpless or unconscious when at negative hit points. She is staggered while at negative hit points, and takes 1 point of damage whenever she takes a standard action. At 8th level, she no longer takes damage when taking a standard action when at negative hit points. At 16th level, she can expend 1 point of cruor to ignore the staggered condition for 1 round when at negative hit points. If a 20th level vanguard has this ability and would have been destroyed due to hit point damage, she is rendered helpless and unconscious in spite of this ability until she is healed to at least 0 hit points.

Reckless posted the following in recruitment:

The First Flame has agreed to join us.

Additionally, Warchief Bloodscream has cleared things up and will be joining us after all.

I am going to need a few days to finish my PC. This weekend was fairly busy for me, and yesterday(Sun, the 23rd) was my mom's birthday. I hope to be all done by Wed or so(barring anything out of the ordinary).

Added in a description, which I might expand on if chosen.

I would say Volgroruth is about 85% done. The main things I need to do are finish picking his feats(and then adding them alphabetically to his sheet), and spending the rest of his gold.

There's some other bits and pieces that I gotta do, but those are the big ones left.

A little bit about my PC's role:

He's very much a tank, with one of the highest ACs of the group, and the most HP, without buffs. He also solid defensive abilities, like a high SR/DR, some immunities, etc.

Oh, and he's virtually unkillable. In fact, I don't even know if he actually be killed, period. He has some interesting class abilities that I'm unsure how they work together.

However, he can also deal some serious damage with his absolutely *massive* butchering axe(it's currently a colossal+ weapon, lol).

He has some neat tricks too, like an AoE bull rush, which can also trip foes, and a Hulk style sonic thunderclap. He has also has Path of War maneuvers, which are all from the Black Seraph discipline.

As for his backstory, he's the divine champion of Bane, the Forgotten Realms god of tyranny. Assuming Reckless doesn't mind some 'AU fanfic', Volgroruth lead an army of fiendish races known as the Scourged Legion in conquering much of main land Faerun. Or at the very least, the rough Moonsea/Cormanthor area.

He's working for Arinolus mostly due to the whole 'can't dominate the multiverse if it's wiped out'. Plus, while he is evil, he's very much a noble bad guy. Very akin to Doctor Doom that way.

Things he's accomplished while helping Arinolus:

He's definitely fought and destroyed a couple of Harbingers(maybe lesser ones?). If those are too powerful, then perhaps a few high ranking generals or something.

He also probably did a 'last stand' sort of maneuver, holding off a horde of baddies while others got people to safety. Course, he didn't die, but the idea is the same, lol.

Obviously, a WIP. I'm not sure I'll include all of his class features in his alias, but I might make a separate one just for them, lol
