Sorry, busy few days.

I think coming back but not reincarnated is what Verix and his men would want.

Fair enough. I do not mind how Verix is brought back. He will come back happy to deal with Runcible and work together to some end. If he comes back by Resurrection it would be hilarious but I'd prefer to stay human so I do not lose my stats to a different race. If Runcible would be open to a trip through hell to buddy cop it back out, that would also be awesome.

I did mean to reply with my intent to be cool with whatever, but I am kinda having a pretty s*@! time at the moment and got side tracked when my part of the action died. So sorry about that. I'll keep up with the OOC stuff better.

Not sitting here waiting for a plot hook, sitting here dead. Runcible can bring Verix back, if he likes. But I am not trying to influence the story line any more, not while I am dead. Verix was pro-active throughout the first part, made his own moves, did his own thing and didn't just sit around or let Runcible dictate what he would do, with his weapon. Verix leveled a Golem, decided to treat with Lucielle, got lucky with Runcible then got beaten by Harron. Then got god hammered. Pretty sure that Verix had a key role in every major thing that happened in the last part, right up until his death. Then I stopped. My character is dead, how he comes back is not up to me.

If people want to bring me back, I would be glad. Whatever way it happens. If you want to bring me back, great. If people don't I wont be bitter. I'll just move on. I had fun, I liked the character, but I really have no input right now, till I have either been brought back or banished to the abyss.

Verix men will collect his body and weaponry and will march out of the way of this and off the field.

Yeah I didn't take in to effect Meta-magic effects. Not that 9 less d6 makes me any less dead.

I wasn't sure as it usually tails off at 5d6 and can't go above that, but he is a deity-esq character so it makes sense.

None of my buffs sustain my life or bring my AC above the confirmation.

Wow... A 1 as my last dice roll for the game...

Verix topples over backwards and hits the dirt.

EDIT -88

EDIT- Before I die... Spellcraft-1d20 + 10 ⇒ (1) + 10 = 11

Four men, dressed in furs, their faces obscured by masks, step away from their hiding places and move towards the Emperor, leveling their longbows, and drawing fletching to ears, before releasing, as one.

Point-Blank + Favoured Enemy Bonus1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 131d8 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6

Point-Blank + Favoured Enemy Bonus1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 191d8 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8

Point-Blank + Favoured Enemy Bonus1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 131d8 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12

Point-Blank + Favoured Enemy Bonus1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 281d8 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

Confirm-1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 222d8 + 10 ⇒ (2, 4) + 10 = 16

So he would be Flat-footed, right? I don't see the 13's hitting anyway.

Hammer1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Anvil1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
Scouts1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
Corvin1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11

:-/

"Not me..." Verix replies to the Lieutenant, quietly.

Verix glances away from his father, to the Lieutenant, before beginning to chuckle softly. As the old man continues his approach, the chuckle builds to a loud slightly manic laugh. "Puts us all in a troubling place...? Oh, indeed."

"The two you would not accept...?" Verix laughs softly, glancing over at Harron. "Oh dear me, father, did you bring Harron and I here to be slaughtered like lambs?"

Verix glanced over at the tall, plate clad brother. "Harron did you hear that? Father expected us to die. Or... er... die again, sorry I forgot your condition. But here we are, disappointing him again!"

Uggghhh... Oh goody!

Drink another potion.

Verix stands straighter now, no longer curling around the deep slashing wounds to his abdomen, but still favoring the puncture wound that did most of the damage. He nods his thanks to Lucielle, before speaking. "I disagree, but only slightly. Obtaining a throne can sometimes be easy, it is holding it that is the hard part then." He nodded to Lucielle, before shrugging.

"And Harron, what of you? What do you think now?"

He turned to the Lieutenant then. "I understood his belief, I even agree with it slightly, but at the end of the day, I will always believe that a man or woman should put it on their own backs, not on the backs of others. Do I think him commanding men in battle is wrong? No. Do I think him setting up a catapult to try bully us or bury us was wrong? That would be a yes. But it was his tactic and I respect him for it. Now. Before, it angered me. And if it happened again, I would kill him, given the chance. I don't like being toyed with. Though I am unlikely to fall for a ploy such as that again!"

