Afternoon Me'mori.
I took a look at your game thread, and it looks like your group is very close to where my Second Darkness AP ended at. I'm currently in two campaigns with Zane right now and I would be able to consistently post. It looks like the group could use a divine class of some sort, and you also lack trapfinding, so I am going to apply with an Oracle with the Seeker archetype. This would give the group access to divine spells and trapfinding as well as some support. I'll flesh out some ideas, and follow up. It also looks like the group is now at 4th level. Did I miss anything?

Edit: I'll roll for HP now.

Ok, so with the Avg + 1 in effect the rolls are 5, 5, 6

Not sure, but lowlight and darkvision for all should be enough to overcome?

Now this is interesting. Its more of a natual cavern then a man-made tunnel... Good for a smuggler though. Peering into the darkness, and into the underground pool Vhalas cautiously keeps his sword at the ready, knowing this entire area could be infested with troglodytes. With one sword he motions for the rest of the group to spread out, himself taking point.

Crouching down over the hidden trap-door Vhalas eases one of his short swords out of its sheath. With nimble dexterous fingers he slides the door open wih one hand keeping the short sword ready to strike with the other. Ok, look sharp Vhalas.

Everyone still here? I don't want to railroad us into exploring the trapdoor, but I'm ready to keep going.

Drider, how would you feel about me picking up the Scout archetype? It would allow me to Sneak Attack during a charge. I think it would dovetail nicely with me going fighter next level.

Casually running a coin over his knuckles Vhalas stares off into the distance dredging up everything he can remember or has heard of Troglodyte's. "Well, first off they stink to high hell, but you already know that. Me and Lucky would occasionally stumble into a clutch of them when we would work smuggler tunnels. They are stupid, ugly and smelly, but they won't go down without a fight. Think of a half-man, half lizard and you wouldn't be far off the mark. They are good at hiding though, and if they think they can kill you, they won't hesitate. Basically what I'm saying is that they are evil to the marrow, and you shouldn't feel bad about putting them down. Any other questions?" As if to emphasize the point Vhalas dances the coin off his knuckles and into the air, before slamming it down on the Kwava's desk. "But seriously guys, I feel like a candle that’s been burned on both ends. I say we get some rest. Restock any supplies we need in the morning and then check it out."
(Male Half-Elf Rogue 4 AC 18 / HP 34/34 / F +5 R +9 W +4 / Init. +10 / Perc. +10)
I diden't specifically mention them. but I imange that I would have. So I would let it slide.
Standing across the office from Kwava Vhalas noddingly agrees. "Yea, what Den said Wasp. Smelled like Troggs down there. Considering what the contract said, I have a hard time beliving that Saul diden't know about the hidden bolt hole. I say we go check it out. Either we find where he went, or we might find a lead that will point us in the right direction. Either way this is a breach of our security and we need to check it out."
(Male Half-Elf Rogue 4 AC 18 / HP 34/34 / F +5 R +9 W +4 / Init. +10 / Perc. +10)
Well, well, well, what do we have here?
Kneeling down to the hidden trap door Vhalas sweeps away the sand inspecting it. The others will want to know about this. Carefully, Vhalas sweeps the sand back onto the trapdoor to hide it. Rishing Vhalas goes to find his companions. Once he gathers everyone up into Kwava’s office he lets them know that he has found a hidden trapdoor but wanted to gather everyone before he went further.
(Male Half-Elf Rogue 4 AC 18 / HP 34/34 / F +5 R +9 W +4 / Init. +10 / Perc. +10)
Huh... what is that smell down here? Sure, this is a fighting pit and all, but it seems out of place... Searching in the octahedron Vhalas studys the floor and walls looking for anything out of place.

"The Shin'Rakorath have been the proud owner of the Goblin now for over three months. We purchased her early in Abadius. This must be the drop for "D.A."... whoever or whatever that is. Saul's income reports have been regular and profitable, but I suppose that if we did a full inventory of this safe we'd find otherwise. As for this money, our pockets are deep. I'm open to ideas about we use it for it's current "intended purpose", the problem would be knowing the time and place associated."
"Well Kwava, if we are going to be your "field agents" I would love to use some of that jink to put together an emergency kit. Now that Talia won't be joining us, I don't fancy having to sew up my own guts after a tumble if you catch the skinny. Some potions, or perhaps a wand. Those firebombs were a mite useful too. Roughly speaking at 1,250 gold. Well that could save a lot of heartache in the right hands. I bet Wasp could go talk to the Silken Veil and see if they could scare us some sacraments. If you don't mind that is Wasp. As for the rest of the joint, yea Den, start on bottom and work our way up. It's going to be a long nights slog, but we may as well get started. Might want to stick to pairs just to be safe."

That's a date right there, so I'm thinking this is the amount that he skimmed for the month of Pharast. Kwava, what day did you buy the goblin on?"

"So if i'm reading this right, it looks like you got sold a fake? Or at least there are two different copy's of the deed? Pretty common grift... sell the guy a fake deed to a place that you never owned in the first place. But Saul owned the place, so that dosen't work. I think the key part is that clause"
ownership of the Gold Goblin does not in turn grant ownership of any smuggler’s tunnels that might exist underneath the property
Can't say I'm surprised about the smuggler tunnels. The guy that I used to work with, Lucky claimed that Korvosa was riddled with them, and that's a classier city then this dump. If the Gold Goblin did have some sort of a connection to smugglers tunnels, I think our best bet would be to search the second sublevel, since that would minimize the amount of work needed to excavate them. Here's the thing though. Pretty much everything is legal in Riddleport, what in the hell could be bad enough that you would have to smuggle it in?"

