There is also a new spell from arcane anthology called tough crowd that, along with some other pretty decent effects, increases dcs to intimidate you by 4.

yeah, you're not likely gonna find a lot of direct ways to accomplish what you want through a feat or a class ability (or at least any I'm aware of), and most ways that will take a lot of time.

The best way I can think of is to talk to your gm about this. I know I'd be down with eventually letting my characters in some of my games work towards gaining some kind of demon template, or at least be treated as one for feats and effects, if they put the time in and worked towards it.

In all honesty, this is likely the best way to go about it anyway, as finding some obscure secret or cheese way of doing this then springing this on your dm is more likely to annoy him than accomplish anything productive (not that I'm claiming that is what you're doing).

Most control feats I can think of usually want you in the thick of combat, so i don't know how well that will work with a bard. Debuff/buff feats could be a cool idea however. I'm personally a fan of with bards the arcane strike->riving strike combo. Another option I like, especially when I'm an orc, is bullying blow or dazzling display. In fact, if he has the feats, he could even combine the two ideas, making enemies really hurt (not to mention the other casters very happy due to the -4 to saves the enemies are taking), all while still being able to sing as well!

As for the weapon, spear should be fine, but he could always spend a trait on heirloom weapon if there is a specific martial reach weapon that catches his eye (just make sure he keeps good care of that weapon!). I wouldn't spend a feat for a weapon though.

Besides the point Imbicatus brought up, it debatably wouldn't work at all: Antagonize says that the effect ends when the target would be prevented from attacking you, which sanctuary most certainly does. Keep in mind, even if it works with sanctuary, it's still once per day per target, targets get saves to overcome it, they must have 4 int or higher, understand your language, and be effected by mind effecting.

I'd suggest picking one or two battle tricks to implant, ones you put on yourself for bad situations (mask misery immediately comes to mind) and getting as many useful but situational ones that you can put on when neccessary, such as see in darkness and mesmeric pantomime. Btw playing a spirit walker myself right now in a home game, lots of fun.