"Surrender my intentions for the throne? Not likely. Is your Master surrendering his? I think not. I imagine even now that conniving old bastard is still plotting on how to sit his devilish arse on the throne. But for now, I will take no further part in the day, much as your Master will not." Verix called over one of the men mounted on a horse, before handing him the pistols and pointing at the Lieutenant.

"See that your Master gets his weapons back. And tell him we should treat, without weapons, in a null zone sometime. I will honor that."

With that he turns to Lucielle. "So dear sister, what do you think?"

"Morals mean little to a man when he is dead. Besides I did not include my men, I did not even ask for their assistance, my Lieutenant healed me without my request. Do I regret it, no? Did I ask for it? Also no!"

Technically true. Verix never indicated he wanted healing. Corvin did it. I chose to do it as a player but the Lieutenant doesn't know that. ;)

Verix nods at Harron, before straightening and speaking. "Of course, the field will never be truly level. We are two different beasts in this game."

"A challenge?" Verix began to laugh wildly, shaking his head, and bending over, bleeding quite heavily. "I underestimated you Harron. I gave you your field of battle and let you get the drop on me. I played in to your hands, due to over cockiness. I will not make the same mistake again brother."

:P Hey that is all I hit, literally. I haven't hit since the first shot of this fight. Haha

F$@# me... Even with an AC of 31 I only need a 12 to hit and I have hit once? I think I can complain about dice now.

Fort-1d20 + 18 ⇒ (16) + 18 = 34

Verix withdraws 80 ft back behind his men who draw their longspears.

GM:
Verix men set their lonspears in readied actions to attack those who charge them. Brace

EDIT- Also... Gonna heal for 2d6 and signal Golem to defend

2d6 ⇒ (3, 2) = 5

+4 Natural armor without a spell or an amulet still seems crazy high for his level but okay.

Runcible has put elegantly, what I was trying to say.

5,650gp on a suit of armor? Damn... And +7 Natural Armor? The buff is +2. Does he have a class feature that gives him Nat Arm +5 Flat? Because you can only have one enhancement bonus to Nat Arm? So you cant have like two spells that are enhancement, or a spell and an amulet, they won't stack. Okay. If it is right it is right.

Okay so he has barkskin. So then he doesn't have an amulet of natural armor or any other of the skin esq spells backing him as enhancements don't stack... Hmm. Okay.

Fort-1d20 + 18 ⇒ (6) + 18 = 24

Wait... 30 missed? Seriously...? Something is off here. Your AC is like crazy high... Is it right? No offense it just seems ludicrous for a 5th level character with 10,000 to spend.

Verix takes the damage and steps back, puling out some of the potions from earlier and downing one. I don't know what they were

Corvin moves forward again and trys a spell.

Concentrate-1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11

So I have hit you twice and done 73 damage, right? Was any of it resisted?

You can make a check for each new piece of information. Verix and Corvin made one cold, before they had information, beyond him on a horse charging. Then Verix made a second with the fear aura. Corvin hadn't. If I can't cool. I was just playing it how I have seen it played, sorry. I was treating Harron like a monster. Sorry about that.

Verix managed to dodge out of the way of the attack, before stepping back a step and taking a moment to focus, trying to cast a spell.

Concentration-1d20 + 13 ⇒ (3) + 13 = 16

Combat Casting

Ughhh...

Verix does not manage to cast his spell.

Corvin will make his second K Religion check on Harron.1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10

Seriously...?

Oh I know, I used up all my dice luck critting the Golem and poor Runcible. Oh well... :P PM'ed you my health.

Verix growls in frustration before lashing out with his weapon again, puttig more force behind it.

1d20 + 19 ⇒ (11) + 19 = 302d6 + 27 ⇒ (4, 1) + 27 = 32

Man if I could roll above an 11 that would be great

Corvin focuses once more and casts the same spell again.

