Hoping our GM is ok. It's a long while to be gone.

Varak would watch and wait for the sign to continue on. He'd glance around the prison cells, curious of such a room and its horrid state. Why were those two hiding in here? Could it have just been where the ugly creatures felt most at home or were they acting as sentrys. He'd cast another spell to detect magical aura's and giving the room a quick scan, just to be sure there wasn't any hidden items.

Varak as well would charge in with his team, looking to claw at one of these horrid creatures. He had no desire to taste their horrid flesh and blood once again.

With no more spells, Varak would only nod and prepare for their entry. He was only able to stick close to his allies and be ready for whatever might have been lurking just on the other side of that door.

Male Lizardfolk Male; Lawful Good; Warpriest Lv 2; HP: 17/20; AC: 21 (Tch: 12|Flat: 19); CMB: 4 CMD: 16; F:5 R:5 W:5; Init: 4; Perc: +3; Speed: 20; Swim: 15; Active Condition: Scaly Touch

Varak would grant Ren another Blessing of Holy Strikes, patting her shoulder and giving the best smile a lizardfolk could without lips, which really only looked like baring his teeth. He figured she'd understand though and made his way up the stairs to the alter. Ones there, he would bring his hand to his jaws, biting at the side just enough to draw a little blood before holding it out and squeezing, letting his allies strike down what would appear.

"I agree, Miss Chrona, I am not pleased at the idea either. But it is the pool itself, not the water. This must be done to forever deny any from ever using it again. We can not risk some poor soul activating it as well to die at the hands of these creatures," he'd respond to his companion. He truly agreed with the fiery beauty, but could not allow such a portal to continue existing as a festering wound on this land.

"Despite it's horrid nature, there are no holy spells or rituals that can cleanse this evil. At least sadly none I am capable of casting," he began with a slow shake of his head. A fire would stir behind his eyes though as despite not having the means to destroy the pool itself, there was still a way to do good. "Your other option would work though. If we spawn and slay the creatures, the pool will be dispelled and no one will be able to trigger it for any wicked purpose."

With his wits more returned to him, Varak would slowly shake his head at the offer of the tiny dagger. Instead, his eyes would be focused on the nefarious pool, wondering if more of the foul creatures hid waiting to come forth. He would take the time to cast detect magic, searching for a means to destroy or disenchant the pool around them before studying the pool itself for a way to properly destroy it.

Akron had startled Varak upon first finding the frightened war priest, warning at first a hiss from Varak's more animalistic instincts. He quickly caught himself, embarrassed but taking his companions hand in order to rise from his low, crouched position.

"I...apologize. Thank you for finding me. The demon latched onto some...rather uncomfortable memories of mine,"" he said, grateful to his companion as he straightened himself out.

Whelp, I has a fear lol

Varak would flinch, head shaking furiously as his head was filled with the terrifying shriek. At first, he sought to resist it, but slowly the smaller creatures cry would dig into his mind, tuggerong memories of a far more frieghtening cry that lurked there. He could almost swear the red scaled beast that skated his clan was hidden somewhere in this room, the fear in him bubbling to the surface and causing him to try and hide much as he had when he was younger. It wasn't until his friend slated the winged demon that Varak could finally shake off his fear, his terrifying memories returning to their tomb and leaving the priest attempting to catch his breath.

With then creature on the ground vanquished by their powerful teammate, Varak would move towards Ren. Wanting to aid in her attacks against the tiny flying villain, the reptile priest would call for a holy blessing, allowing the bow to strike down all evil.

Warpriest Blessing Holy Strike. 1 minute is treated as good and deals 1d6 damage extra not sure, if anyone else has a ranged weapon I can do this again.

Calling out a blessing from his deity, Varak would channel protective energies into his own body. With the warding of protection now against all evil, Varak would move forward, intending to. Lock his enemy on the staircase from approaching any closer and allowing his allies to focus down the flying enemy that had summon it.

Protection against Evil cast as final spell

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15

Varak would watch the small creature shrieking at the group's invasion into what she had called her 'mother's sanctum'. As another one of those earlier creatures birthed from the pool though, as well as still thinking of the unholy water, he knew she needed to be stopped.

