Beliefs: The Skywalkers are heroes to the Wookiee people. Emperor Skywalker revealed that Darth Sidius was behind the machines attacks on Kashyyyk. Emperor also revealed the many slave ships that Darth Sidius had used to collect Wookiees to work on his construction projects. Emperor Skywalker freed the slaves and brought the 'people' home.

Being a Wookiee, Urirawa, accepts Skywalker's philosophy of the Force far better than the philosophy of the Jedi Counsel. Violence is part of nature and life on Kashyyyk. Living with nature doesn't mean being a tree which is fed on by all that come by for a meal.

Background: Wookiees live long lives. Urirawa was barely an adult of twenty years when Anakin overthrew the Emperor. He has lived much of his early adult life under the new Emperor and seen how life has promised.

Despite his thoughts on how things have gone for the better, he is constantly in argument with his parents and grandparents. They remember centuries of rule by the Republic and the Jedi Council. They remember that it was the Jedi that fought beside the Wookiees in the Clone Wars. They refuse to accept change and always talk of the way things used to be.

It was this refusal to change that drove Urirawa to seek enlistment with the Imperial Marines. He has a desire to prove that Anakin's Empire is better than the Republic that it replaced.