Concentrate-1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21

2d8 + 4 ⇒ (6, 8) + 4 = 18

With his spell cast, Corvin moves back away from the fight, staying behind the line to chant his support for his Master.

After the Aura effect Verix will try K Religion again-1d20 + 10 ⇒ (1) + 10 = 11

EDIT- F+~@ me... the fight took so long to start I forgot my buffs... Harron is taking -1 (not -2) on attacks. The last one missed. Except it didn't. :P Too many buffs and debuffs not enough time.

Hey no one is helping me deal damage, and Harron got his Lieutenant to buff him. One little heal spell isn't breaking my belief. I nearly entered my Cav in. That would be breaking it.

I don't but I am going to have my Lieutenant act...

Seeing his Masters spell falter, Corvin pushes forward, staying out of reach of the enemy divine, and laying a hand on his masters back, channeling a pulse of energy.

Concentration-1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23

Same spell as before and...

2d8 + 4 ⇒ (3, 6) + 4 = 13

Scratch the Cav

What is the Concentration check for? An aura or something? Just wondering if I have something to counteract it. Anyway...

1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14

Verix lashes out with his hammer, sending it spinning towards Harrons face once again.

1d20 + 19 ⇒ (9) + 19 = 282d6 + 27 ⇒ (4, 5) + 27 = 36

That is totally cool.

Verix focuses his power and cast a spell, without taking his hands off of his weapon.

Spellcraft DC 17:
Cure Moderate Wounds.

2d8 + 5 ⇒ (8, 7) + 5 = 20

Harron is undead right? I know that from his description and all? Can I know anything about him?

Knowledge (Religion)-1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18

I'm going to wait for some information and for the crit confirm or not, before I take my standard and move.

EDITI forgot I had rolled initiative for him too so Corvin will also do a Knowledge Religion Check.[/ooc]

Knowledge Religion-1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15

Which you can totally do. ;)

Aah. I have never played League. And sadly I didn't confirm it seems.

An AC higher than 26? This might be a problem. Also what is the ruling on when I trip the Horse? Are you prone too? Do you make an Acrobatics check to land on your feet? DM?

Is that an evil laugh? I am confused. Am I missing a plot item that is about to murder me? Did I tempt fate?

Uhm.... I didn't check after I had posted... I am cooking dinner... But yeah apparently I did... Verix IS destined to become Emperor it seems...

Confirm-1d20 + 19 ⇒ (5) + 19 = 244d6 + 52 ⇒ (4, 2, 3, 3) + 52 = 64

With the -2AC from the charge does that Confirm?

EDIT- I had my attack bonus wrong in both my attacks, I forgot I am fully buffed so fixed that...

Verix takes the lance in the chest and stumbles backwards, driven by the force of the blow. He stands there, huffing heavily, staring at Harron and his horse, frowning, before lashing out, aiming to tear the horse out from underneath him.

Readied Action Trip the Horse-1d20 + 14 ⇒ (4) + 14 = 18

With a deep breath, he steels himself, before exhaling and calling on his power to heal himself.

Swift Action Heal 2d6-2d6 ⇒ (1, 6) = 7

Verix stepped in, lashing out with his Earthbreaker at Harron with all of his might, swinging up at the mans face.

Buffed up Attack-1d20 + 19 ⇒ (20) + 19 = 392d6 + 26 ⇒ (5, 6) + 26 = 37

Verix takes a moment to study the Undead Horse, seeking to learn its weaknesses.

Knowledge Religion1d20 + 10 ⇒ (1) + 10 = 11

Okay. Your move.

GM:
Verix will also make some Spellcraft checks, for the buffs, if they happen in plain sight.

Spellcraft 1-1d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13
Spellcraft 2-1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27
Spellcraft 3-1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27

I don't know how many you need but there is three to start.