Varak would only glare at the sight of the unholy water. He wished to see the basin and water destroyed, the foul liquid an affront to everything he and his religion stood for. For now though he'd hold off, not wanting to set off a trap or alert an enemy to their presence. He would return though to cleanse this place after.

Not the most stealthy of his group, but happy to take the lead and be the target for the group to safely counter attack, Varak would press on out in the open. Keeping his eyes peeled for enemies, he'd re-apply his scale blessing for whatever enemies might be lurking.

"Wicked creatures. It seems this place is home to some truly vile things other than goblins," the reptile priest would remark, looking over the strange creatures. He had no idea what they were, but hoped they wouldn't encounter more.

Believing his earlier spell to have likely faded, Varak would again call to his deity. He would continue to channel the holy power, looking to guide his allies in both accuracy and bravery.

"Three paths, each possibly leading to danger if those earlier creatures were any hint. Whether we travel as a group or split up, we'll need to tred cautiously all the same," Varak offered to the group. His yellow eyes lingered on the closed door to his left, wary that perhaps their enemies hid just beyond it.

Charging forth to join his allies in combat, and empowered by his blessing, Varak attempts to bite the disgusting creature.

The underground had so far proven a little macabre but nothing too threatening for the priest and his allies. He wondered if they'd find anything at all until finally confronted with two monsterous creatures. The large reptile would dart forward, his blessing having faded but still invigorated enough to rush to the defense of Ren. Better they attack the strong scaled war priest than their agile scout. Once in front on the defense, he would call upon the hymn of his platinum dragon lord, feeling his scales become sturdier and more appear to improve his defenses.

Seeing that his two companions gave up some of their own healing for their hostess, Varak would hold off on it for now. Oblivious to the strange courtship rituals humans undergo, he began looking over her wounds for a moment before he'd offer her help in standing when she was ready. He was in full agreement with Praetor though about her needing to leave, concerned about the leader they had captured as well.

"Our initial objective has been accomplished. I can guide miss Ameiko back to the Rusty Dragon if you wish to explore these tunnels. We should also take care that our captive was safely tucked away in case any goblins attempt to reclaim him from the guards," he'd offer to the group, looking to help as best he could.

Having stepped away to wipe his have, tail thumping on the ground in an unintentional display of aggravation, Varak let his companions take control of the interrogations. He did not trust his anger with the half-elf, especially since his tenants only allowed mercy once for their enemies. The father of dragons would never forgive such an insult. Afterwards, Varak would follow after his companions down below, silent as he contemplated if it was possible they were too late. The lizardfolk truly hoped not.

"You have much to answer and if you surrender and cooperate the grace of Apsu will see you unharmed and spared. Let us start with the most concerning: where have you hidden Miss Ameiko," the reptile was quick to get to the point, his tongue flicking from his mouth as he seemed a bit agitated despite wishing for peace. Frankly, this elf has caused quite a bit of misery for the town and had possibly hurt someone Varak knew to be very kind. It was a struggle to not be more violent with one who deserved it, but the priest pressed on and prevailed, though he had yet to learn of the horror hidden just behind him.

With their enemy defeated, Varak quickly took to his knees, looking over their fallen foe. "My friend, please apply your manacles before I heal his wounds. He has questions and crimes to answer and I'd appreciate his hands and feet bound as to avoid any of those punches or kicks," he asked of his armored friend. Rather than cast one of his more potent healing spells, he'd instead channel the fervor of his faith, only needing the mans wounds sealed.

Varak switching to aid in battle against the leader of the goblins the reptile would come in hard, snarling as he went for a bite.

Hearing the familiar sounds of tiny goblin voices, the lizard priest knew what was surely in their future. Stepping back from the door, he was careful to mumble out the spell of blessing, trying to be as quiet as possible so as not to be heard in the other room.

"Great Waybringer...guide our strength. Let us be swift to turn our many foes to one," he whispered, feeling his magic pour out. They would take down the goblins, and ask whichever surrendered or survived where Ameiko was.

