Answer to 1. You have two different claw attacks that will be resolved with two attacks. Since you do not have just one Primary attack you will be adding just your straight strenght score. If you want only one Primary attack take Slam in place that will give you one attack roll with the Strenght bonus x 1 1/2. Answer for 2. Augment summoning would not work quite as well with a Sythesist summoner since you can't be using you elidion and use your summoning special ability. Unless you are planning on casting the Summon Monster Series actual spell. For feat selection typically you are going front line fighter so having fighting type of feats, like power attack, maybe even arcane strike for some more damage, and treat your attacks as magic.
I would look towards the defensive items myself. You have your magical weapon taken care of with your Blackblade. Magical set of armor, ring of protection, amulet of natural protection, that would take 5000+ of your gold right there. Then look towards maybe a as said before by other folks a few scrolls that you can get scribed into your spell books so you can be better prepared.
Casting Spells while in Eilodon form as Synthesist. If a spell has a somantic compent, and the Eilodon form that you are merged with does not have have limbs evolution can you still cast? I am guessing no? How about a spell that has a long duration that is currently cast upon the summoner that summons his eilodon, such as bulls strength? Will that strength bonus carry over to the Eilodon or will you have to re cast or have it re cast upon you? Magic items? The Eilodon no longer have to worry about purchasing a seperate magic items for it since it now can use all items that were on the summoner. I like this, but this but it seems a bit... powerful.
A bow Paladin works very well for a group that already has a primary fighter type. I played one, not very high levels, but to just about level 5. I was able to play the decent healer with a wand of cure light wounds. Took the remove fatigue for my lay on hands for our Barbarian. It worked out pretty well. I went through a lot of charges on that wand, but it was a fun option to play. Especially when throwing out that Smite Evil against the single enemy. The one thing nice about the Paladin now is that the spellcasting is off your charisma now instead of wisdom. So you can actually use wisdom as a "dump" stat, along with Intelligence if need be. |