Also, while Harron mounts his horse, can Verix prepare an action to attempt a trip on the horse, using his Knock-down Stance, if Harron charges him? He probably can't but I said I would ask. This is waaay more his field of battle than mine. Haha

And the Golems first round Order is to focus all of his attacks on the Mount.

Corvin Initiative-1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11

I'll join the full contingent roll then...

Hammer-1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16
Scouts-1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
Anvil-1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

Also I didn't realize there as a full contingent of Cavalry so...

When Harrons Cavalry roll on to the field, the group of men carrying Greataxes, known as Verix Hammer, look to Corvin, who nods. As one they dart back to the gate of the fortress and return, mounted on armored stallions, greataxes slung on their backs and battleaxes now in their place.

Initiative?

Verix set up outide the Fortress yeah, I assumed you wanted open area.

GM:
When the Shield carrying members of Verix honor guard hit the staging area, they are going to take formation in a rough semi circle, facing outwards, shields and battleaxes at the ready. Flanking them, three to a side, are those armed with Greataxes, who stand a little ahead.

Corvin is at the front of the semi circle, but behind the lines. He will cast Detect Magic and make a Spellcraft check to see if he can identify the Magic he is seeing either as effects or in being cast. I'll make on now and if you need others just tell me.

Spellcraft-1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12

Corvin's support, those four armed with bows, dressed in furs, their faces covered, will attempt to remain hidden from the enemy, till they need to strike.

Stealth-1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17

When Verix men hit the area they fan out in to a rough semi circle, shields raised, battleaxes at the ready. Flanking them, on either side, stand men carrying greataxes, all howling and pawing the ground in a clear battle stance. Corvin, the Lieutenant, moves to the front of the Semi circle, staying behind the line, but begins to cast a spell, holding his hands up high.

Spellcraft DC 10:
Corvin is casting Detect Magic

Perception DC 17:
Four men spread out, hiding behind whatever they can, remaining within bowshot of the altercation, lest they need to help with a quick getaway.

Verix steps out in front of them all, standing there beside the Golem, his black lacquered armor and furs making him appear to be a tall bristling mystical being of darkness, his skin appearing to wrinkle, crack and desiccate in the sun, taking on a deathly pallor.

I will take 6 rounds to get down and out to where I was at the end of my other post.

GM:
I thought there was more than one way down to the ground floor. Verix would take the path down he had taken up, as I assume everyone took their own way up right? If not then I can put up the Spoilers.

Well with the introduction of a mount, I might be happier right here but sure, we could do that. ;)

"Full strength? That sounds good to me. Yes, lets."

GM ONLY-Preparations:
Depending on the amount of time I have while walking down to the ground floor, taking Corvin and the Golem with me, Verix will buff thusly-
.
1st- Cast Bless / Fervor Bane
2nd- Blessing - Destructive Attacks / Fervor Bull Strength
3rd- Blessing - From the Grave.

If I have 4 rounds to get down, I'll change that to 1-Cast Bless / Fervor Bane. 2-Cast Bears Endurance. 3-Blessing (1). 4-Blessing (2).

With the boost from Corvin and with the Golem (Who if I could get the stats for, that'd be great, thanks), I should be pretty good.

Verix stared across at Harron from the other side of their area, watching him, ready for anything. Beside him stands the Golem and behind them, encircled by his warriors, stands Corvin, his Lieutenant, chanting.

Initiative-1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17

Effects GM ONLY:

W.O.A 18 Rounds
S.F 23 Rounds
M.W 38 Rounds
B+ 46 Rounds
B- 47 Rounds
B.E 48 Rounds
D.A 8 Rounds
F.T.G 9 Rounds

"Are you ready?"

Verix would be no more than 60-70 foot from Harron.

Verix orders his men to begin filing out of the room, all Bar Corvin who waits at the door in, before turning to his Siblings. "So what happens now?" He lay a hand on the Golem and patted it lightly on the side, frowning between the two.

"Harron, I assume it to be a fight between you and I?"

I am just waiting to see how the other two want to descend the stairs, if they want to talk while doing it or what.