Thanks guys xD and I remember just enough to say it was fun!

Varak would remain close and quiet, following the others lead. For now, he'd keep his hand locked tightly around his small silver holy symbol. He was sure he'd have to support his friends first before he pounced into battle.

Keeping up close behind Praetor, Varak would watch the groups back as the silently investigated enemy territory. Somewhere in here was at least a clue to miss Ameiko and that was the lizardfolks only true goal.

Sorry for delay, back from my birthday in Vegas

Once inside with his companions, Varak would give the room a quick glance around. It seemed simple enough and with help now on the way, he could only hope backup from the guards and sheriff wouldntnt be long. Until then, he'd move for the door on the right, moving to open and peak inside.

Varak would enter the inn, having awoken early to replenish his spells and do a morning walk. He'd tilt his head to the side after hearing the commotion and seeing the worry in the room, though he knew not what it could be. Only after someone filled him in and showed him the note would he have any idea on what they should do.

"The only thing we can do is go to this Glasswork place and check on Miss Ameiko. We must check on her and see if her father or this Tsuto know anything," he said calmly. Despite his outward appearance of calm though, he seemed to be shaking with barely restrained rage that that old man might've hurt such a kind soul, his tail slamming into the floorboards beneath him.

Varak watched angrily for a moment and moved to react and grab at the old man until Ameiko managed to get him off. Varak would only remain close by until he left, fixing the noble with a savage glare of his amber colored eyes until he left. He'd only chuckle some at the joke, but had indeed felt his mood soured some by the tussle. It took quite a bit of food and conversation to calm him down, but even still, he was left wondering what it had all been about.

Varak would only snort at the irony of those injured at the cathedral being mentioned. He had yet to tell his friends of his day of healing, so this man would be rather disappointed to even find that thanks to them. It wasn't until Ameiko appeared and began to quarrel with the wealthy looking fellow that things became awkward. Varak would slowly rise to his feet as the two grew louder. He did not wish to intervene in personal matters, but with the contempt the man had shown already to his companions, he wanted to be ready should violence occur against his intended target. Especially when miss Ameiko had already been so nice and welcoming to him.

Varak was happy to help Ren through her brief fright, and greatly enjoyed his conversation with Prawtor. It had been a rather fun night and certainly enjoyable, the warpriest giving Chrona a little nudge and a wink, a secret message to awe the audience as she had with the children not to long ago. However, the sudden appearance of the old man would surprise them all as he slammed the door.

He would not say much, even when subtly insulted as meddlers and putting the town in danger. He'd only eye the man, quietly considering his words and letting him share and think what he felt. His tail did strike against the floor once in annoyance but he was quick to reign that in check as well.

"Thank you Father Zantus. It's the teaching of my master and of Lord Apsu that guide me to protect any I can. Mindless destruction and wickedness cannot be tolerated. I will use your gift and my own to help here and wherever my path leads after," he said, happy of his with the human priest. Although his friends couldn't join him this day, he was excited for their shared feast

Varak attends that night, dressed in his best robes for the evening. He grins wide at the approval and friendliness of all those in attendance, and even wider at the toast in honor of him his friends. He sat close with the others, whispering thanks to both Lackspell and Ren for their cooking.

Varak will spend his time as he always does, walking the paths of Sandpoint, eager to see what new treasures and people lie ahead. He happily informs his companions that any who wish to join him are of course welcome. Upon learning of those still injured on his walk, he will most assuredly make his way to the cathedral. Not seeing any need for his casting of spells this day, he will give up all three healing spells to heal those that are injured.

Varak could only chuckle as Ren shook his hand, happily returning it and giving a grin and shrug at the young paladins energy, admitting it would be quite has to fight down his instincts when it came to eating. The boat had been a fair catch and it tasted far better than any goblin. The joy that came from the praise of his friends and the pride of the successful hunt, outweighed the feeling of annoyance towards the noble who seemed more focus on the females of their group. Again though, he'd swallow it down for the journey back. "It was a hunt we can be proud of! I hope you all can enjoy every bite of this pig!