With the cool eye of a professional Vhalas surveys the vault, as a smith might examine a fine blade. "Interesting... I knew the goblin brought in some jink, but I had no idea we were talking this much." And if the Shin'Rakorath have the resources to buy it flat out, they are bigger then I ever though. "This is going to take a while. Wasp, can you give me some light? Dendarial, i'll be calling for tools, just hand them forward as I ask for them. Ziyad, I might need a second set of hands." Kneeling down in front of the hole that has been inlaid into the corner of the vault, Vhalas begins to slowly and methodically exam it.

After studiously examining the container for any secondary triggers, Vhalas withdraws from his pack a set of picks, a chisel, a rubber hammer and several other tools, as well as a horn like object he uses to listen to the clicking of the dials as they move. "I hope you don't mind that I talk while I do this... for some reason it helps me concentrate. A Lot of people take lock cracking for granted, but there's a art to it. I guess its a bit like coaxing a confession from a unwilling participant, Wasp or following tracks that your mark tried to obscure Den... A lock is made to keep something hidden and in the dark. And there are many different types of locks, about as many as their are people. Each one has a trigger... a weakness if you will. Something you can exploit..."

As Vhalas leaves the back room of the bar turned impromptu interrogation room, he leans in towards Wasp and whispers something in her ear.
Sauntering away like a cat with a cannery Vhalas flashes Talia a smile. "Good to see you back on your feet. Wasp got some useful information from Saul's old employees, but I'll leave it up to her to go into detail. You said Kwava wants to talk to us? Fine, lets see what he has to say."

"Good point Ziyad, go for the most dangerous targets first. What have your arcane study told you about beasts like that? And Wasp" Vhalas gives her a feral smile. "I couldn't agree with you more. Kwava, what are we looking at? How many people were past employees of the goblin when Saul owned it? Who do we need to be concerned with? Are there any hidden bolt-holes you were able to find, or secret exits? You know the place better then we do. What intel can you give us." Assuming you can be trusted at all. We still don't know who this Ziphras is... it could be a red herring to throw us off. Better stay on your toes mate...

"So much for your operational security Kwava." Looking hard at the elf Vhalas grimly chuckles. "Look, I get that your the boss but do you really think you can buy someone off and tell him to move out of his own casino? You would need some Starstone size balls and you would still have to have serious collateral on him." Vhalas pauses for a moment, and you can allmost hear the gear's clicking away in his skull. "You must have had some way to ensure that he couldn't or wouldn't be able to take action against you. At least that's what I would do... Regardless, this Ziphras must have something better. I say we take plan b. We go back to the Goblin rolling in hard. We put down anyone who resists and then let Wasp have some alone time with each of them. Someone will talk... they always do."
And so begins the slide towards evil...

Vhalas shadows behind the group, keeping his short swords out on the ready and eye's constantly watching the groups perimeter. When they find Talia seemingly unconscious with a red mark on her face, Vhalas stony exterior momentary shows a sign of rage and concern before his mask is back up.
"Better start speaking Kwava, I refused to believe that you though Saul was on the up and up. Personally, I think your a little too cagey for that. Whats going on here? Is this a play for the gold goblin or something more?"
(Male Half-Elf Rogue 4 AC 18 / HP 34/34 / F +5 R +9 W +4 / Init. +10 / Perc. +10)
Following behind Dendarial, Vhalas slides up the stairs, drawing a short sword and positioning himself next to one of the human thugs. "What happened to Talia, Kwava? And how did you get sliced?"

Fading to black as Vhalas crosses his arms and watches Wasp produce several needles, knifes and a small hatchet from her backpack...
As the were-rat writhes on the ground in pain, Vhalas steps forward as Wasp wipes her tools on the ground and steps away from the half conscious thug.
"Alright Wasp, I'll take it from here. Go tell the others that were done. I'll meet you in a moment." Sliding towards the man, Vhalas retrieves two cigarettes from his belt pouch, lighting one he takes a quick drag before using the embers to light the second, then he offers it to the were-rat. "Look mate, I take no joy in this I'll tell you that much now. And for the record its better that I do this then she does. Trust me on that. Thief to thief, you know there was only one way this could have gone down. I don't like it, but its either you or me, and on another day the roles could have been reversed. Still, scoundrels honor, you got a wife? kid? Let me know now and i'll do my best to pass on a message. You got my word on that once my job here is done." Vhalas waits for a response. "Right then, I'll make it happen. You see Pharasma, tell her I did you a solid when I could have left you to the bugs. Savvy?"
Sliding out his Silver Shortsword in a Fluid Motion Vhalas runs it into the were-rats jugular. As the blood sprays out onto the ground, Vhalas stays by the lycanthropes side until he stops shaking. Done with the grim deed, he rises, wiping the blood from his sword off onto the ground and walks back to the group. As he flicks the rest of the cigarette over his shoulder he turns to Dendarial. "Yes, I felt the same way since we arrived here. Don't get me wrong, but after years of living around people that will as soon put a knife in your back as spit on you, well.. you tend to get wary. There's something off about Kwava, on the other hand he diden't have to throw that fire onto the swarm... I don't trust him either way right now. As soon as we get back. We need to have a very pointed conversation with Saul.
Looking around at the group and piling their gear together and checking it over Vhalas leans in towards Ziyad "When we get back, I would love to here were you picked up the cant.
Lets get one charge of cure light wounds used on the were-rat. I can use magic device if necessary to make it work. For the gear, would you all mind if I took a set of the Masterwork Picks? I only have a regular set, I'll put my old ones into the group. I would also recommend we keep the two tangle foot bags. If we sell off all of the regular gear when we get back it will be a split of 193.5 gold per person.
